Cineplex VIP Cinemas Don Mills

This is the best VIP theater. I've been to many but have the beat experince here, every time. You can grab a drink or food upstairs in the lounge or outdoor patio (for the outdoor patio, you don't need a movie ticket). Food and drinks have improved over the years! In seat service is always the best option, bathrooms are very clean. I also like that a few of their theaters here have full recliners. I feel like if I go to a VIP movie, I only want the recliners. Easy to find parking at the covered garage which is a short walk away.

Bathrooms were dirty and smelly before and after the show. Really not impressed by that considering the price point for the VIP theatre and the food. The VIP experience with food brought to you was nice but the recliner seats were not as comfortable as other VIP theatres I have been to. Also while watching our movie at some point we could hear the movie playing in the nearby room - not great soundproofing. Overall not impressed especially considering the area this theatre is located in, I’d have expected better.

9/9/2023- Landmark Cinemas have really spoiled it for Cineplex. Have been going there more and more over the last couple years. Recliner seats are a standard in all their movie theatres except Imax. Plus the smaller theatre size makes it for a more comfortable, relaxing movie going experience. The only negative is that there isn't as many locations as Cineplex.

Nice, comfortable more intimate setting, the theatres are smaller but more comfortable seating and you can actually order from your seat and have it brought to you up until the movie starts. Cool lounge area where you can chill out before a movie or just chill out in general. A bit pricey though thats the major draw back.

Theatre is good and the food is good however the brownie dessert they have is way too less portion for what your paying for. Notice some things that they need to improve.

*washroom is always dirty and smell pee all the time sometimes they don’t have tissue as well

*the people who work on the entrance or the people who scanning ticket is always on phone

*popcorn section always so many people but no one is approaching us if we want to buy something

*some of the concession employee and some employee at the scanning ticket smell so bad, they should be presentable to customers

*some in seat server people smell bad that i don’t want to order food because of body odour it’s disgusting.

Therefore overall experience at the theatre is 10/10 and food 10/10
The asian manager is really professional and approachable when we complain about the dessert and refund our money 10/10

I've been here a handful of times and never had a bad experience. Clean washrooms, clean theatre and friendly staff. The seats are leather and quite creeky to pull the seat back slightly; they do not have the recliner feature. Compared to the seats at VIP Yonge and Eglinton, these ones are not as comfy and are more narrow. The movie screen isn't very large close to the back row.

Definitely feels like it's gone up in price; went in July 2023 and for 2 people VIP tickets and 2 alcoholic drinks (no food or snacks), it came to about $85.

Really nice place! I always come if I have coupons since the vip is more expensive than a normal ticket. The seats are comfortable and the in house service is pretty cool. Just get there kind of early so you can get your snacks.
Have a bar on the upper floor that's really nice, but never lively

It gets 4 stars for the theater and the facilities. Theaters are all good. No complaints there. The washrooms are usually a mess. May have been the nights I've come, your experience may differ. This location loses stars because of the restaurant side of things. After seating ourselves in the restaurant, which was a surprise to do, my significant other and I waited and watched several servers all on their phones at the bar for about 10 minutes. They all saw us. They all walked by. Eventually our server came with menus, but the show starts soon and I can't eat and enjoy my meal. Now I'm not a restauranteur, but if you see a table not being served, wouldn't you go over anyways? I get the cutthroat mentality of, "not my section not my problem" but sheez, cover your coworkers. Theater side good. Restaurant side? I'd rather go to pizza pizza across the street. Aaaaaaaaaaand another table that was waiting for servers, asked us for our menus and walked over to the bar to get drinks. Note to management; get better servers.

Friendly servers, great reclined seats, and overall just a pleasant experience. Everything you want and expect from Cineplex.

Probably the smallest VIP Cineplex theatres in Toronto! That's not a bad thing! They only have a few theatres and show roughly two movies but that's all they need! The staff are very speedy and friendly and the place is always clean. The bathrooms are private jut they fill up quickly, especially after a showing. Located in Shops at Don Mills so there is free parking in the parkade which is very close to the cinemas.

As expected. But few upgrade need to be made regarding the services ie.service push butoon. Miss placing the order and food was cold. After the movie starts it just feels like regular 3d movie experience and no DBOX just heads up!
But over all it was OK time there. Thers always room for improvement.

I love this location. It’s nice to walk around the stores there before seeing a movie. The theatre itself is clean and very upscale for a theatre.

I went to this VIP theatre this past Sunday, and I’ve got to say. My experience was pretty terrible, and I’ll probably never order food apart from popcorn, ever again!

My partner and I, walked into the theatre right at 10: 15 when our movie was due to start. A waiter followed us to our seat and took our order. I ordered Mac N Cheese and my partner ordered the boneless chicken wings, with sauce on the side. Our order came about 15 minutes later. Both plates were steaming hot, so we anticipated that we’d be eating fresh food, boy were we mistaken!
I took a bite of my Mac, and it was cold, liquidy and looked nothing like the picture.
My partner took a bite of his boneless wings, that was dripping in sauce btw, and it was cold as well. The only thing that looked good enough to eat was the side salad that was on the plate next to the wings! My partner was not happy at all, so I offered to go to the kitchen and request it fresh.

I walked upstairs and there was no one in sight, understandable since the theatre was basically closed. I called out from the counter a few times till someone came out, when a man came out I informed him about the cold wings and asked if it could be remade, without the sauce. He agreed and stated it would be brought to my seat.
I returned to my seat, after missing 10 minutes of the beginning of Captain Marvel, what an inconvienience!

A waiter brought the wings 20 minutes into the movie, this time the wings had no sauce like we asked, but the salad wasn’t there.
I asked the waiter where the salad was, and he said “You actually didn’t order a salad, we gave you the wrong order. ” I then said, “Okay, well would it be possible to get salad back, since you brought it with the wings in the first place. Had we known, we would of kept it. ” The waiter literally shrugged and made a gesture like “Oh well” before he walked away. I wanted to go back to the kitchen and request that the salad be added to the order because quite frankly, it’s the least they could do, but I had already missed the beginning of the movie, I didn’t want to miss any more.

My experience was just flat out annoying, if I’m paying more money for a Vip experience, I expect for the customer service to be amazing and accommodating. Your employees need to hold themselves accountable for their mistakes, and work with the customer to correct it. I don’t think my partner and I should have to suffer for someone else’s mistake. Not only was I given cold food, but also the inconvenience of having to leave the theatre after my movie had started because I was “given the wrong order”. The least you could of done was give us a side salad for all the trouble.

We go there every week I wish the did somthi g about the chairs on upper floor as they are bounce back when you try to recline

Great area. VIP has "non-recliner" chairs. However, we asked to switch sessions to one with recliner chairs and they were very helpful. Very good costumer service

Excellent very comfortable food was nice. Only issue was that it started off warm then got very chilly in the theater we were in during the movie.

I like the VIP theaters in general, better seats, you can order food before the show. Yes it is expensive twice the price of a regular ticket but I like to treat myself. Pick my seat in advance and no kids.

Cute bar setting to enjoy prior to the movie. The whole individual washroom situation was a poor design choice; there’s a lineup before and after every movie.

Reclimbable chair and waiters who serve you alcohol and food with no crying children! What more can you ask for?

I can't say enough good about this theatre! Attentive staff, wonderful setup, and great acoustics. A 10/10 experience.

It is always a treat to enjoy dinner and dessert at the VIP theatres from the comfort of our seats. The service is always good and the portion sizes are substantial. The brownie dessert, which was free with entrée via an email promo, was large enough for two people!

Going to the movies will never be the same. Take advantage of their half price Tuesdays and check out the VIP Cineplex locations for a great experience! Order your food and drinks (even alcoholic) to your seat, recline those comfy leather chairs, and watch the movie in style

Excellent theater. Bathrooms are usually nice and clean, staff is friendly, and the theaters never disappoint.

Fantastic customer service. And we love the reclining seats! Very comfy. I would suggest to visit on Tuesdays so you can take advantage of the half price, or else it would be a bit too pricey. Definitely worth a try if you haven't done so.

19 plus so no loud obnoxious kids. It costs a little more than a regular theatre, but the extra money is worth the seats, the service, the food, and the drinks. I've noticed people are a lot more respectful here. I go to the theatre to watch a movie, not be interrupted by people talking or looking at the phones. I've never had that problem here.
