CIBC Branch with ATM

I recently visited this branch to resolve a credit card issue. A staff called the credit card centre, and then left me there to wait as the waiting time was quite long, which is understandable, she needs to attend to other clients. When the line was answered after a long wait, I had to respond to the call myself, because no one was there and I was not able to answer some questions, and almost got hung up. Luckily another staff came by to help and resolve the issue for me. Two stars for the helpful staff, but not able to give anything higher as the customer service at the branch as a whole is lacking.

I went there today around 11 am to withdraw money and for some reasons I didn’t use the machine, the teller, middle-aged lady, finished with the man before me then looked at me and nodded, I went to her counter, she didn’t say a word, just looked at me and waited with straight face, the card machine was on the lower level and she didn’t offer it to insert my card, I put my card on the counter and said I want to withdraw some money, she asked for my ID which was very unusual at that point, I gave her my driver license that was renewed recently, still valid but has the ministry sticker, she asked for the other paper they gave me for renewal, I said I left them in the car and offered my SIN card or Citizenship card as alternative, she said only driver license is accepted here, I told her these are my IDs and this is my bank card, my bank card alone should be enough, she said “Maybe you picked it up from the street”.
I realized I was getting special treatment, my bank card on the counter still didn’t touch her machine yet, I took my card and went to the bank machines and withdrew what I wanted.

Very unprofessional, wont be coming back.

I made an appointment to get a new visa and open a line of credit, I was supposed to meet with Simrat, she showed up half an hour late, so I met with someone else. Halfway through the appointment, I am rushed out because another client is there. Then I made a telephone appointment and the person forgot to call me, so I had to email him and remind him.

2 stars because the guy was nice, but overall the branch is run poorly.

Terrible service! Simrat Kalsi helped me open an account and she issued dividend visa instead of Aventura visa. Now she's not picking my call. The online cibc customer service has not been able to resolve my issue since last 1 month. I will never refer anyone to this bank.

Today I visited the branch and the teller was coughing from the beginning of my transaction to the end do not understand why she is still working when she is clearly sick. I also couldn't bekeive the Branch manager who is a an elder gentleman was making a teller clean the lobby with a broom from the 1800's that witches use to fly i felt bad for the young girl. So if your there watch out for the witch broom

Waited 30 mins in line today because of understaffing. Because this branch is so small, the line up went outdoors. Avoid this Branch in wintertime.

Poor service! They closed 15 minutes early than actual time. It’s 6.48pm and I’m still outside the branch on Saturday evening. Not professional at all.

Horrible customer service! Did not want to help at all. Older lady with greying hair was unnecessarily rude to me. Told her about my situation and she said just go to another branch maybe they’ll help you! Incredibly disappointed by this experience with CIBC. Been with this bank for 5 years and haven’t dealt with a worse branch!
