I have been a long time regular, food and vibe has always been on par. I do need to comment on a particular server named Lora. She is amazing, always makes us feel so special, and her service is spectacular. Thank you Cibo

The restaurante was mediocre, even though the environment, look and fill, service was cool. The food disappointed me. The only thing I don’t regreat was the wine. It was very sad paying what we had to pay which wasn’t cheap.

Food was good but portions were way too small for the price.
Felt a bit like a production line of getting people in and out in 90mins. Implied pressure to hurry up and not relax and enjoy your meal with family and friends.

Server was in a poor mood, seemed irritated the whole service. Server did not come over throughout our meal and we were unable to top up our drinks while we ate. We had a reservation for 830pm and our receipt said we were served by ‘Night Bar’. The women’s washrooms had no toilet paper in any stalls and just felt a bit dirty. Came for half priced pizzas and ordered 3, some better than others but all average. Ask for your pizza to be cooked well done if coming here. May try another one of their locations but this disappointing and turned us off from the King West location. Definite potential as the vibe is nice. The dining space has a great look to it, nice lighting and music. Hope they can improve their service going forward.

I booked a group event this past weekend. You never know what to expect with large groups, and how well a restaurant can manage it. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it went. The service was excellent, room was great and food was very good too. It surpassed my expectations, I would recommend anyone considering a large party booking to try here. Everyone enjoyed it, and the night had zero hiccups.

Cibo was a pleasant surprise on our quest of food after visiting the wine fest and we could not have chosen a better place. The ambience was amazing and food was delicious. You must Cibo for their Italian food.

It's not the first time I've been in the restaurant. The service is great, love the atmosphere and the service is always good.

Honestly I wish I had a positive experience there but the portions were over priced and the flavour was lacking. The server seemed like she couldn't care less but the server who brought out the food was nice. The wine was over priced and tasted terrible. Unfortunately I wouldn't return or recommend. Hopefully you have a better experience.

Extremely overrated for what it is. I never trust when a restaurant has an impossibly long menu and for good reason. I didn’t have high hopes for fine dining but thought it would still be a notch above your Scaddabushes but in all honesty I will not be returning unless I go for maybe a drink. The calamari rings I wasn’t a huge fan of and the pastas had over-liquidy sauces and were just not worth the price. The staff were overall pretty friendly, so again, maybe a place to grab a drink, but don’t expect a high quality meal from here.

My friend loved her lobster ravioli and lemon cheesecake. I didn’t care much for my chicken parm or my tiramisu, they were “okay” at best. The margarita pizza was very good. The drinks were expensive ($14-$16 each) and the sangrias were disappointing, meanwhile the tropical drink was decent. Overall, I had a wonderful time with my friend, and service was excellent (absolutely 5 star service, thanks Scott!), so I’ll still give it a 4 star rating:)

They crowded us into a small space between 2 tables until we asked to be moved. The music was very noisy, so much so that our server couldn't hear us. The man working behind the food bar did not have his mask on properly at all times and do was breathing on the food. The meals were outrageously expensive, a veal dush 42$ for basically a chop and couple of potatoes.y eggplant appetizer was one piece of hard eggplant with cheese and sauce for 19$. No bread or anything else on the table.

Love everything about this place - from the decor, the music, the service, and THE FOOD. Like wow.

Have been here twice now in fall 2021 and both experiences were very positive. Having sat both in the dining room with friends and at the bar solo I can say both had a good vibe. Food was great, would highly recommend the tuna and avocado tar tar and the branzino fish. Will definitely continue to go back to this location. This is a larger restaurant but it delivers where it’s important. Service and quality.

Excellent chic place to have a meal. If you have the Toronto Key to the City, you get a glass of Prosecco for free.

The food is amazing, and pricing is quite reasonable. We went here for dinner on the patio after my wedding. Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Visited Cibo for lunch and the service was phenomenal. Sat on the patio on the side street, rather than the King side, which was slightly more sheltered from the traffic.
Our servers were lovely. Cocktail selection was diverse. There is a lot to choose from in this menu which is a little overwhelming but the pasta was all delicious - Cibo is a trusty classic.

I came here last night for my friend’s birthday. I’m not sure if they were understaffed but the service was exceptionally slow. Our waters cups were consistently empty, our food took a long time to come out, and our server was very difficult to track down. I understand he had a lot of tables to attend as it was quite busy but it literally took us about 30 minutes to catch him to ask for our bill. That being said, our appetizers were amazing. We ordered the calamari and bruschetta. My friends liked their mains. I’ve had other pizza here before which was pretty good but I tried the Gorgonzola pizza yesterday and ended up throwing most of jt out. Don’t order it.

Staff is very attentive and experienced. Decent selection of white and red wines mostly from Italian regions. The food is fresh and delicious. If you are into spicy pizzas I def recommend trying out the Diavola and the San Giorgio. Overall, a great experience!

Service was ok. Asked to refill my cup a lot. If my friend asked for her cup to be refilled, mine wouldn't be refilled until I asked which is whatever once or twice but it was the whole night. We moved from outside to inside because the sewer smell was overwhelming at times for my friend. Our server outside made it a point to have us seated in her area inside and then disappeared halfway through service. She still served her other tables but not us so we had to flag to get service unfortunately. Ravioli was wonderful.

Overall had a great time at the restaurant food was good. But after about 5 hours me and all my 4 guests fell really sick with food poisoning. We all had intense symptoms of food poisoning. It is a good restaurant but we won't be eating here again.

It was our first time here. The food was really tasty, the ambiance was great, but most of all our service was amazing. We had Olivia and she made the experience one to never forget! I would highly recommend.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s one of my favourite restaurants in the city. The vibe is great, service as well. They have a nicely curated wine list and when I went last time, the wine I had became one of my fave. Recommend this place for date nights.

Service and ambience was amazing, but the food was not as great as I expected it to be. The wine selection def lived up to its name!

Food was great, servers were a little rude. Also waited 25 mins extra on top of my reservation time which I arrived on time for.

Good food and service. Short rib dish and lamb ragu parpadelle were cooked perfectly! Definitely worth coming back.

The food was hugely underwhelming and expensive, and the service was awful. When my partner and I entered the restaurant, we had to wait to be greeted by the hostess that was preoccupied with something at her desk. We stood there for a solid minute before she even looked up to acknowledge us.

The waiter that served us at our table was dressed rather.tattered, to put it mildly, and the second waiter to come by with the drinks was dressed like he came back from a hike: cargo shorts and sneakers-clearly not representative of the fine-dining aesthetic CIBO is going for.

The food was underwhelming. My partner's lobster ravioli was incredibly dry, and tasted "off", and we suspect that it was most likely microwaved. My lamb ragu was okay, but most definitely not worth the expensive price tag.
The cargo shorts server continued to return to our table every 5 minutes to ask if we needed anything (which is normal) however there is a line to the frequency. It felt as if we couldn't get 5 minutes alone.
Finally, when the bill came, cargo shorts server automatically inputted a 25% gratuity on the machine. Excuse me? Isn't it up to the customer to decide how much, or IF we should tip? I think it was rather inappropriate to decide how much he wanted as a tip.
Overall, it was very disappointing. I can think of a million places worth going to for dinner, but CIBO is not one of them.

I went to CIBO King West with my girlfriend on a Tuesday night for dinner. The hostess was friendly and showed us to our seats. However, our server was not. She did not introduce herself, she seemed totally uninterested and it felt like she was trying to rush us out of there. We ordered drinks, apps and dinner and our server did not bring out a single item and were brought out by other staff members who seemed much nicer. Even at one point our server disappeared for a while and another server had to check up on us. As for the food, it came out fast but was mediocre and overpriced. I will not be back nor recommend this restaurant to my friends or family.

Good wine.that’s about it - probably because you don’t have to cook it. Waited for food for 40 min. Terrible service, mediocre food.

We wanted good italian food for a date night in Toronto. The raviolis filled with ribs were something very different and amazing!

Waited 30 minutes for a drink and they kept trying to clear our plates before we were even done eating…

Had a great time at this restaurant. Food and drink options are extensive so there is no doubt you will find something you enjoy. We tried several apps and I enjoyed the braised short rib. The atmosphere is very calm so it is easy to have a relaxing evening here.

We have been waiting for our food for an hour and a half. This is a joke of a restaurant. Management should be ashamed.

Great food and very lovely staff who genuinely cares. Our waiter was very accommodating even though we were waiting for a long time for our friends before ordering. He constantly checked up on us and gave us great menu recommendations!

Hostess asked us to commit to 1.5 hours at the door. This seems to be a new trend in the restaurant business. I was there with a much younger family member so I simply informed them that I would not commit to such nonsense and it was they that needed to decide whether to provide us a table or not. If I was there with my wife who prefers a premium dining experience we would have quickly concluded that this place is for children and we would have simply left.

Service at the table was decent, polite and more mature than at the front door. Food quality was on par with your prototypical chain restaurant. I ordered a basic chicken parmigiana. Dry, uninspiring but edible. The red wine we ordered was terrific so I can credit them with having a selection better than the usual sugarfied rubbish found in most chains. Given the food and service quality though I'd say the markup was more than it should have been. I'd turn a blind eye to a higher markup if the service was top rate.

Overall I'd say that if you are young, this place is right up your alley. The other kids with limited experience and low standards seems to like it as the other reviews would suggest. If you are over 40 and have progressed to fine dining and fine wining then this place is not for you (or for me). Not to worry. We're not they target demographic. Seems like they're doing just fine with the tweens.

Cino Wine Bar is an experience to be had if you are visiting Toronto or if you live in the Downtown Core. Located right in the heart of Downtown Toronto, Cibo Wine Bar is surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, and convience stores.
The Menu within Cibo Wine Bar is quite unique and different as opposed to other restaurants in the area. Providing delightful options of Italian classics and rustic options that everyone would love. One of my all time favourites to have would be the arancini, a antipasto suggested if it's your first time there. Apart from the antipasto, Cibo Wine Bar provides a wide selection of Mains, such as over 20 different types to pastas to choose from, a huge of selection of fish and steak options and of course, delightful and pleasant dessert options. Also, I did forget to mention to try the Cibo Ale, it's a brisk and bold beer to have. Other than that, the ambience is quite classy and the staff treat you with every ounce of respect. They are pleasant to talk and to offer recommendations when needed.
Definitely a restaurant to go to for a birthday, anniversary or just looking out to eat.

Delicious Italian food served by very friendly staff. They also have a great wine list and a very knowledgeable sommelier to help you choose.

My work buddy took me here. I love Italian food and I wasn’t disappointed. It was fresh and fast. They have great wine selection. Atmosphere was lovely. Definitely recommend this place

Venue has great atmosphere for dinner. Host mentioned we had to vacate the table by 9 (seated at 730p) so we quickly ate our entrees. Server asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, told her what the host said and she confirmed we could stay. Wish i was informed earlier.

2. Calamari was good (a bit salty but still good)
3. Both our pastas were good (a bit salty but still good)
4. Tiramisu was yummy and a fair size for 2 to share

I would come back to try something else.

Food is good and the ambience is very classy and chic. Nice and trendy for the middle of downtown, without breaking the bank. The only thing is that service can be quite slow at times.

I came to this restaurant a total of 2 times before. Last night, my friend had the tagiatelle and felt instantly sick after throwing off her whole night. Funny enough, this also occurred to my sister a year back right after she ordered a pasta as well. I think it's clear to say you need to be more aware of the quality of food you are serving.

It was fabulous! We enjoyed the seafood salad appetizer, seafood risotto, chicken al mattone, tagliatelle and salmon. Service was outstanding. Loved everything about our experience there last night (Nov 24).

Great atmosphere food was reasonably priced. One piece of advice drink beer in these places because mixed drinks aren't very strong.

Came here with a reservation on a Wednesday night for my boyfriend's birthday. The service was prompt and nice. We asked our server for recommendations and he was very knowledgable and happy to give suggestions.

The bread isn't complementary ($3) which we were told about but we went for it anyway and it was very fresh, warm, and soft. The arancini was excellent, especially paired with the spicy sauce to give it a bit of the kick. I liked my seafood linguini, which had a generous portion of seafood. My boyfriend's risotto was also good with similar ingredients except the rice was kind of hard, making it a bit annoying to chew. We got a panna cotta to share which was very creamy and went well with the different kinds of fruit and chocolate on the plate. With all of this and a glass of wine each was about $50 a person before tax and tip which is pretty standard for the area. Also wish they did something for the birthday which I wrote about in my reservation request but alas.

Reasons for such low rating:

Cons:

1. On a Sunday night, the restaurant was almost empty. When my friend asked for a corner table they refused to give it to us because they said it's for more than two people. I get it but when the restaurant is booked and you expect many guests. Till the end of the night when we left those tables were never filled up.

2. My pasta was far over cooked and the sauce was probably pretty old from over boiled out of a can. I can expect that from Spaghetti factory or Olive garden but not a speceliazied italian restaurant.

3. The washrooms were in a horrible state. Very strong and bad smell. Not expected from a restaurant in this class or any other restaurant for that matter.

4. Our desserts, Tiramisu wasn't a tiramasu! It was a taseless cake. I had to eat half of it because I didn't eat my dinner, remember.

5. Antipastis were ok but nothing with special taste.

Pros:

1. Our server Alana was attentive and polite. She took the food off the bill and offered a free dessert. Earnimg the star or even two is merely because of her.

I do not recommend this restaurant.

One of my best experiences dining in Toronto. Interactions with Chef Ahmed only continued to exceed my expectations. Extremely knowledgeable, passionate and attentive staff (front & back of house). Layout of establishment is also very nice. Large open space, high ceilings, modern, elegant layout. Clean facilities. And, of course the food was fantastic. After having an engaging conversation with the chef I was encouraged into trying the Lamb Ragu Gnocchi. Rich in flavour, yet sauce not heavy, highlighted with pieces of pulled lamb. Gnocchi pillowy soft and light. All of this preceded by a great charcuterie platter showcasing keen attention to detail, right down to selecting the most appealing black mission figs and skewer of plump grapes that are so crisp and pop when you bite into them. Top shelf selection of wine. Dessert, Chocolate Baci Bombe. Do yourself a simple favour and TRY THIS DISH. You will not be disappointed.

Clearly my overall all dining experience from the appealing decor, attentive knowledgeable staff, fantastic food and drink, cleanliness and mood setting ambience I would highly recommend Cibo Wine Bar as a place to visit while in Toronto.

This restaurant has mice.
While I was dining there a mouse actually walked right up to my foot, as almost to ask for my food. As soon as I noticed it I freaked out and told the supervisor who didn’t react (I know, I was shocked). She said she was shocked and she did not know about their mouse problem. However I know that if a place has a pest program in place, it includes prevention and monitoring so I don’t believe that they don’t know about their 4 legged tenants. Moreover I’m almost certain they leave pizza toppings out at night since they were re-filling the toppings at the pizza bar at closing.

I’m pretty disappointed in the management at this location because they should be doing better. As an establishment that serves food they should be preventing mice and other pests. For a mouse to approach a customer at the table seems like the mice have become fairly comfortable.

So i`ve had great food expériences at cibo in the past but i tried to book my work team`s Christmas party there and they have the most ridiculous stipulations for any restaurant i have ever seen. Probably because they are busy but that can change quickly. I called the lady in charge of bookings (i wont use her name) and she had the worst attitude i have ever seen.it was basically what she put in the email and that teams are already booking there Christmas dinners.i work in Customer service insurance industry and if i had that attitude with my clients we would be out of business.we would be spedning at least $1000 but they want us to spend $1200 with 18% tip and $200 deposit. I guess they are doing that well and don`t need the business but we will be going to a better restaurant who appréciâtes clients.

This was my first visit and I loved it! Bread should be illegal! Delicious is the only comment I currently have to give, as I currently reminisce about my delectable meal.

Always clean and classy. Ambience is plenty romantic and the artwork in the basement is worth a gander; whether you have to use the facilities or not. Service is fast and friendly and the good is quite good. Overall Cibc Wine Bar is a full five starts thru and thru.

Nice big place, with a great atmosphere. Servers are always very friendly and even the ones not in your section tend to smile on the way by. The food is very good.

Food was extremely salty. Risotto was rock hard. They offered to bring me another one immediately. Not sure how you can do that with a risotto. Service was ok but they hounded us constantly. Aske sfor a beer and a white wine and when the bill came we realized the one they brought us was $27 a glass. Not cool.

My friend recommended Cibo Wine Bar on a visit to Toronto and we were so happy to have gone here. Extensive wine list, wonderful menu, great food and wine recommendations from staff and overall great atmosphere. I had the Ceasar salad; gnocchi with tomato sauce: and the amazing baci bombe chocolate dessert. I loved every bite if this meal and will definitely be back on my next visit.

My spouse was treating an out of town colleague and I was invited to join. The appetizers arrived quickly but the main courses took forever. When they did arrive mine was on the cool side of room temperature. We were offered bread twice and accepted both times but it never came. At no point did the server come by to check on us, replenish water or apologize. 2+ hours for mediocre salad and pizza? In fairness, they did offer complementary dessert to make up for it, but by then we just wanted to settle up and head home to bed. The only thing upscale here is the pricing and we're unlikely to return.

It’s good, I like the environment. The food is missing like an truly Italian flavour but it overall was ok. Would try again and see!

Nicely curated wine list with great pasta. Make sure to get the in-house made stuff! I replaced the chicken & mushroom fusilli with their in house orcchietti. Nice and open but wood-heavy interior makes it modern but warm and the chairs are comfy so you can stay awhile.
