I recently had lunch here with a group of people from work. I ordered the minestrone. I was very disappointed. It was about one ladle of soup made up of mostly carrots and celery. There was maybe 2 small chunks of tomato and 1 chunk of potato. Minestrone normally contains beans. I found a grand total of 2 beans. This was basically a vegetable broth, not minestrone. And how much was this ladle of vegetable soup? $18! Stay away from the minestrone! Cibo has become very cheap with it.

Was honestly surprised at the mediocre pizza at such a well known restaurant. The pizza wasn’t fantastic, but we went because it’s half price on Tuesdays. I wouldn’t pay full price for this, you can get better pizza for less at other Italian restaurants.

I came here last night for the second time and had a wonderful time. Food came out extremely quick and the staff was extremely friendly. Will be coming back

It was terrible experience, the staffs friendly behavior was no compensation for what i was losing in different ways:
Small portions, flies hovering around the foid, mediocre food, less than satisfactory room temperature, very small diluted drink, broken table, leaving the costumer with no option regarding giving tips.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, I hope they will listen to customers and rectify the problems.

July 1 - food was delicious, the tables were falling apsrt though. If you are going to be charging those prices might as well put some money on the seating. The table was rotating and the server was assuring us thay it was fine. It wasn't as when any of us four would touch the table, it would start rotating. We asked to change table and the server didnt seem happy about it.

We had a private room for 12+ people and had lots of excellent food. They even accommodated our dietary preferences.

I had a great time here! The vibe is great. Sat outside and people watched. My waiter was fantastic. I love that he spoke Italian while serving me. Felt authentic. Good was delicious! Ceasar salad was perfectly dressed and the croutons were yummy. (I don't typically eat them). The lobster ravioli was divine! Super creamy and rich. Full of lobster and very filling. The focaccia bread was a nice addition as well. Ordered the red wine sangria- it was ok. A little on the sweeter side, not a rich wine flavor. I should've just got a glass of wine.

Wait time to give the order was long. It was a long weekend night though. The Magarita pizza was one of the best. Very good ambience. Though it took time to take the order, we received the food and drinks in lightning speed.

Found a black long hair in my dish and after i complained they took my dish and didn't care at all. Just left me with no food and they didn't even apologize.

This was our 3rd Bad experience, very poor attention to detail and service. Very slow service, Management seemed either fed up or overwhelmed with customer feedback. Last night we came here to dine in and they got our order wrong twice. We ordered creamy mushroom pasta with shrimp and got tomato pasta. Then second time the right one came but without any salt or any flavour. We had to wait for another 20 minutes for some salt and cheese to add flavour because it was not edible. Then on top that first plate took 45 minutes to arrive, then second plate came after 15 minutes. We had to wait over 1.5 hour just because either our server or chef were not paying attention. Then we had to wait for another 20 minutes for a manger to come to our table to talk. Won’t be returning here ever again.

On hot humid days keep the windows to the patio closed. Give guests who don't want to sit outside or contend with the humidity an option. Other than that always great!

It was nice. The wait was a little long for a server but she was super sweet and apologetic. Food was delicious. Probably figured long weekend Monday wouldn't be too busy but they were slammed. All good though. I used to be a server so I understand how tough it is.

We got their Wild Mushroom, Black Truffle Pasta, White Wine Tagliatelle. The tagliatelle was freshly made in house, cooked al-dente, truffle was pungent, but we expect a bit more than just cremini mushroom when it reads “wild mushroom” on the menu…

Service was also really slow, we waited at least 45 mins from the time we placed our order to finally get the food…

I really loved the food here.got here after my appointment at another downtown restaurant was canceled and i was really amazed at how tasty the food was.i ate everything so i only got a picture of the dessert.but i’m definitely going again

This place was awful. Food was cold and very mediocre tasting. We ordered the tomato appetizer and they forgot to put all the fixings in it; ended up serving cut up tomatoes on a plate. All of our pastas/appetizers were under-seasoned and underwhelming.

I always want to like this place but I can’t. The old brunch was delicious but overall it has been undesirable. The service is lackluster. The food is OK. Design and location are why it’s been open this many years

Restaurant has gone downhill from its original days. Food is decent but quality of ingredients has diminished quite a bit. Wine list has stayed relatively the same with respect to quality and number of options. More than anything front-of-venue hosts seem uninterested in any kindness or hospitality, moreso acting as if your patronage is more of an inconvenience to them. (I got an eye roll when I asked for a table) I’d like to extend the benefit of the doubt that patio season mid covid has made their lives extra busy and I don’t want one experience to dictate future ones but it was definitely a stark change from the Cibo I was used to over the years

Unfortunately my first experience at CIBO was absolutely horrible. We were seated inside near the kitchen. We ordered many apps, 3 mains, many drinks, and a bottle of wine. Midway through our meal, we noticed a lot of fruit flys, and a few house flys flying around us. Then these flys began to land on our food. We requested to speak with the manager. When the manager came over, we pointed to the countless flys that were still on the wall next to us, including the house flys. The manager said that there’s nothing he can do about the flys and that this should be expected in the summer months and due to the humidity. I was absolutely astonished that was the manager’s response. When paying our bills, I asked the server if she has ever had flys in her food at a restaurant, and she said “yes, in the summer”, as though this is to be expected and allowed. We of course did not finish our meals as they all had flys landing on them, and were not offered new meals or anything of that sort. I have been to many restaurants in my time, ranging from basic to very fancy, and never in my life have I had flys landing in my food. I have also never been this disappointed with how the manager decided to deal with the situation. I will not be returning here.

Your management at this location needs to understand how to treat customers who are upset. No one deserves to have flys in their food, especially at a fancy restaurant in Yorkville. This is not the standard of dining that anyone should experience. I am very disappointed and I will be making it a point to make the public aware of this fly infestation at your restaurant. We captured multiple photos and videos of the flys, including the ones landing on our meals. This is so unacceptable and I hope to do what I can so that no future customers have to be forced to eat a meal with flys in it and be told that it’s expected.

The location and decor were exactly what we were looking for, excellent. Unfortunate missing several options ranging from the Bruschetta, lobster Ravioli, luckily I had the last dish of Cannelloni.

The two youngest members of the family inadvertently picked a plain pasta dish (that I firmly believe my kindergarten children could have made with some basic supervision) because we were rushed for time (fixed 2-hours) and the English communication with the waiter was suboptimal. We didn’t want to frustrate our waiter by keep asking him to repeat himself as it was unclear (his pronunciation).

I also found it odd that the waiters seem to presume none of our group would be interested in anything that included a pork product on more than one occasion.

The pizza, the salmon and pesto chicken were much enjoyed. The two pasta dishes and my cannelloni (I’m not a vegetarian) were disappointing.

The focaccia and chilli oil were my favourite.
Next time around, I would sit outside and drink the wine with lots more of these great basics.

We just visited here in July the 9th, 2021 We ordered three dishes.the first two were terrible not properly cooked.then we ordered a normal Margarita Pizza and we expected the pizza to be just like other Pizzas but it was awful. It was so sour that we were unable to eat a small portion of it. Though, the waitress returned the pizza and we didn't have to pay for that.but the rest of foods were also tasteless and rare-cooked even the potatoes and eggs. Not recommended to anyone who is going to celebrate or party or even a birthday you will get surprised! I can only say the coke was normal no I'm kidding even the coke was full of water!

The good: great service, drinks and food. The bad: mussels had terrible odor, washroom cleanliness and state of repair sub-par for venue of this quality (eg stall doors missing locks). They handled the mussel situation appropriately at least.

The place is very cute inside and the savoury dishes are delicious. We tried the lasagna and cannelloni. It is too pricey though The desserts are nothing special to be honest. Overall a cute place.

From the ambiance to the food everything was amazing, but the highlight of our night was our server Ricky! He went above and beyond to make our night exceptional. Coming back immediately!

Horrible experience! Hostess at the front has lacks simple customer service skills but normally you can get past that if the food was good. Ordered the olive bread and margarita pizza and they were both a joke. I remember this restaurant taking pride in their food, now it's just sad. The pizza tasted like cheese & sauce pizza you get in elementary school, bread was sub par. After the disappointing starters, we paid and left.

Normally I would rate my experience at this location 5/5. However last night I took my friend out for a long awaited birthday dinner since patios are now open and we were disappointed with the service to say the least. My meal was pretty good however my friend (the birthday girl) got delivered the wrong meal. It took 5-10 min for us to even see server to tell her they brought the wrong meal and we had to wait another over 10min for the meal to be brought out again. All while mine was sitting there as I was waiting for her to get her food before I ate. When the meal came out again, it was incorrect (she brought Fettucine Alfredo out twice when she had ordered the other shrimp fettucine dish that is a completely different sauce and everything). We explained that it still was not correct as we have ordered this dish many times so we knew what it was supposed to look like but that she would eat it anyways because we didn’t want to wait longer. The server denied this and just said oh maybe they forgot the sauce, I can charge you $3 for the sauce. We declined the sauce and she brought it out anyways and added it to our bill. Why did I get charged for your mistake? On the bill we got charged for fettucine alfredo which is how I knew she was misunderstanding all along even though she never owned up to the mistake or made it right. No apology, no offer of bread or anything while my friend was waiting, no comp, no nothing and in the end not even the right meal. To me this is not at all the service I expect from a Yorkville restaurant. Next time we will try a different location in hopes that the service is what we are used to.
