Why is a bank closed on a Saturday? There are no CIBC atms in the downtown area except for this bank.

Never had an issue with this location. Lineups may be slow moving at times, but never have any problems.
Those who complained about ATM doors being locked in evening's, need to realize that due to homeless/addiction running rampant, there had been numerous times that paraphernalia found, people sleeping between doors, and also attempted robberies.
Hence why security when is open, and why doors are locked at night.

The worst bank in all of Hamilton so unprofessional telling me my cheque will go through in 4 business days now we're on the 5th day plus there security always on their phone with earpods in them that looks real safe for customers

Really unprofessional, could hear them talking about their personal life with one another. Extremely slow in moving the line forward and awful overall

They are really really really unprofessional, they made me come four times just to change my account to student account, then they still charged me a service fee 29.95 every month (I noticed after 4 months) which I should not have charged for as a student. When I went back their excuses was (my account was not changed to student account) and I had to go back and spend another 3 hours sitting in the bank (again. Their excuse was, the system was working slow). It’s really really frustrating. I don’t recommend. I decided to close my account. I can’t handle this type of bank. Wasting my time. Did not do their job properly.

Meggan Harper at Hamilton 1 King CIBC has been awful to work with. She is unresponsive and uninterested in her work and clients.

Hate this place worst customer service ever.
The teller I talk to must of been having a bad day. She withheld my money for know reason. Theft in one way or another.
God pray for these people. Cibc do better and stop stealing from customers

So, covid restrictions dictate only two people allowed in at a time; sensible.
Post a security guard to ensure that only two people are in the area at once.
NOW SECURITY ONLY LETS ONE PERSON IN AT A TIME BECAUSE THE GUARD BEING THERE MAKES TWO PEOPLE
Why doesn't the guard simply stand outside so two people can enter?

Both customer service and tellers have been very nice to me. Their financial services thought of things I never would have.

Consistently the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Until they find out your interested in their mortgage rates. Rude, condescending, patronizing, arrogant frontline staff. The supervisors in charge of the tellers are incredibly dismissive and short as well as unhelpful and I believe they set the standard for the general attitude. While the downtown main branch is by far the worst, I’ve noticed that this seems to be an institutional problem. You find the same lack of willing helpfulness across the city as well as on the phone with the call centre reps. This bank is more interested in playing the numbers game, I think they prefer their small/medium business clients and just ‘bank’ on the apathy of the Canadian public. For well we know it’s a pain in arsenhole to close a checking account that direct deposits call home, bills are automatically withdrawn from etc. I finally made the switch to TD for my basic personal banking, ie checking/savings/joint and then Scotia for the line of credit/mortgage and iTrade account. I really can’t believe the stark difference in how I’ve been treated with TD and Scotia. I have been to a few different branches and made several calls to both at this point and I am embarrassed I waited 7 years, putting up with the piss poor attitude of the CIBC team. Yikes. (Just for the record I’m not one of those people that constantly go into the branch and complain and whine etc. I never once express my distaste not distain for CIBC while I was a client, not my job to give honest feedback that they can ignore)

And took my money elsewhere

I would like to say a big thank you to Lucy Mattina i had an issue that I thought was unresolvable she sensed this upset me as I was in on a different matter what I thought was amazing that within a few hours I received a phone call from Mrs. Mattina saying my issue was resolved in my favor I had my first cibc account as a teenager and will continue to use their banking services thank you once again for your prompt help.
