Cineplex Cinemas

No one available at box office and had to use automated. We don't go to movies often and had difficulty working the machine. Then, my wife's Scene points didn't work so we were forced to pay for an admission. (maybe corrected if there was a human to assist? My points worked luckily but only had enough to get one admission). This was a Sunday evening and NOT busy. Even the person taking our ticket agreed self- box office isn't worth it. Good thing we showed 20 minutes early as we JUST got to our seats.

Staff here is amazing! We hosted a private event and it was fantastic. Everybody was helpful and the facility is great!

Went here with a few friends to see godzilla minus one.
The staff were friendly and quick. And the theater was clean and well lit.

Didn't have any staff standing around making people feel like they should rush to leave.
Was a good experience overall.

Also got a collectible Coke cup and a tree ornament of one of those popcorn characters.

Clean, but the seats are unbelievably uncomfortable. There is no way you can watch a movie sitting upright. Reclining is the only option. The seat base is just wobbly and makes it even more uncomfortable. Whoever designed or selected these chairs should be fired. It’s not a freaking planetarium to watch the whole movie in a full reclined position looking up. Seriously.

I went back after 2 years, still a nice place, the employees are very helpful, everything is very clean and well maintained.

Customer service was great!:) however i would request more staff coming in and checking on movies that have a likely hood of pre-teens coming because i bought 2 tickets for five nights at freddie’s 1: 50 pm nov 4th and during the whole entire movie they were screaming, yelling and laughing loudly.

Pretty small cinema, but quite comfy seating and very nice atmosphere. I would come again given the chance!

Been coming to these theatres for a long long time. The service and staff attitude was Marvelous. I only couldn’t understand why the seats of many theatres were creaking. Wasn’t just mine, but most seats were either wobbly or making noise if moved even slightly.it made watching the movie troublesome.

Not gonna stop coming here or anything but I believe that repairs are in order.

PS: had the cleanest bathrooms I’ve seen in theatres.

Great seats. The entire place smells moldy and old even in the entrance. Bathroom actually has dust on the tile walls. Some staff were harassing some older people to move and that was distracting for the first 15 minutes. Not sure what the problem was.

Very good theater very clean comfortable seating. Friendly knowledgeable staff.
I recently went to see the Elvis movie I would give that one five stars too. Or because it's Elvis Presley we'll have to give him five lightning bolts

Went to see Top Gun at the Burlingtin Cineplex and the concession line up was insane. It was backed up to the last theater. No popcorn for today's movie. I will bring my own snacks the next time.

Adequate theater, the screens are a bit on the smaller side for a Silvercity, not a lot of options for food here compared to some other locations, and curiously a lot of the ticket booths didn't work very well. But overall, acceptable and the place was at least relatively clean.

Great to be in a theater again. Guess we'll just need to wait for the frozen yogurt to be open again.

Went to go see Morbius.one of the employees laughed at me when I bought tickets.proceeded to ask me to "morb them up"

I am an easy going customer I always make it easy with my purchases because I understand and have been in customer service for 20 years i go to many cineplex theaters all over ontario for a long time and this was by far my worst experience ever i am still shaken by how me and my group with me were treated with the exception of one great employee at concessions special shoutout to them they were great everyone else was working angry and targeted customers by making them feel not welcomed they would even stare you down as you make purchases even before the movie and you leave movie its okay to not smile I get it your busy and have lots to do but don't give cold stares and talk in a tone that ruins peoples day even just basic verbatim would have been more then okay
We each spent a total of $150 for our group because we love cineplex and movies but we were left with not being able to concentrate on the movie our food and our drive home wasn't a great feeling we almost never type up complaints because we understand how important work is but this was extreme and traumatizing

I took my 12 year old son to see Spiderman on the Friday before March break and there were 6 people in the theatre including us!

No social distancing issues there:)

The movie was great as was the sound and picture quality.

I almost want to reduce my rating by one star just in protest of the ridiculous prices for popcorn and soft drinks! This has been an issue since I was a child which was a long time ago!

Well thank you for making my daughter cry because we drove from niagara only to have to turn back because they only accept QR codes and not her government issued proof of her 2ND vaccine. We then tried to go on the government site and had to wait so we could add the information of her Health card and failed everytime because of the government site overload, we tried 3 times! They would not accept her information because they couldn't read a piece of paper and rely on technology to scan a QR code which by the way had issues scanning our own. We went to another theater and they were wonderful and accepting and not treated like an outcast! Won't ever go to back to this theater ever again, poor service!

Went to see Spiderman no way home and movie was amazing! Used my scence points to purchase popcorn which was great as food can be super expensive! Having to show QR code and ID to enter movies is crazy but as it is required we did and this process is quick and easy. We purchased our tickets online so we didn't waste anytime. I do like how you can pick your seats online ahead of time and see how busy the theater will be. The staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clean as well and bathrooms aren't bad.

I went to the movies about 2weeks ago it was good not alot of people in the theater movie was awesome.and you were aloud to buy popcorn and Coke or nachos with cheese, where before you were not allowed to buy it

Great place to watch a movie.
Strict covid rules.
Very clean theaters.

The only fault I saw, was that the people cleaning the seats (disinfecting). They had a chart as to where one was supposedly sat and that seat was cleaned. We'll, in cases like Saturday night where only 8 people showed up.some decided to move around and chose a better seat.so now those seats stayed with germs for the next person.

Atmosphere:
Tried 3 rooms all cold.maybe in purpose to buy the Cinaplex blanket they are selling.
Low options of movies

Intelegance:
1-No food allowed inside room!
Why sell them in the first place?

2-staff ask for physical ID card although a soft/digital copy is legally accepted when showing the QR vaccine code

Customer service:
Attend Encanto when was first released the speakers had buzz sound all the time they kept saying they trying to fix it.they gave us free tickets.tickets are horrible not easy to redeem. You have to go physically there to redeem it

Arcades:
half of them are not working.they added different car racing machine few days ago.but again still have machines are broken.
They used the token system and yet they ask for toonies and loonies for the claw machine.

NEED IMPROVEMENT

It's an old theater for sure. There is no distancing in the seating whatsoever I had ppl right next to me on both sides. Heads up.

If I could give this place a -1 out of 5 stars I would. Making us eat popcorn outside is probably the dumbest thing I’ve heard.
Also the staff is extremely ignorant.

Updated: came during 4th wave restrictions. Limited to 100/cinema however there's no social distancing imposed. Most people bunch up middle rows, upper levels. Need modification to online seat selection to accommodate this. Masks are supposed to be kept on all times but some pull them down once lights are turned off. Staff do come in prior to movie start to check and advise patrons to keep them on.

Like coming here: conveniently close. Just wish on busy nights that there's more staff helping folks how to use automated ticket purchasing machines. It appears there's a learning curve for for some.

We were the only ones in the theatre which was so much fun, felt safe and they always have good options

This theater is the best. The other cinema in Burlington seems to pull in more customers so I find this one is less busy which I prefer when going to the movies. Not a fan of big crowds. Also they seem to have the movies that not many other theaters in the area play.

What happened to this place? They’ve cut staff way back lately. Big push to use the machines for purchasing of tickets. Not nearly enough people on the snack bar, be prepared to wait. Get there early enough so you don’t miss the beginning of your movie. Prices are crazy at snack bar but that’s to be expected. Seats are comfy, theatres are big and spacious.

You can find not only movies but also amazing events in this cinema. Staged concert of Broadway musicals, Metropoliton's live operas, Andre Rieu's concerts and so on. I highly recommend to visit the web page for events to meet wonderful performances of great artists.

Good theater, self serve ticket machines and people selling tickets, no moving seats but they do recline, parking is a little bit of a pain, overall pretty good

The movie was good but this place is never clean. The popcorn on the floor inside the concession booth is gross. It looks like they have just given up on it.

If you are okay with below average service. Below average video quality and poor sound quality. This is your place. But if I'm paying a hundred dollars to take the kids out. I expect more.

When I went to this theater it was very clean inside, the people who work there were very nice and helpful. Lots of parking spaces available, it's on a bus route if you don't drive. They have abt 12 movie rooms. The seats are comfortable with drink holders. They have lots of different food options to choose from and the are some restaurants/coffee places near by. If you haven't been you should. Prices are ok, but if you go Tuesday night it's cheaper than other days. They do get busy with big line ups sometimes especially if the movie came out that night. So give yourself extra time or use the machines they have available to get tickets.

Took my friend out to a movie after a disappointing dinner elsewhere and thought I would grab some theater food while watching the movie, food was about on par for pricing of the fancy restaurant.ah well. Theater staff were nice and the theater was clean though so bonus points for that!

I don't live in the area anymore, so I haven't visited this theatre in at least a year. I mean it's a Cineplex, so you know what you're getting. Again like a previous posting, I will be specifically calling the manager, because I have two names to shout out, Ainslee the Ast Mgr, and Allison R. They helped me over a mistake I made. So I really do appreciate them.

A good place to go watch a movie, the general area is usally not littered like every other movie theatre, customer service is good too. I would recommend if you are going to go watch a movie with family or friends

This is a very convenient location very close to Queen Elizabeth Way highway in the mid point between Toronto and Niagara falls with ample parking space and a lot of restaurants of different choices

The arcade area is a bit miserable, but I don't have any qualms about the theater itself. It is kept very clean and there are a variety of movies and showtimes to choose from. The popcorn isn't anything special, but it has enough flavor as a movie snack. Be sure to add plenty of butter.

My one real complaint would be that the movie volume is significantly louder than other theaters, but perhaps that would be a bonus to some people.

Clean, lot of selections. The cosessions where fresh and the staff were very friendly. While playing air hockey the puck got stuck and an employee gave us tokens for a new fame and a second one. Quite pleased with the service. One thing.the nacho cheese could be kept warmer, everything else was a great experince for my lady and myself.

I love taking my family to the movies but refuse to use any self check machines. I recently went to this location and not one single employee was there to let me purchase my tickets. *Note to owners: Give your customers an option, employee VS machine and you won't lose any business.

Cinemas are very good. Some films need to be enjoyed on the big screen. Only didgust; the cost at the snack bar. Typically saying 'we have you here and we are going to gouge you for everything we can. '

Seats are not as comfortable as some theatres.concessions are expensive but that’s the same throughout all theatres. It’s easy to spend more on food than on the movie tickets. Nice theatre though

Why does it cost $80 for me and my girlfriend to see amovie with popcorn and a drink. Popcorn is $2 and pop is $1. The mark up is the reason I go to the drive in

First the cost of the ticket, then if you want popcorn and a drink is beyond a normal price to charge, no wonder people watch movies at home. The NOISE in the theatre is disgusting, several children watching a movie and the level of the movie on children's ears is terrible. SHAME ON YOU. The manager tells me, that the production teams asks that the level of sound be loud, and we could bring earphones if we choose. To get into the place was a. 15 minute wait as the doors were locked.

Very well maintained place with courtious staff Movies played here are always very diverse in terms of people's choice, that's good for different age group to enjoy, specially younger audience. Ample parking space, rates are slightly lower than neighborhood city. Located within choice of good restaurants.

You can drink beer in the theatres in canada? What? USA doesn't have this luxury! I was impressed with the staff, the manager that I did speak with just by chance, the cleanliness and overall atmosphere.and captain marvel is just a absolutely terrible actress but that's not the theatres fault!

Movie theatre number 12 arrived for the late flick place was very dirty it looked like nobody clean the place not to mention some seats were very sticky of pop or something

Quaint little theatre. The staff was amazing. We went here to watch Vice about a month and a half after it's been released. We were had some food and drinks with us, so instead of throwing it out, we decided to hang out at the arcade for a bit to finish before going inside. I had asked the ticketing associate whether it was full, do we have time, etc.and he said we'd be fine. 15 minutes later, while we were dunking some mad arcade hoops, he came to remind us, it might get a bit full, and to go in soon-ish.

What a champion. Literally took the effort to not only remember, but to remind us. 10/10 give this guy a raise.

The screen and audio in the theatre was really good.aside from poor design of the reclining seats, and tight spacing. For someone 6' or taller, it leaves very little to no clearance room between your knees and the reclining seat in front of you.as they're constantly bashed by the back of it throughout the movie.makes for nothing short of an unpleasant and annoying experience.

This is my main place to go see movies.

Great sized theatres, fairly clean for the most part and staff is helpful and pleasant.

It's mildly expensive but it's a good time out.

I'd recommend using a Scene card if you're a frequent movie goer, you save a couple dollars here and there.

When open excellent service great seating but unfortunately no movies for matinees in week only evenings unless holiday times for children.very upsetting for seniors in Burlington as there are many who go and want to go but will not drive in evening so have nowhere to go during week

Good place to watch movies. A basic cineplex - no IMAX or specialty seating setups. Nothing wrong with that, no chance to get temped to pay more for a movie than you have to. The only upsell is the dreaded blatant money grab, "reserve seating" option - which opinion on which I will keep to my self.

Last few times I've gone Ive payed for layered popcorn and both times they put just a little bit of butter on top. Feel kind of ripped off paying the up charge and not receiving what I paid for.

Not so friendly staff or management, would not give me a discount for special needs individuals (as other movie theaters have) Other than that it was same as other movie theaters.

I love movies. LOVE THEM! I like Silvercity Burlington because it is conveniently located very close to my house. Staff is great, always willing to help. My complain is more general to Cineplex: Ads before movies are EXTREMELY loud! I lot louder than movies, there is no need for that. And there are also way too many ads before actual trailers, I know movie theaters need sponsors, but we are already paying for the ticket and concession, I don't need to see 3 different car/trucks ads before enjoying a movie.

Werewolves were literally everywhere. I mean not real werewolves but hypothetical ones. So maybe not even hypothetical ones you know what I'm talking about.

Enjoyable but you can not be sure of the volume levels. When we watched the film Aquaman, the sound was so loud that my ears were ringing when we left.

Popcorn is garbage now. They used to serve fresh popcorn. Now it's all in pre-shoveled into bags and they sit there all day going stale. The prices are outrageous. And now they charge us for a squirt of butter. Never coming back. Biggest ripoff.
