Cineplex Cinemas Ancaster

Recently I experienced an issue with on-line ticket purchasing. I spoke to Jen at the Cineplex upon arrival. The situation was resolved completely. We purchased our snacks and "enjoyed the show". Thank you Jen.

It's a good place, but people should stay silent and keep the phone away while watching a movie.

Great to be in the theatre for a movie and experiencing "Gaurdians of the Galaxy" in 3D. Fun spot and booked ticket online. Super easy and nice night

As we stood in line waiting to buy popcorn there were 5 staff members standing around talking with each other and only one person working the concession stand. Very frustrating to watch and experience as a customer. I will not be returning to this location.

Good. But they should remove the idea of people eating in the theater. How is it that I'm watching an imax movie yet still distracted by some Ahole chewing and crunching popcorn or chips. Can't stand it. Some people have no curiosity for others. I'm there to watch a film. Not listen to someone in front of me or behind me eating their dinner.

Oh, where do I begin with my disappointment at the recent movie theater experience? It's rare to come across a film that manages to hit rock bottom in every aspect, but this particular cinematic disaster certainly achieved that dubious feat. From start to finish, my visit to this theater was nothing short of a nightmare.

Let's start with the seating. The chairs were as uncomfortable as sitting on a bed of nails. I couldn't help but squirm in agony throughout the entire film, desperately trying to find a position that didn't leave me with aching bones. It felt like they had taken old, dilapidated seats from a retirement home and repurposed them for this theater. The lack of basic comfort completely ruined any chance of enjoying the movie.

But even if the chairs were tolerable, the terrible sound system would have made it impossible to understand a word of dialogue. It was a symphony of distorted audio and ear-piercing feedback. It was as if the projectionist had decided to turn the volume up to the maximum and then promptly disappeared. I found myself straining to catch any semblance of coherent conversation amidst the overwhelming cacophony. Good luck deciphering the plot or immersing yourself in the story when all you can hear is a wall of indistinguishable noise.

Let's not forget the exorbitant prices for tickets and concessions. Paying a small fortune for a subpar movie experience feels like adding insult to injury. The theater seemed more interested in squeezing every penny out of its customers than in providing a quality experience. The stale popcorn and watered-down sodas were the icing on the cake, completing the utterly underwhelming experience.

In conclusion, this movie theater failed spectacularly in every conceivable way. From the uncomfortable seating to the abysmal sound quality, and not to mention the nonsensical plot and overpriced concessions, this theater delivered an experience that I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. Save your time and hard-earned money, and seek out a different theater that actually cares about delivering a memorable cinematic experience. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

The seats in this theatre are back breaking.
They are old and do not recline even the slightest, the foam in the seats is so broken down that I hat to sit forward so that the metal bar on the lower part of the seat didn't dig into my back. Time to renovate!
I'll just go to landmark and sit in a comfy recliner!

Was so excited to see Mission Impossible after we celebrated my friend’s birthday, but we arrived a little late at 10: 45 pm when the movie starts at 10: 30 pm. I have been to this theatre for many years and know for a fact the movie doesn’t start until at least 15 mins has passed. They locked the doors and wouldn’t let us in even though we stood there for 10 mins trying to get their attention through the glass windows. The workers could literally see us and did nothing nor gestured anything. Why can’t you lock the doors at 11 pm and give some grace time? It’s not like all the workers have to go home right away, there’s a movie going on for the next 2 hours. Ruined our night.

I wasn’t sure if I could muster up the strength to write this review after learning the diabolical things the employees of this theatre did to my cherished comrades, but I decided that this was necessary. On the night of July 11,2023, at precisely 10: 45 pm, my friends showed up to the theatre to watch that Hollywood Scientology guy jump off planes and save the world from some random crazy bomb thingy…BUT THEY WERE DENIED ENTRY. This not only constitutes discrimination of all sorts, but is straight up a violation of human rights. I say this because my friends are humans and they have rights, and those rights were violated. They paid for the tickets with their own hard earned money, and what did they get in return? A slap to the face (not literally) is what they got! I should also mention that one of the friends that was turned away is the CEO of Amazon, so I hope you guys understand who you’ve messed with (good luck getting your packages on time dum dums). I may have not been there personally, but I can argue that this has affected me more than anyone, I am the true victim here. I have lost faith in Silvercity, movies in general, and mankind as a whole: (

All of my previous experiences with this location have been sublime which is why I’m not pleased with having to provide a one star review. It was my friend’s birthday yesterday night and we wanted to watch the new Mission Impossible movie which was scheduled to air at 10: 30. We made it to the theatres at 10: 45 and were introduced to a locked door. The staff watched us and didn’t bother to let us in which I’m shocked as this has never happened before and it is quite disappointing that we couldn’t watch a 2 hour movie that doesn’t even start until 10: 45 anyways with all the trailers and such. *thumbs down*

I prefer Tuesdays because of Cineplex special prices. My kids and I watched The Little Mermaid after school. Of course, my kids wanted the popcorn which they said was yummy. Friendly staff and good seating. Definitely going again!

Besides the fact they sold me 4 designated seat tickets and then 10 minutes later 5 other people came im and had been sold the exact same seat tickets.food is completely insane pricing.and no nachos.the girl at the food counter could not have cared any less that there was an issue with the seating.wasn't the best experience for the first day of kids summer holidays thats fir sure and I was annoyed at the lack of customer service with the seating!

This is actually a 0 star but I didn’t have the option.
When speaking with the manager Roy o about an issue we had with a machine taking our money without giving us what we paid for…and all he could say for himself was after he got frustrated was “why are you looking at me like that? ” Very childish and lacking of any service skills. All of the staff are a reflection of the awful management. Poor leadership and in need of new staff, I will not be back and neither will any of my friends if that thumb with a moustache is still employed.

Terrible service at the food stands. Disorganized staff poor leadership. Would never plan to have food there again if I go to see a movie.

Overpriced everything, disorganized food and drink system and it was SUPER dirty. Bathrooms were DISGUSTING

There wasn't much action with the seats.pretty expensive for a movie that doesn't really use the action stuff with the seats

I love this place. Great popcorn. The staff have seemed a little off lately but most of them are great.
