I made an appointment with Vaibhav Bhagat gentleman from this branch to issue a credit card on monday. I thought I had taken out my card with no problem until this morning when he called me. He called me because there was a missing signature so I had to go to the office and sign it. I took some time out of my busy day and went to the bank and waited for fifteen minutes doing nothing and the guy said after calling a few places the problem was resolved and I didn't have to do anything. I want to ask you is it just your time valuable? I wasted my time because of a mistake that wasn't mine and doing nothing. If only you could give my bus money back.bad experience from the start CIBC

Both my debit and credit card were blocked when I tried to make a purchase on an Indian website. I came to this branch to get the cards unblocked and the teller kept telling me the cards weren't blocked at all and wasn't believing me when I said my transactions were getting declined at POS. She made me go back and forth and made me buy a coffee at Timmies to check if the card was working or not. I went back and forth 3-4 times and had to bring receipts back with me to show that the transaction was getting declined. She then created a new debit card for me then again made me wait to get the credit card unblocked. I was at this branch for a total of 3 hours (there were pretty long lines and they weren't moving quickly, were basically stopped at the entrance) and wasn't able to buy lunch as both my cards weren't working and I hadn't brought any cash with me that morning when I started work. All this happened on a work-day / weekday! It was a total nightmare of an experience! They need to value people's time better at this branch and the staff needs training or replacement altogether by more competent staff.

The branch has some nicest advisors I have ever seen. Shout out to Charley who patiently assisted my grandmother with her online banking. Real gentleman with a great heart.

For years been with this bank and specifically going to this branch and NEVER have I got any help regarding any banking situations only promises that someone will call back. Wouldn't recommend no one to ever deal with CIBC nor go to this branch location. Terrible!

I've visited this branch 2 times in the past month and the customer service was excellent both times. The first visit I came at a busy time, but a lovely gentleman named Mahesh approached and asked if he could assist while I was waiting in line to be served. He took me to his office and was able to help me from there. Very kind, considerate, and had good attention to detail.

My second visit earlier this week, a lovely lady whose name I did not get took time and care to help me with a complicated transaction at the desk. She was also very personable and friendly.

I will continue to visit this bank thanks to these lovely people.

Came here Aug 26th 2021 to do deposit at ATM. This branch had nice looking upgraded touch screen on all 4 ATM's and figured should be possible. However to my surprise, could only do withdrawal or change PIN or pay bills or transfers. No option to do deposit.

Curious why cheque or cash deposit feature not be enabled at this bank branch?

I was very happy with the service and customer service I received here. I was there on 3 different occasions: getting a bank draft, setting up an account, and getting financial advice. With every visit at this location, I was greeted, served in a timely manner, and had all my financial needs met. To my pleasant surprise the teller remembered me from my first visit to this branch. This definitely doesn’t happen at other branches. Setting up a new account was easy. The bank manager introduced me to a knowledgeable account representative, and he set everything up quickly and easily. It was great to see that before setting up my pin on the representative’s keypad or the card pad, everything was wiped down with disinfectant wipes. Every visit I had at this branch, whether the teller, the account rep.or the financial advisor, they all answered my questions and provided sound financial advice on how I can reach my financial goals. Everyone was nice and friendly. The bank manager made sure everything was good before I left. He was very friendly and easy to talk to about financial concerns. He directed me to the right person to handle my needs and went above and beyond to resolve any issues. I can feel the great team energy at this location!

My experience with the CIBC located at Parkway mall was very worse with one of their financial advisor named Musafir Rahman. I was there for applying a credit card and this man was misguiding me. Actually I got all the details about the credit card which I was about to apply from internet. Also my friend who is working in CIBC who explained the credit card details as well. He suggested me to get the particular credit card from CIBC based on my needs. But this financial advisor misguided me and forced to apply for another card which I don't wanna apply. When I asked him about the credit card which I am planning to get, he said he doesn't know about that. I am wondering how come a financial advisor won't be able to explain their services what they are suppose to do. Such an unprofessionalism. I was so desperate. This man mentioned "some of their credit card services are only for their good clients. " What does that mean? So every other clients are bad clients or Something else? If this is the way of treating their clients, they won't be able to have an excellence in the future.

Very bad customer service job received from the lady working at the end of counter by employee's entry/exit door. Not recommend that location at all.

After going to the CIBC location at York mills and Leslie and receiving terrible, rude and unprofessional customer service, I visited this Ellesmere and Victoria park location about 15 mins later and received the complete opposite. Thank you Simon Yin for not only setting up an account that fit my needs fast and efficiently, but also for giving me amazing present and future financial advice. I was very pleased with the service at this location.

There is no worse in CIBC bank than this branch. Their services are bad. When you ask them about it, you feel as if you are asking someone in the street and not bank employees as if they do not know anything. I don’t repeat it and I come to this branch. Their service is very bad.

This is my home branch. Amer Maamari always greets me with a smile and offers full assistance, he goes out of his way to make sure I leave the branch with everything I needed. Rathna and Farzana are always extremely helpful as well. Love the kindness from the workers. Thank you!:)

Service) and it was a pleasant experience. He was friendly, honest, helpful and proffesional. I took his business card in order to deal with him again.

I guess in terms of profitability, customer service takes a back seat.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I moved from this bank years ago and my mom still deals with branch well needless to say she will be moving to scotia bank as cibc staff are so rude and extremely slow on regular business items.

CSR Rathna helped me with my issue and it was sorted out very quickly. Having a branch as well as an ATM inside the mall helps a lot too.

All these posts about how Amer Maamari is amazing are all FAKE! It is obvious that he just got a bunch of his friends to write reviews about him.
He is one of those full of air sales people who over promises and just simply doesn't deliver. He is incompetent and can't handle the simplest requests.

Do not believe this guy or all the great "reviews" about him. He will get fully exposed eventually.

Very unsatisfied with the service (or lack thereof) that I received from Amer Maamari. He lacks the technical knowledge and customer service skills and I would not want to deal with him in the future.

I made an appointment with Amer and had to wait ~ 1 hour to see him, and once I finally was able to meet with him, I was being marketed lines of credit and other products right in the beginning of my appointment, without consideration for my actual matters, but rather to fulfill his personal sales objectives.

I had problems with previous 2 branches in Scarborough. In the first one Bhavesh tricked me to invest my savings and not reducing my Line of Credit interest rate, in the second branch instead of reducing my LoC inter rate from 12.15% (and my credit score was 780) they said it will be 13.60%! In both cases were Indian workers, I don't know if there is any connection.
In this branch I came without appointment just to check up again on my possibilities and I was accepted fast. They gave me their first free agent and it happened to be
Mr. Amer Maamari. AMAZING PERSON.
He was patient, polite, not aggressive, trying to help me and not to take more like previous workers, you could see on his face goodness. He reduced my Line of Credit interest rate. I know it was not his decision to reduce it, but he really helped me by presenting my case further. Afterwards, he thought me couple of things to do and build the relationship with the bank, so I can reduce it even more in the future.
I really recommend Mr. Amer Maamari to anyone.

Worse bank ever. I just waited 30 min in line watching the whole staff talk and laugh about “pink day” while 2 tellers helped a line of 6. When I got to the teller they would not let me pay my bill that’s due because the cheque I was paying with was not from their bank. What century do you do business in. If I sat at home I probably could just take a photo of it and pay my bill. Horrible service. I will be moving my money out. Last straw!

People who got here later than me got serviced first. One of the employees asked to the last guy in line and so on (exact the opposite way they should've done) and we had to wait quite a while
