What the hell happend to the CIBC in Stouffville been with this Bank in Stouffville for over 25 years it has changed for the worse long line ups short on tellers and some of the tellers I don't think they really know what they are doing new tellers I see alot this BRANCH needs help of some kind 'll

Always when I walkin regardless morning or afternoon, only 1 counter open. Minimum wait 20 to 30 minutes

Always a huge line up and short staffed. I have spoken to many people including Markham and Stouffville branch managers But no improvement. Right now there are 6 customers ahead of me and Friday afternoon sad to see only ONE teller on duty.
Next door TD has 5 teller working at the same time.
I don’t know what’s happening with CIBC?

Worst bank in stouffville, had to visit 4 times just to close my account with them. Highly incompetent staff, I wish I could rate them 0. What a waste of time.

I've been reading comments about this CIBC. I guess I'm not the only one who has issues with this bank. I lined up to speak to a teller because I had some questions about the account. Yup super long line. The teller said he doesn't know anything and I need to speak to an advisor. So he booked an appt for me to speak with an advisor. They said Amy will be calling me 3pm on Thursday. Guess what. No one called me. I guess it's time to switch banks. Is it just CIBC or all other banks are like that? Wonder what's the headquarters doing?

Some of the rudest and dismissive staff. I’ve had an issue with taking care of a families members account. I cannot ever seem to book an appointment. No one’s ever there to work. When pleading for help with this issue I have repeatedly been looked at like a criminal. In fact I had TWO tellers actually throw their hands up and walk away from the counter. One young teller saw this happen and offered some help. And this is even with a POA. THIS
BRANCH IS DISGRACEFUL. I have even left messages on their telephone line that do not get replied to. Bad, bad customer service.

The tellers are helpful and friendly once you get to the front of the line. A very slow branch that doesn't have a lot of tellers once it gets busy. Service does take long compared to the other big 4 banks. Took almost 20 minutes to get one bank draft whereas TD created one in less than 5 minutes for me. Definitely areas for improvement at this branch for speed of service.

I've done my corporate banking with them for over 10 years. I asked them for help to release a cheque a day early that was on hold. I've never bounced a cheque or had an issue. I own a mortgage home. They were rude. The teller ask the manager who I observed say "no" through thr glass, then I watched overheard them discuss other reasons to explain the answer to me for 15 minutes while I wanted.

The Staff are friendly enough however the line ups and waits are just too much. Hire more tellers please.

Terrible bank.

They put a block on my LoC during a major reno, resulting in delays and penalties from the contractors. I had perfect payment history as per the bank, but still the block. No one (branch level or corporate) would take ownership of the problem.each saying the block was put in place by the other and could only be removed by the originator. Months of finger pointing and no resolution.

After over 30 years of loyalty to CIBC and this branch I made the tough decision to move my banking to another institution.

I had a mortgage with CIBC for over 10 years, and upon buying a new house my mortgage advisor could not approve me for a mortgage fast enough to secure the funds for the purchase. I was forced to switch to an institution that, while completely new to me, easily approved the mortgage and went the extra mile to earn my business.

I have little doubt that a more experienced CIBC mortgage advisor could have kept my mortgage with CIBC; the junior advisor that was assigned to me automatically through the website left me with zero confidence in the branch, and CIBC as a whole. My advisor turned out to be nothing more than a yes-man that stumbled miserably under the pressure of time constraints.

Sorry to leave 30 years of loyalty behind, but sometimes the grass really is greener.

New branch with US$ funds machine. Was called and updates on my account settings, switched over to new plan and have no banking fees

Poor poor customer service. Bank people all around and customers waiting up to 20 min to make a simple deposit. Unreal! Go to TD where you will get service.

Great customer experience. Victoria - Bank teller helped me day to day banking services more efficiently. Aug 3 rd - civic holiday banks are closed.

Needed to set up some investments. Funny how it was so easy to reach and get in contact with Imperial Service reps. The process was ok until you needed them again. I was advised to call back anytime or leave emails with banking instructions but that’s nearly impossible when nobody now gets back to voicemails and or emails anymore. By far I’m disgusted with the customer service at this location.

They suck here so bad sorry to say but the workers here are useless. It has been weeks since waiting for a money transaction from the bank and still nothing. They do nothing here but sit on there butts it seems. Go to any other bank im planning to change banks.

Had a great experience this week. Visited this branch twice, once to pick up my new credit card and once to make a deposit. Friendly staff and good service. They even gave me red envelopes for Chinese New Year. Thank you:)

Story. Subjectivity and arbitrary has no place in equal society. I went into the branch to deposit funds into my Mum's account because she's out of town and had withdrawals pending. I didn't have the account number. But that doesn't stop the local branch from looking her information up and depositing it in anyway-its been done millions of times. However, I know it's not a rule to do such things it's what one terms "discretionary. " The poor manager said it's not discrimination, it "depends on the person. " I felt sad hearing that mostly because she didn't know the definition of discrimination thus I was arguing with an idiot. Unfortunately this was the 2nd time in my 31 years of life that I was on the losing side of a discretionary judgement. It stung. Both times happened in Canada. That should tell you something. America gets a bad rap but Canada-that's where you don't want to be. I feel bad for the people that have to live here. I feel bad for the tellers that I unloaded a verbal beating on, and I feel worse for the people in line that had to wait and witness it all. I don't know what Canadians see when they see me, maybe just a tall black guy. That's not what the better countries see. Nevertheless as the good book says "forgive them for they no not what they're doing. "

The difference between an American and a Canadian. A Canadian can take abuse. That's why a house cost $900k and the DVP is only 3 lanes. Americans wouldn't tolerate such abuse. My scene today was simply the American side coming out of me from the somewhat minor abuse. All abuse is abuse and I'm not Canadian enough to take any. I wish you well, Canada

PS-I sent my gf in to deposit into my account without an account number.no problems had. She's white. She's blonde. I don't think she has ever been on the losing side of discretionary judgement. I'm jealous of her: P
