CIBC Branch with ATM

Worst customer service ever.they dont care to let you wait.they try that you wait as much as possible in the queue. Ridiculous people

I deal with a lot of banks and various branches, Ginger was most helpful and informative. I'm not sure the other reviews are accurate, so I needed to leave this review for others to know that their service was beyond any other branch I've dealt with.

Came in and waited in line for half an hour just for some lady to walk in off the street and SKIP THE LINE… and get serviced at a closed till… make it make sense.

The receptionist Almirah so rude she doesn’t have a sense how to talk to customers, she wasted time, branch should notice these things so they can aware of this and fire her, and hire other perosn

Vere very poor service no receptionist there, I had an appointment but no one was at reception so I had stand in queue. It happens always. Please don’t come here even it’s closer to you.

Horrible customer service especially from the branch manager, Ginger. Says she'll do something and doesn't and then shows no empathy or concern for the headaches and wasted time due to her error. She should not be the face of the branch with an unfriendly demeanour and no customer service skills. And that's only one instance. Had a new credit card sent to the branch on another occasion and rather than calling me to remind me to pick it up, they just sent it back to main office and I didn't find out until I showed up to pick it up.

If you need tellers service, Make sure you have lot of spare time.
This branch is always busy due to two reasons, only one branch in Kitchener have teller service.
Secondly short staff, only 50-60% tellers stations open and servicing.

This branch is in the busiest area of cambridge and always seen a long queue towards teller since there are only 1 to 2 people assisting.
Since you are aware of the scenario why dost you try to provide better service as it could be 45 min around of waiting before your turn comes up

Told I was unable to withdraw funds because I had forgotten to bring in my ID. Was told one of the tellers who knew me (from banking at CIBC for 30+ years) was not able to confirm my identity. Great job CIBC. I am moving my banking elsewhere.

A washroom seems like such a basic necessity to provide your customers. I was in this location today and they did not have a public washroom. Do better.

Edit"I went there a few weeks ago, and my advisor laughed at me for not knowing about banking and I got scammed for $300 she laughed, and then denied laughing at her customer" I would not suggest cibc, or this branch especially. They make you wait in the waiting room, well they're chatting about non work issues, complaining about they're life and making me suffer and wait, will I have to listen to that, and they take 2 hours for something that takes 5-10 minutes. Definitely 0* and if I could find a bank closer and better o would gladly. CIBC is not friendly, or helpful at all especially at this branch. Changed from 0 to 2 star only because they gave me a free account for 5 years because they always mess up with me.

Went to use the drive through ATM. The machine wouldn't give me my money. The machine was clearly malfunctioning. Kept saying to take my money but it wouldnt release my money. Then said retracting money. It never went back into my account. I found out the same thing happened to the car in front of me as well. I called the store the next day (as it was after hours when it happened) and left a voice mail as it wasn't a small amount. No answer. Called again and left a voice mail with my info to call me back. No call back. This bank doesn't care about you, but they are more than happy to keep your money and gost you. Very disappointed in them for the lack of care and communication.

The entire branch staff needs to be taught some training in customer service

I have always had a good service at CIBC, but last couple of visits have been bad. Ordered a draft last month and wasn’t even told that there’s a fee and I was charged. A teller named “Almira” today really proved that she doesn’t belong there yet still works there.

I made the mistake of going to this branch to get a money order from my business account for a contractor. I was told the person I was giving it to could just have their bank call the branch manager so the funds could be released right away. Bank manager wouldn’t answer the phone, the bank wouldn’t answer the phone for 3hrs. Went to my local branch which I should have done in the first place and they even tried to direct message the branch manager who was showing online at the time and no response! Thankfully my local branch was able to help with verifying the funds but it was a very frustrating experience.
