Called this branch of CIBC last week regarding mortgage assessment. I was given an appointment on Sep 09,2023 at 10am and was told that one mortgage advisor will call me. I was waiting for the call on Sep 09,2023; till now, no one called me. Then today, I called this branch again and I was given mortgage advisor Vatly's phone number to call her directly and discuss about mortgage. I called her today at about 05: 15pm. Her customer service is so horrible. At first I asked her whether it's good time for her to talk or she wants me to book an appointment. She wanted to continue discussion about my mortgage assessment. At a point when I asked the interest rates; she told me that interest rates are confidential ; so she can't discuss the interest rates over the phone and I need to book an appointment in-person at the branch. However, at the beginning of our conversation, I asked her whether she wants me to book appointment or she wants to discuss about mortgage assessment right now. She wanted to continue. While I was asking "Are you saying interest rates are confidential? Are you sure? " Then she changed her mind in 30sec and told "actually not confidential. " She just lied me. So I was not interested to continue our conversation with her as she just lied what she told just 30min ago. Morning shows the day. She might cheat me if I would continue with her for mortgage. Our conversation stayed 2min 46sec. Would rate zero if possible.

I went to this branch after a long time. Staff are great, their general manager Jenn was amazing to work with. She was very helpful, friendly and professional. Thank you.

I go to this branch once a month with my elderly mother and always receive terrible service. Not only they are slow, but they've given my mother $20 short the last 2 times we were there. My mother's an elderly woman and my whole family and I are appalled at how they take advantage of the elderly. It's the holiday season and we're in a global pandemic yet it seems like the tellers are thieves here. I can't even take my mother back to talk to them because she's scared of getting sick and we would have to ask for a friend to take us back. DO NOT RECCOMEND.

For this particular location, I would like to thank and appreciate the behaviour and her friendly nature. I’m talking about FELLISTUS CHANGA. She is just amazing.

Very unprofessional. Nikita the client supervisor seems to raise her voice at customers. When put in her place, she has a temper tantrum similar to a child. Not sure how these people are selected for management positions. Do better CIBC!

CIBC never fails to disappoint their clients. 6 ppl in line and only one person working the desk. So far 15 mins in line and no movement. Gotta love it. Almost transferred all my services to TD can’t wait transfer the rest.

Yusuf was very helpful and friendly during our credit card application. He helped through the steps, as well answered my questions clearly. Also the environment of the work place is spacious.

Went in for some personal banking and was very pleased to see that it was busy yet well managed.
The young manager Tarun D was at the door guiding the traffic and ensuring safe social distancing while telling people that they could use the ATM for smaller tasks. I had to wait about 5-8 minutes but noticed that he was engaging with his customers and the fact that he knew some of them by name showed that he does not sit at a desk and manage but does it the old fashioned way - MBWA!
Very nice experience compared to other banks and branches that seem so sterile!
Positive attitude by the manager at front made me give 5 stars Totally different environment compared to other branches and banks.

Disappointing seeing more employees then customers and customers still have to wait 5 minutes in line.
This is exactly why we need more ATM then these lazy staff.

I went to CIBC without appointment but they were kind enough to squeeze me in and help me out especially I would like to thank Sara Xu, who not only patiently answered all our questions but also advised us on how to optimise our savings. Great experience.

Not the staffs' fault but the reduction in tellers is greatly affecting service.
Long line ups made worse when a teller is occupied doing something complicated with a customer.

They won’t treat you the same way they treat you first day when you open the account. It was a huge mistake to start banking with them.

I was there today and i had a meeting with an employee there and he was so rude and almost rushing me out of his office saying that he has a meeting afterwards, so unprofessional, it has been my best location for years but unfortunately bad service taken place over this location

If you’re looking for helpful and caring staff, bank here. The new manager is great! I hate banking but going to this branch makes it a bit easier/more enjoyable. Can’t wait to continue banking here.

Very slow. Always a line up to see Teller. 2 managers walking around doing nothing. Maybe hire another teller instead of 2 managers.

I came here with my co-worker who has an account with CIBC. Plenty of free parking too.

This branch is a new stand-alone location; it's not part of the Scarborough Town Centre. It is large and has a beautiful layout and pleasing decor in CIBC colours.

There are 4 self-service banking machines upon entering the branch.

I was cheerfully greeted by a gentlemen at the service desk who told me that I could open a bank account at this branch just by pulling up a seat and inputting my personal information at one of two display stations situated at a nice counter. Very inviting.

Anyhow, the wait time for customers lined for teller service was minimal and my friend seemed happy about his experience. I was also happy for the experience as a non-CIBC client.

The service was great. The staff including the manager stayed late to make sure all my requirements are satisfied. They were friendly, very patient and fully capable.

The financial manager is super annoying, the guy just keeps talking beside me while I was sighing the contract and even interrupt my conversation with the adviser. Since he knows I have my main bank account with TD so he dis TD saying bad things about TD bank which I don’t understand what his purpose is. And the adviser keeps mentioning that Asian people (Chinese) like doing blah blah but what do I care?

Good for Int'l Students. I made a Visa credit card for student. This can help me build my own credit.
