Great doctors and short wait times but the receptionist seriously needs to leave the attitude at home. Idk what it is about these guys being unnecessarily rude and condescending, nobody deserves to be treated this way.

Friendly and professional Doctor for walking in patients.
Amazed of given attention for first visit. For the last 10 years it’s a first time that doctor have done appropriate assessment of a new patient, asking all the questions for anamnes, palpation, reflex texts, referral for physical assessment, prescription for medication, recommendation of exercises.

Friendly staff, thanks to Dr. Mohammed El Amine Smair for having me today, he's a polite and experienced doctor. The clinic is nice, you need to make an appointment in advance on their website (it's very easy, you just need to create an account).

Why they say its a walk-in clinic? Tried to come in or book an appointment in a same day and was told Citrus is not operating as walk-in. Review your logo!

I only put a 1 star because I couldn’t put no star. This is not a walk-in clinic as they do not accept walk-ins. Shouldnt be advertised as such when someone is sick and drives to their location only to find out they can’t be seen

I was hit by a car while on a wheelchair (I am disabled). I went to the closest Walk-In which I will not mention anymore. That walk-in clinic told me that their schedule is AM (no walk-ins). I got struck at about 10 AM. However, this walk-in said that by 3: 30 PM they take appointments. How is that a walk-in. Fortunately, I went to Citrus Medical Center and Margaret (bless her heart) called an ambulance for me and even the police came to take my statement. I was wisked to Toronto Western Hospital Emergency and was assessed and diagnostic tests were done. Citrus Medical Centre is the only place to go for Walk-ins. Don't go to other crabby places.

Had an amazing experience with Dr Sheth and her attentive staff especially Kate and Justin! Justin and Dr Sheth were very approachable, knowledgeable and would try to accommodate any way they can!

Used this as a walk in clinic for years, now you have to make an appointment. Fine. Except your website doesn’t work, and if you call it gets disconnected in a couple seconds. Impossible.

Great experience and fast service. Shugri assisted me kindly, made sure I was okay in waiting room and showed amazing professionalism. I chose to take my family dr.at this location after such a comfortable experience.

They are impossible to get a hold of on the phone. You just get put on hold and no one ever answers even after an hour. Good luck getting your meds when you need them. Also if you need an appointment you'll be waiting at least a month at some points.

NOT a proper walk-in clinic as you can't actually WALK IN to see a doctor. You need to make an appointment in advance and they're booked up for days. Defeats the entire concept of a walk-in clinic especially when youre in pain and need medical attention.

The "online portal" to book an appointment doesn't work. Can't book for an appointment for some time now. Tried to email for an appointment, no response. Every time I call, I wait forever for someone to answer the phone.

Tried to get family doctor on line (the only way these days). Website is awful, gets you no-where with no assistance. You will go in circles with no success. If you reach out to their support- well there isn't any. Pharmacy within the office isn't great either. Went in to get prescription filled at 9: 30 am and they were closed. Hours of operation on door states Open at 8am. To anyone who needs to find a doctor, do not waste your time with Citrus Medical.

It is very hard to get your own GP available in this clinic. Most of the GP s work only one day for in person clinic visits. They require appointment for walk-in visits and they are always booked. Their website mentions that they are open in both locations but their Lakeshore clinic is not physically operating. I have been with this clinic over a year and never was able to get an appointment when I need. They have nonsense clinic policy. Stay away!

False advertising. They say they have a walk-in clinic but don’t have a doctor. They rather take personal calls than answer customer phone calls. Don’t go here

My first doctor with Citrus was apathetic and unhelpful. She left the clinic, now I'm with Dr. Pham and I like her much more. However my sons' doctor Dr. Harvey was also a disappointment. He did not refer my son to urgent services as requested, and did not follow up with him. Now Dr. H has left the clinic and my teenage sons have to move to a young female doctor - no option given! Emails to the owner/office have been ignored. I get the sense the doctors move through frequently and do not develop rapport with the patients or a sense of ownership in the clinic.

How I wish I could give it 0 stars. If you really want to feel better, take my advice stay away from Citrus! And if you want an insurance later on, god forbid if your history is with Citrus, they'll make you go crazy! Today it's been almost a month, that my insurance company is running after them for a thing as simple as APS, and they literally just keep harassing all.of us. Blatantly lying despite giving a written proof of cheque delivered, a new person responding everytime, no number where you can reach out to them and absolutely horrendous attitude!
And the doctors would spend no more than 30seconds-1min with you no matter your issue! Do yourself a favour and get treatment somewhere else!

Thank you for responding and subtly stating that you cannot disclose personal details even if what I have stated is incorrect. I request you to kindly go through my case if you have time, which I am assuming you won't, and then comment on wether what I have stated is right or wrong. I have literally all the dates with me, I share the tracking number which clearly stated that the payment was received and yet 1 week later I was still told we are waiting on the payment. Regarding my experience with Citrus as a patient, I again do not wish to go deep into disclosing confidential details, but in a gist, I had to consult another clinic after Citrus and that is when I got proper treatment for my issue. I am sorry for putting this out after being lied to constantly, I don't mean to bring anyone down but I definitely know I can put across all dates with proof of my mail communication with Citrus and you'll clearly see who's wrong and who's not. I also understand you're a big clinic, and that's why I waited patiently, did all the leg work which wasn't even my responsibility but after giving the tracking details which clearly state something, if someone says we are still waiting on your payment, I was left with no other choice. This puts me in a tricky situation where my temporary insurance expired and I am unable to get a permanent insurance because of APS.

I'll wait for an update post which I will edit my review. I have gotten a call stating this will be taken care of by end of day today. I don't intend to leave this review after that.

I wanted to take the time to write a review about how happy I am with Dr. Emily Martin and her naturopathy services at Citrus Medical Centre. My session was broken into 3 parts; an in-depth information gathering questionnaire prior to our appointment, a detailed video appointment (due to covid), and a comprehensive treatment plan detailing the what we discussed during my appointment. I cannot say how much I enjoyed this process. Dr. Martin is extremely knowledgeable, empathetic, and encouraging. I felt listened-to, cared for and supported throughout the process. I gained key insights on my health and was very motivated to make lifestyle changes with my treatment plan. Working with Dr. Martin has been excellent and I highly recommend it!

Welcome to doctors chiropractors gang club.
They keep referring their patients to their own chiropractors even when you proactively ask them chiropractor is not your solution and you need an ultrasound/ xray.
My partner has been suffering from lower back injury for years and they kept refusing to send her for an x-ray though it should have been the case in the beginning.
We finally managed to get a referral after literally insisting.

While my family doctor is at the Royal York location, the pharmacists at the lakeshore location are BEYOND amazing and nice. They are extremely organized as well, they already had my prescription waiting and ready before I had even called in to get a refill done. They are always beyond pleasant to speak to! Thank you soooooo much

Before coming to this medical centre and having Dr. Shaireen Kassam as my family doctor I was going to a horribly run down office, horrible receptionist and a horrible doctor! Since coming here I've accomplished more with my health then in my entire 20 years of life with my original family doctor. This office is very clean and new, my doctor is extremely kind and patient and helpful and I'm finally not so terrified to go to the doctors anymore! Dr. Shaireen addressed all of my health concerns and always makes sure I'm comfortable and understand the procedures she will be performing or will be sending me to have tests on. So happy I found this clinic and doctor! Also, I see some people mentioning the front staff being rude however I think it's uplifting to have the front staff be joking around with one another and they are perfectly polite every time I've been in!

Update, I’m still going to this clinic and I recently had to go in for a walk in and the wait time took a while as it was busy that night and I felt so bad for making them stay a little later as I was the last excepted patient but Dr. Harvey was amazing and reassured me that it was alright that I kept them a little later.he was amazing and made me feel so relieved by the end of my visit!

Haven't had a bad experience here, everyone shows they care, even if you're just walk-in. I've had a universally poor experience at every clinic I ever went to, but this seems to be an exception. One of the biggest standouts is that the front staff actually make you feel welcomed.

The doctors here are extremely rude and makes you uncomfortable to disclose your health issues. The doctor walked right out of the room when I was explaining her my health conditions. Also, I’ve been trying to come here for weeks now for prescription refill by walk in, everytime I come here, the receptionist is rude and tells me there’s 2 hours wait time. I’ve driven here 8 times in past few weeks and was not able to wait that long and still no prescription refill. I am beyond upset at the type of professionalism here.

Been coming here as walk in patient for few years and I’ve seen the high turnover for doctors here and they truly demonstrate how much they do not like working here infront of the patients. The doctors I’ve seen here are very unsympathetic to sick people. Came here with fever and fever related symptoms, the doctor was in the room for 20 seconds (not even one minute) and said take some over the counter medication and go home. If you come here for another health issue, the doctor stares at you like you’re crazy and not normal. Based on the other low rating reviews, I’ve experienced all of this at citrus medical. I’m considering going to another walk in clinic.

Dr Merry Maclellan is my family doctor and I have had great experiences when I visit. Dr Maclellan is efficient and always gives a lot of options for my concerns. I like that Dr MacLellans approach is least intrusive without ruling out other options and airing on the side of caution by providing referrals to specialist. I have never had to wait past my appointment time and that alone gets a good rating from me.

I had a great experience at Citrus being treated for a back injury suffered a few weeks ago. First meeting through a walk-in appointment with Dr. Harvey, and later being treated by Dr. Corey Cipolla. Back to my regular routine in a few short weeks of Physiotherapy and exercise. Can’t thank Corey enough for his help!

The cheapest place. Not sure what their game is but they wouldn’t prescribe some basic diagnostics eg.ultrasound, x-ray, blood test, etc, by claiming it’s a waste of the government money when any other walk-in will send you there as the first step to to actually figure the problem out. Been doing physio for 3 months, ended up electroshocking a wrong side of the joint cause they said they didn’t need an ultrasound image. Also the service is always poor, no questions asked, you are just always ok or making stuff up. Biggest bs in the area.

Website incorrectly states "both locations are accepting new patients". The reality is there is a long wait list and they're trying to hire new doctors. The receptionists told me they don't want to update their website because "it's a lot of work". It's not a lot of work, just update it.

Edit: thanks for responding but I did not misunderstand the receptionist. She very specifically said "we didn't update the website because it's a lot of work". I was surprised by this so I asked her again to confirm this was what she meant. Just update your website to the correct information. Otherwise it's a waste of people's time. Right now is December, you're saying you'll maybe have a new family doctor by next year fall?

I have been seeing Dr. Monika Madan since last January. She is punctual, thorough and overall focused on YOU when she provides care. So far, I have been receiving excellent care.

There are competent doctors here and it's a nice enough office but if you are looking for a walk-in clinic, you might be waiting a long time. They allow people whose family physicians are here to make appointments and supersede any walk-ins, which can leave you literally waiting 2-3 hours at a busy time because they do not assign a doctor specifically to handle walk-ins. There are some doctors down the street on Lakeshore which can be more convenient.

Alicia is the best receptionest, she ALWAYS goes above and beyond, if you need anything speak to her, the other ones are always about money. Forgot to add that Dr. Pham is an AMAZING DOCTOR my kids and I love her, she really cares.

It took me over a year to find the kind of healthcare that I was looking for! Dr. Harvey is compassionate and very knowledgeable. I trust in him completely. Tony answers all questions you might have regarding your medications thoroughly. The staff are happy and helpful, a pleasure coming to this office from the beginning to the end of your appointment. I've been going here for years and the doctors were always nice though the wait time is always at least 30 mins it usually closer to an hour. After today's experience I got really annoyed and decided im not putting up with this anymore. Im now searching for a different medical clinic to go to, we arrived at about 10: 20pm (they open at 10) and wait over an hour and a half to see the doctor. We were wanting a few requisitions (blood and ultrasound) she gave us the blood ones but refused to give me an ultrasound requisition because "she doesn't have time to examine me before prescribing one" now, the doctor gets to get paid by billing my ohip for requesting the blood work and I didn't get what i wanted because apparently, I have time to wait for her for an hour and 40 mins but she doesn't have time to do her job. I also asked if I could have a pap done and apparently it's by appointment only.when I asked on the phone if I could they said never mentioned anything about appointment only. They don't do appointments for the weekends and have limited evening appointments. 2 stars only because Dr. Harvey is actually great but I just can't get over the horrible bedside manner I received today. Incredibly frustrated.

I have been a patient at Citrus for roughly 4yrs now, super costumer service from reception, and DR William Harvy is a pleasure, always willing to listen and spend that extra time with his patients, I recently had an IUD put in and was very hesitant about the procedure, it went extremely well! This is hands down the best clinic I have been to in Toronto

I saw Dr. Merry Maclellan for a walk-in. The whole thing took maybe 90 seconds and it was obvious she didn't care. I went to a different doctor the next day who actually looked and listened to my concerns, then gave me a different diagnosis and referred me to a specialist whereas Dr. Maclellan just said "you're fine, goodbye".
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Dr Harvey is the best Family Doctor you can ask for. Also, all the staff at Lake Shore location is very friendly and looking forward to doing their best.

Dr Harvey is absolutely wonderful. You'd be hard pressed to find a more compassionate and caring family doctor in the city. The Citrus medical team overall are courteous and respectful.

If you're looking for a new doctor's office and you're close to Citrus, do yourself a favor and check them out. Five stars plus five more if I could give it.

Absolute worst clinic ever. My girlfriend went to this clinic, with white tonsil and they sent a test to get checked out. After 6 days, the receptionist over the phone told her they came back normal. She went to her family doctor (when her tonsils were green, same day) and they immediately diagnosed it as tonsillitis. She was in an extreme amount of pain and her family doctor questioned what doctor would say it’s a negative diagnostic. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here. The doctors are obviously poorly trained and the receptionists are extremely rude. Will be formally reporting my girlfriends doctor after this incident.

Dr Harvey has been my family doctor for a few years now. His patience, empathy, “bedside manner” and gentle expertise is a breath of fresh air.and proven solutions. Dianna coordinates things like an air traffic controller and—to top it all off—they now have an outstanding physiotherapist on the team. Justin Vanderleest is one of those rare physio providers who really digs down to the root of the problem and works up from there. If you want it fixed right the first time, see Justin. We’re fortunate to have this team right here at home:)

I came in as a walk in to Citrus and was greeted by the receptionists who were very friendly, kind and polite. I then saw Dr. Pham who was very professional, nice and understanding. Overall great service from everyone in that clinic, they show you that they care about your health.

Did a walk in gig on Valentine's. No wait line at 3 pm. Was seen by Dr McLellan. Was all business and to the point. That's what you'd expect from a good walk in. The doctor is knowledgeable and met my expectations.

Went in for a walk-in appointment some time ago and was seen by Dr. Fola Sam-Ogunbiyi. I told her my concern about my lack of appetite and without showing any interest in my health she said "You know eating is a choice, right? You pick up the food and you eat it. " She even made the gestures as if I'm not sure how to eat. I felt completely and absolutely disrespected. It was the worst experience I have gone through at the doctors.

Terrible staff and horrible service. Doctors just leave in middle of the day and force you to go to their other location. Avoid Citrus Medical service.

I’ve been going since they opened about 4 years ago. My primary physician is Dr. Harvey who is an excellent Doctor.

Dr. Shaireen Kassam is my family doctor and she is great, always addresses all my concerns. She is very attentive and friendly, its pleasure dealing with her.

Dr. Justin Vanderleest is a very knowledgeable physiotherapist, I came with elbow pain and it took him few minutes to find out what was wrong with me. Took only 6 treatments and I barely feel pain in my elbow, considering I didn't really do any exercises he told me to do at home.
He cares about his patience and always comes up with different techniques and treatments. I highly recommend Justin!

Completely unprofessional office administrator. When I tried to book an appointment the receptionist/administrator asked me twice about the exact health issue I wanted to discuss with the doctor. When I explained that it is confidential and I am not going to discuss it with her then she decided not to help me and told me that there was no available appointment for an entire week with ANY of the doctors at the clinic.
I have never been treated this poorly by any medical staff in my entire life. The receptionist has no reason to know about my medical conditions since she is not required to keep that information confidential and also she has ZERO medical training, so why would she need to know my medical conditions? Completely unprofessional.

Called this location Jan 3rd 2019 to make sure they accept blue cross before visiting. They indicated they did. When I arrived they said I have to pay $100 up front then claim through blue cross myself. Therefore they do not accept Blue Cross and lied to me on the phone. Then I ended up sitting waiting to see a doctor for almost 2 hours. Other patients came in long after me and somehow were pushed in ahead of me for some reason. I ended up being the last patient to be seen therefore the on site pharmacy closed right before I needed to get my prescription. To top it all off they spelled my name wrong on the bill and the prescription, which is now causing me grief trying to claim everything through Blue Cross. Everything about this facility was a complete failure.
