Cute and cozy. Low priced but clean. Staff were very nice. Street parking wasn't too bad at all. Would recommend on value

An old fashioned movie theatre in the heart of downtown Burlington. The movies playing there are your last chance to see favourites before they’re completely out of the big screen. Prices are reasonable and make up for the lack of the latest and greatest in sound and screen.

I love this theater! You don’t typically get new movies but the prices are super reasonable, snacks are cheap and popcorn is fresh.

It’s like going back to a theater from the 90s. I love it:)

Enjoyed the cinema. Good for group watching also. Honestly, why isn't there a sugar option for popcorn.

This is a great little movie theatre. Been coming here for years both myself and with my sons. Was here yesterday and wanted to get around to my review. It’s noticeably smaller then the big, conglomerate, franchise theatres; fewer seats and the screen is smaller, but the seating is closer to it. But the theatres here are very cozy, the staff is friendly, prices are amazing and the seating is very comfortable. Just a much better ambience. Also, this theatre has recently undergone some major renovations and the seating looks new (or refurbished) as do the interior of the theatres themselves.

The staff is always friendly and courteous. They genuinely appreciate your business. And they charge less than half the price of admission as the big box theatres. Same goes for the concessions. Much less than what you pay at other theatres for the same products like popcorn, slushies and candy. And they also have nice coffee maker that makes lattes, teas, French vanilla, hot chocolate etc. Reasonably priced as well. Had the French vanilla yesterday and it was really good.

They play movies that may no longer be showing at the other theatres, so always check out the showtimes which can be found on most movie theatre showtime sites, like tribute.

If there’s one slight negative is that it is located in the heart of beautiful, downtown Burlington, so it can be tricky to find parking when it’s really busy. But there is a public lot behind it that is free after certain hours on weekdays (6pm I think) weekends, and holidays. You have to pay other times and this lot does get full, especially in summer time. But there are other places to park in the vicinity as well, like street parking. But when it’s busy it can be a challenge to find parking downtown. Not a critique of the theatre, but just something to be aware of.

Besides that, overall it’s a great movie theatre and I would highly recommend it and plan to continue coming here.

Movie wasn't great but for $18 I got my ticket, popcorn, chocolate and a drink where I had the theatre to myself. The man who served me was extremely nice.

The good: Prices are excellent and the service very friendly, facility is clean. Needs improvement: The sound was very low, if you're hard of hearing it isn't very accessible. The butter tasted a bit weird, not sure what they're using. Selection, been playing some of the same movies for months, let's change it up a bit c'mon.

Love this place. Its cosy and bijou but has comfortable seats. Good prices and always good options for films.

The screen quality is good but they should have improved the sound. The volume was too low which was killing the movie effect. Will recommend only if there is no other cinemas to see your movie.

An Icon of a Theater we grew up with! Sure, a lil bit outdated yet room for improvement! So, help out! The staff makes you feel like fam and are doing the best they can.we need more theme nights and i encourage everyone to make that happen. The experience is an experience.something to take home and share, fist time second and through generations.covid or not! Make your voice heard for such an icon of 37 years!

Great little place. Price is right. Thesters are small and cozy. Just don't sit right up front. Hard on thr neck looking up at the screen.

The only place playing Kantara so can't complain but this is the smallest cinema I've seen so far.

Nice cozy theatre. I enjoyed the sound effects and picture quality. 3 star because they dont have seat selection for ticket booking online or in person. It is first come fserve basis. If you are late you will end up in first row.

Took a but of time to find parking as it's not well publicized, but there are municipal parking lots on the rear. Small cozy and well maintained.

Small theatre has its benefits but this ruined our movie experience, theatre is full which is nice but non working/reduced a/c not on par with at least small basement a/c it was suffocating first 30 min until I call and last 20 min again a/c was turned off/reduced. Turned very hot again. Travelled 1.5 hr as it's the only theatre for kantara in whole Ontario which is a joke, we look like fools to ourselves for our efforts. What a disastrous theatre. They are top class at one thing: Pricing
on sync with Cineplex. Which they don't deserve to be paid even a penny

Good popcorn, super friendly staff, great prices and there is ALWAYS a good film playing at Starz!

I understand it’s difficult for small business after Covid regulations hammered them, but unfortunately the Cineplex promotions can actually make it cheaper overall than this theatre if you are getting snacks.

Hopefully they can find a way to make it cheaper again.

Small theatres like this are so hard to find now. Great theatres, great food, great shows! Love it

The floors were dirty. The screen is the size of a condo screening room. The Audio only gets loud. No low end (bass) at all. The only plus is they screen Kannada movies.

Cozy screening theatres. Convenient location near many pubs and cafes, just off the lakefront promenade.

Worst theatre experience ever. Can’t even call it as a theatre. A really small screen like a projector screen with around 9 rows of seats where each row has approximately 8 seats. The worst part is, we can’t even select seats online. No matter you reached there earlier, whoever rushes into that small space can pick any seats. The owners might did it purposely to get every seats filled otherwise no one is going to book seats in first 5 rows which makes the theatre only half filled. The entire theatre is perfect for max 3,4 family or group. Travelled 50 Kms and spend 17 dollars for a seat. Never ever gonna come back again.

Seats are old but priced well if you don't mind esthetics. Can hear loud sounds from other showing room.

It's one of the best movie experience I had in a while. It's affordable, less crowded and clean. It's small, but that's the kind of comfort you sometimes need

I love to take my LO here mostly because the rooms sizes, I think the only two things I would change are that the bathrooms are not clean, and the staff not so friendly.

Sound from the movie is very high for such a small place.it could be better.missed the clarity in the sound lot of times.other than that it's decent experience

Screenings for ethnic movies, small screen format, great experience. Clean theatre and premises, seating can be a little firm.

It's a nice coz theatre! But wasn't cleaned up after the show.when we went in floor was stick and wrappers and food every where.so kinda disappointing! Other than that.it was a good experience!

Unfortunately, not a 5-star experience this time, which it has been in the past. First, they dinged my Visa card twice for the exact same online purchase of 3 tickets. It was actually my bank that alerted me and when I called theatre directly to sort it out, they said I'd have to come down with my credit card statement? !? Good news is Visa handled it for me but this left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. Great prices, excellent selection of snacks too! BUT, COVID-19 protocols were REALLY LAX - in fact a member of our group didn't even stay to watch movie because of that.so many unmasked (including improperly masked) children crowded into lobby and running around.literally felt swarmed by a mob while lined-up waiting to enter our theatre. We'll wait until a LOT more time has passed with the children's version of vaccine before going back.

This theatre is such a fabulous find! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. With it being a smaller theatre, you avoid the big lines and hectic environment. To top it off, prices are very reasonable.

I absolutely love this small theater. The popcorn is better than VIP Cinemas. Most of the time if you go to an early show you will have the theatre to yourself. Parking is best off Locus street. Great place, I hope it never shuts down. Has that 1950's feel.

Great place to watch movies. Intimate theaters but Great sound, seats (lift up arm) and projector quality. I saw a movie last week at a cineplex and cinestarz was better. Really fir so many reasons. Also not a lot of people go so we has the whole theater to ourselves. Evan at the front counter was great. 5 stars!

This place is such a gem. Small - but I expected that. Very good pricing for the experience. The theaters are smaller, more intimate but you still get a good big screen movie experience. When I did go there it wasn't packed. The only con is that they don't serve hot foods, just quick snacks like popcorn, nachos, candy.

Clean and reasonably priced. What else could you ask for? Small old school theater, but obviously renewed recently.

This place is fantastic. Best prices around for a movie. $6 admission, and on cheap Tuesdays it’s $4! When I came here with my family during Christmas we had a blast. It’s small, cozy and quiet. The theatres themselves are small, and the screens are on the smaller side too. For that price though, it’s a great experience.

A good place to go to see a newer movie you may have missed in the larger theatres (or if you weren't sure it would be worth the full ticket price). The concession stand popcorn and drinks tasted nice and fresh, and the seats were quite comfortable. I do wish the walls were a bit more soundproof, but it's not a big deal.

Had my 3 grandgirls for the day/night and they wanted me to see Frozen 2. I new it would still be playing at this little venue which is a hidden treasure. Small theatres but perfect for families. Biggest bonus is the price. 5$ per person and get this, a super large popcorn (small bags given to divide it up) and a pkg of regular size red licorice (unanimous decision) 8.70$$$ Yes, a very large popcorn and a treat for under 10$. Oh, and parking out back was free. I had the kids do the math for the 'other' theaters and they kept saying, wow! We will be back!

This is cinema at its best: small, intimate screens, cheap tickets, movies that just came out of the big multi-plexes. It is my favourite theatre by a far mile. Staff is courteous, popcorn is great, bathrooms and rooms are cleaned. Super cozy. If anything, sometimes, depending on the movie, the sound is a bit too low (especially if there is an action movie going on in the next room).
Best of all: no ads! Who needs 2 trucks ads while waiting for a movie, really?
I’ll keep coming back as much as I can.

Holy small but great for my 4yr old grandson n 4yr old nephew and cheap really enjoy ourselves everytime we go

Love this place. Very community based location. Traditional feel theatres.cant say enough. A great throwback environment. Take the kids to experience something you remember from your childhood. Also much more affordable than the big chains.

It's a nice place to roam in Burlington, as well as to see a movie in cine Starz, important thing to keep in mind, be prepared for long distance parking. If you are lucky enough u will get the parking spot easily near cine starzz

Love this place. Can't beat the price. Glad another business reopened it. Been going to this place since I was 5. The renovtions look great. The staff are friendly. The popcorn and drinks are cheaper than other places.

Small and simple theatre, perfect to avoid crazy crowds and just enjoy a flick. My four year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

$5 movies. Smaller theaters that make you feel homey and give you a sense of something special. It's great that this place is still a staple of downtown Burlington and caters to old and new.

Movies playing here have run their course at the big chains. Ticket prices are excellent and concession prices are better than the big boys. Theatres are well kept. On the smaller side but the screen is plenty big. If you don't need to see a movie when it comes out or if you didn't get a chance to see the movie.this is a great alternative.

I love this movie theatre. The prices are not inflated and although it is very small and the theatres have few seats it is still comfortable and the same experience you would receive at any other larger theatre. I will continue to return here in future when there is a movie I want to see and don’t want to pay double the price to see it

This place has been around, in one guise or another, for many years. Movies have just been pulled from main stream theatres, only $5, basic snack bar fare at good prices. A bit dated, and temp is an issue (as pointed out), but small town feel and ambiance. A nice alternative to the big name theatres, check it out!

Good theatre very clean. Can't beat 5 bucks for a matinee. However couldn't go into theater until the very last minute due to tight schedule of films and they left the lights on for far too long into the film. Also they need better insulation between cinemas as I could hear the film next door clearly.

Low cost snacks, low cost movie. The theatre itself is very cozy and gives a bit of an at home feel. They show movies later so if you didn't see them at Cineplex you come here.

Great place for a private movie. If you missed it in the big theater, you can watch it here. Always very clean and friendly staff. Only thing I didn't care for was the old popcorn mixed with new popcorn and fountain pop was flat. I would definitely go back especially for cozy date nights.

My husband and I didn’t even know this theater existed. We were pleasantly surprised. The concession stand staff are very friendly. It’s really nice to be able to go to see a movie for five dollars. The theaters are a little small but we were able to see/hear just fine. We will definitely go again. Highly recommend this place.

I would like to say my 6 year old and I enjoyed our experience, however we purcahaed tickets for a childrens movie, we were told whoch theatre to go into and that corresponded with the tickets we were given. There are no signs outside the entrance indicating which movie is playing in which theatre - just a theatre number. We were a few minutes late so snuck into the theatre and sat down and within a minute quickly realized this was not the movie we came to see and the content was extremely inappropriate for a 6 year old. Brutal. I came out and told the staff who literally froze like deer in headlights and said absolutely nothing. Get it together people. I like this small little theatre but that is inexcusable. Not sure i would go back if they dont know what movie is on what screen.

Great little movie theatre in downtown Burlington easy access to parking which is free on evenings and weekends. Each theatre is small and intimate. The seats are comfortable. The tickets are very cheap. Service at the concession stand is efficient and helpful. A great movie experience!

Nice little theater at much lower prices. Not the biggest and best but decent value and still feel like you went to the movies. Great way to save some $$ and see a good movie

Love that this exists for movies that are a few months old. Nice intimate environment, though the facilities are dated. Be warned: the film we saw here had some parts of the picture cut off (e.g. The very top and bottom edges). Still, it's a friendly environment and I'm sure we'd return, all things considered. Great location downtown to boot. Lots of restaurants and coffee or ice cream shops nearby.

Cute place to go for movies that have been out a while. Cheaper tickets than bigger theaters and much less busy

Little theater with a big heart. Helpful and courteous staff. Saw Dumbo the little plucky elephant. Very moving and realistic. Made with heart. Recommending this gem of theater.

Great value with their $5 movies.just wish they would serve popcorn in cardboard so that the rattling paper popcorn bags are not so disturbing in the small theaters.
