TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE. My mother's CIBC credit card was inactivated for no apparent reason. She is elderly, almost deaf. We called the credit card, they told us to go to the branch. We went to this branch at Yonge Norton on Friday January 5th at 11: 15am, and the very unhelpful teller told us to call the card. We just called the card, and again, they told us to go to the branch. CIBC how will you compensate my parking fees, and more importantly my time?

Do not know anything. Do not go this place. They can not solve any problems. Their answer is always same solution ”call to this number”.

The staff knows nothing about their own processes and keeps taking in circle, wasting my time and told me contact customer service by phone. The agent on the phone said it is supposed to be done at branch.

I had an appointment with one of the advisor and it was so disappointing. No other Bank is like CIBC, we put our money to open a checking account and he was saying it costs 7 dollars per month, THIS IS RIDICULOUS. This BRANCH is the WORST as they wanted to offer me a good deal to compensate for what they cannot offer, and they didn't have any option: -D, so funny. Why do you offer me when you don't have anything as a sign of compensation? I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO THIS BRANCH. I WOULD GIVE THEM ZERO STAR OR BETHER SAY -10 STARS.

I went to this branch for a bank draft and cheque and I needed a lot of guidance regarding what I wanted.

Luckily, Mona at the front desk was extremely patient in explaining and outlining everything for me. She guided me step-by-step and was really nice through and through.

Really appreciated the experience and might even go out of my way to come to this branch whenever I need something.

I applied for my new credit card at this branch since my previous one would be expired soon. I have been waiting for 3 months since then.when I asked my advisor about my application and he just asked me to call the VISA contact centre to figure out my own credit card application. When I called the VISA contact centre I found out that he even didn't send my application.they said they didn't receive anything. It was so disappointing and frustrating. I just wasted my time for nothing. It took 2 weeks when I applied for my first credit card with another branch in Bayview.

Overall positive experience! The front desk was attentive and all the staff are trying to help out. We had an appointment with Mr Bo Tsang who was super helpful and resourceful. Will definitely come back for future appointments!

This branch @ 5255 Yonge St.was the worst. My husband tried to deposit a US cheque but got rejected. The reason was they don't THINK it was a cheque. The teller was extremely confident about her judgement. Most surprisingly when the teller confirmed with the branch manager (Irteza Siddique) under request, we got the same answer. We ended up deposited the cheque at another CIBC branch @ Sheppard and Yonge WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. It is worth to mention that we deposited cheques from the same issuer at other cibc branches/ other banks and never had problem before. Kindly suggest the staff including the manager to be retrained.

The front desk manager was really kind and polite and happy to assist but other than that the service was horrible. I had been waiting for Eric for about an hour only to hear that he wouldn't help me. He didn't even bother finding a solution. He has absolutely no idea of customer service! Neither 'sorry' for not being able to help, nor slightest intention to resolve my issue. I've never been treated like this before. The image of the bank suffered greatly! I'd rather switch to another bank.

Despite terrible experiences at another branch, on several occasions, I had extremely fast, professional service immediately at this branch. Their Customer Advice Manager was truly outstanding. If only this type of excellence was available everywhere.

Alex was a wonderful client service rep! I don't normally go into the branch, but this time I needed help with something I wasn't too familiar with and she was such a good help. She was very understanding, despite how busy the branch was! I'm glad the one time I went in, the process was made as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

The teller call Jane had very bad service. Cause I cannot explain the name of the document I need, so I call my friend on the phone to talk to her. During this time she shows unhappy also talk mean to my friend and I.
里面有一个说中文的小姐姐还是很好的,前台那位叫Jane的服务态度真的很差,一直在翻白眼。而且也不会认真听别人说话,一直在打断我的表达。

Trust me it is a very thoughtful review that I am posting and is based on couple of my experiences with this branch.
The first experience when my wife approached an advisor to open an account the agent had no proper explanations about various account offerings. Today when we again had to meet an agent about various mortgage details again some other agent wasn't able to clear out basic questions about insurance and made us feel less confident about the bank.

I have never been satisfied with this place services. The staffs are not professional and helpful, from tellers to managers.

My experience with cibc was very frustrating. I recieved incorrect information on several occasions and was tricked into paying unnecessary fees. On top of that their customer service was horrible. Never recommend it.

Been waiting almost 2 hours to see banker to move money from tfsa and close it. Apperently out of all the bankers they have only 1 of them can do it and my time is not valuable. Will be dropping cibc as my service provider like a bad apple. Prob make me wait for only banker who can close bank accounts estimated wait time 45 hours.
