Cineplex Cinemas Empress Walk

Yorkdale cinemas.awesome but they pulled Tim Hortons out of the cinema. They have avx here too. Good for people watching on the 1st floor too

My first time visiting there.
They served too slowly and missed my orders many times.when I ordered something, it took almost 5 mins to be served all the time.
I was starving there even I was at an "all you can eat" restaurant.
Paid $98 for two person.
Never satisfied with their service.
Very disappointed.
Never come back there again.
I won't recommend this place! There are a lot of bbq restaurants much better than this place.

This theatre is often empty which is amazing if you want to watch a movie with fewer people but in terms of sanitation, the seats in the theatres aren't very clean.

Love this theatre. Never too many people. Great seats. Friendly staff. Mindbogglingly high prices on concessions, no different from other theatres in that regard. There are other food options too. Great atmosphere, very good video games section for kids. A couple of party rooms, though I have never actually used them so I am not sure how well they do in that regard. The overall look of the theatre is pretty great. Highly recommend. The mall has a lot of amenities too.

Well located cinema showing a variety of blockbuster and small films in the one location. Cinema itself was clean and in great condition. Great range of snacks and drinks and staff are very friendly and helpful.

This location is a favorite for me. The location staff is friendly. They have IMAX. They play many foriegn films you won't find at other theaters. Unfortunately until Cineplex restores Combo 5 with 1000 points credit, I can't endorse the conduct of Cineplex removal of most of their staff in favor of automation and kiosks simply because they don't want to pay minimum wages. Cineplex has become very greedy without investing back into better service. It just means I spend less.

Decent theatre, but any screen that isn't the IMAX is poorly maintained. Speakers pop constantly, seats are wearing thing and sticky.

The whole mall is pretty cool to look through. The ticket machines are easy to use, although mine seemed to have a print malfunction. Staff quickly fixed the problem though. Lots of lanes for the concession stand. After they play the last movie, they turn off the arcade games.

My favorite theater in whole GTA.
Its unique in it's own way.
Has very large auditoriums with great audio quality.
Great seats, always clean.
Free underground parking is a big big Bonus in winter.

This is going to be a review of this specific Cineplex, not Cineplex as a company. In my opinion, this location is tops. This isn’t the biggest Cineplex (there are only 10 theatres), but it does have IMAX, party rooms, and a little arcade overlooking Yonge street. What is amazing about this location is that it is rarely super busy. You can actually go see a movie on an opening night and not worry about getting a seat. This alone makes it number one in my eyes. The theatre itself is also pretty neat. There is a huge escalator that will take you to the theatre and big windows you can eat by and look out at Yonge street and Mel Lastman Square.

Nice place to go to see a movie. As long as u don't have to eat or drink there. One drink or any drink is over 5 bucks. Even a pop. Forget if u have to eat. Better to eat your shoe than to pay for anything there.

Convenient and clean, good experience as always. Just upstairs of North York Centre subway and underground parking.

Seats are not good and comfortable but sound quality and picture quality bis good. Scarborough town center cineplex is far more better than this

Good accessible movie theater in the residential area.
The sound is great.
Just need some more cleaning and totally in the washrooms

Awful website management toy story 4 Showtime Tuesday July 2nd is 10: 30 pm but the website shows 9: 45. We didn't finish big brother and rushed our meal in the restaurant to get here on tome but what? Website is wrong! Shame on you people. You are paid to waste out time

Nice customer service. We had a problem with our tickets and got exchangeable coupons instead. Good to know you are valued as a customer.

Went to see Spider-man on Saturday with my wife. The theatre was pretty empty and 20 minutes in some guy came in with his kid. They sat off to one side and every once in a while I would hear odd sounds coming from there section. About an hour in I see the kid bolting for the door. I figure he is going to the wash room but he never returns.

15 minutes after that I hear the sound of liquid being poorer onto the floor. I don’t know if the guys has split his drink, is being sick, or what.

Either way it is weirding me out enough that I exit the theatre and ask that someone check on this guy. A few minutes later one of the “managers” comes in spends about 1.5 seconds assessing the situation, determines all is well and leaves. 20 minutes after that the guy who is clearly sh*t faced drunk is flat on his face on the ground right beside me.

Thanks a million for completely ruining our evening Cineplex. Your “managers” knack for being utterly useless is without equal.

I can't remember what this place called before it was bought by Cineplex but I miss what it used to be. Food as any theaters are expensive.
Good Movie theater.

Not too busy, It's cleaner than most of the other Cineplexes I've been to (including their washrooms), friendly staff, and good selection of films and showtimes to choose from.

A little bit out dated. Last time there was no staff to sell the tickets in the boost. We needed to go to the snack shop to be able to buy the tickets. It took a while to figure it out, there was no sign.

Nice large theaters, this is the best cinema to come to when new movies come out because you are guaranteed a good spot if you come within 30 minutes of the start time of your movie. Got unlucky while watching Annabelle last weekend when a group of high schoolers who we told several times to shut up would not stop talking. I had to go get the manager but unfortunately she could not locate the teens as they saw me going to get her and dispersed.

Just watched Godzilla king of the monsters on IMAX, but it was just a regular movie with black bars on the top and bottom of the screen for the entire movie. I watch the majority of my movies in IMAX and this wasn't it. Didn't get the extra vertical height of content. They just slapped a regular movie onto an IMAX auditorium and charge extra.

I don't expect it free, but i expect to return it and charge me the price of regular tickets because that is what they delivered. When i talked to the manager he said he can't do anything about it, too bad. He said the resolution and sound should be a little better. Got completely scammed for this.

Super accessible, always clean and regular movies, quite a nice place over all. Concessions stand is big, with lots of pay stations. Kids party area is ok, but the game zone is nice. Remember to validate your parking ticket before you get to the parking garage!
