We were very impressed with City Home Comfort, we woke up with our furnance making a bang than it sounded like a washmachine on overload called City they were at our home in know time fixed the furnace and we had heat again. CHC was recommended to us by a fellow Beacher/East Toronto. Upon the initial contact regarding a new gas boiler and water tank, Shawn has very promptly replied over the phone to offer feedback and then a written quote. I cannot yet speak to the equipment and replacement experience as we are still deliberating over the equipment. I will update this review with new input later. For now, we are very satisfied with the initial, prompt and informative customer service.

City Home Comfort recently supplied and installed a new gas boiler and indirect water heater at my fourplex. It was a somewhat complex installation, but they were very professional, and did an excellent job. Many thanks to Chris, the installer, Chris, the owner/estimator, and Shawn, the project manager.

I had such a great experience! They showed up the same day, were super nice and professional and fixed the issue on the spot. They were also very affordable. I can’t thank them enough for the amazing job!

We were looking for an HVAC system and I received many calls with quotes for this work. I was impressed with the service that I received from Shawn (Snr Project Manager). Shawn called me and explained everything in detail over the phone and by email. He was very knowledgeable and responsive. Shawn provided 2 options on his quotation, and we signed up for a Heat Pump which was installed within a week.
The installers, Moe, and his assistant Haider, were polite, easy to deal with and did a good job.
Would deal with City Home Comfort again if ever needed.

I highly recommend this company. Long story short, my furnace broke this January over a weekend and had to be replaced. Called several companies to get a quote and found City Home to be more client oriented and professional. They also offer better labor&parts warranty and better prices then other companies I contacted-for similar products.

Very responsive, professional, and expert service on furnace issues. Will definitely go to them next time I have any HVAC issues.

We had a great experience with City Home Comfort, they installed a new 50gal water tank for us. Shawn was really great helping us figure out what we needed and setting it all up, and then the two guys who installed it were also excellent (I think Moe and Haider were their names). I really appreciated too that Moe was very conscientious to make sure that our furniture and floors were protected, as well as to warn us of any noise that might disturb our baby, which we really appreciated. We'll definitely go to them again for more HVAC stuff, highly recommend them!

Sales process was quick and responsive to questions, installation of the new furnace was prompt and efficient, cleanup was good, system has been working fine since installation, no complaints.

Great repair and replacement of Thermostat, very professional and engaging technician who dealt previously with my problem furnace.

I want to relay the terrible service I received from this company. I purchased a new boiler from them in late March of this year. This fall I noticed that my upstairs did not get the desired temperature and that the rads did not get hot. I had a service tech come out at least three time to try to figure out the issue. After each visit I was told that the tech would be back the next week to continue trying to solve the issue. Each time after waiting more than 1 week I called their office to see what was happening and then the tech would eventually show up except the last time where I was told he would be out in a week to fix the issue. He never showed up and I called again and was told he would be out the next week but he never showed and the last time I phoned their office I left a message and nobody called me back.

This is only part of the problem. Their tech was not able to figure out the issue and that is why he kept coming back. The last time he told me it was a stuck valve on one of the rads that needed to be fixed. In my frustration I called another company to look into the issue. He identified the issue in less than 5 minutes and fixed it in just over an hour. The problem was that the pump for the upstairs zone was frozen and was fixed by installing a new pump.

I will never use these people for service again

From beginning to end City Home Comfort was phenomenal! The sales rep Shawn was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Chris came to do my installation and he was on time, friendly and he took his time to make sure everything was done correctly. I highly recommend anybody looking for a new A/C contact City Home Comfort.

Yearly inspection and service. Inspection and cleaning. One battery replacement that made a world of difference. Technician explained why and what the battery was for. There was a noticable improvement. The A. C unit ran quieter.

They removed and installed a new a/c and water heater. Shawn, whom I spoke with on the phone (on the Sunday of a long weekend I might add) was very patient with my numerous questions, as well as knowledgeable. Although the booking and payment were not as seamless as I would have liked (I'm not very I. T.savvy) it all ended up ok. Ken and Chris that completed the install did a pretty good job and also identified a problem with my thermostat that I wasn't even aware of. All in all, they deserved more than a 4 star but didn't quite achieve a 5. I would however, definitely recommend their services. They were not the cheapest by any stretch. I paid a little more than I wanted to but, you get what you pay for, and I believe that overall, although it wasn't a bargain, it wasn't overpriced.

Amazing crew. I had a high efficiency combi boiler installed in my downtown condo. Project was considered challenging by many contractors who gave me an estimate as drywall also had to be removed to replace the old ducts with new PVC pipes. They also had to fish through the new PVC pipes. I've been dreading doing this project for a long time but these guys took it on and made the entire process painless and seamless from start to finish. The quote was quick and competitive and they were able to start work soon after. Work was excellent, crew was very respectful and took extra care to protect furniture. Shawn and Chris were amazing. I just can't say enough good things about them. Do not hesitate. Just go with these guys.

After looking into many furnaces to replace our old but reliable high efficiency one, we decided on a Trane. The whole furnace industry looked very questionable, with insider terminology and weird specs, made car sales look ethical. After a false start with another HVAC company, we decided on City Home Comfort in Toronto. Turned out to be a good choice. Two guys, four hours, cleaned everything up (left a broom behind). Quite pleased with them.

Excellent service. I have used them for heating and cooling more than 3 times. 100% satisfied.

The furance is good quality and affordable. It is very quiet. I hardly notice it is on. My entire home temperature is consistent within 1C. Thanks for the multi speed fan. I only give a 4 stars instead 5 stars because the finishing on the sheet metal for the duct is not as straight or professionally done. Also the humidity control switch was placed high up. My wife needs a chair to reach it.

They were very professional and got everything done in a timely manner. Kept everything clean. Came early too! They were also very respectful of my pets and house. Did a very good job for everything. Had water softener and RO installed very happy with product and results

Hired CHC to do some maintenance on my furnace/AC in the new house we bought. The guy came on time and was honest in his assesment (did not try to push or upsell anything - was honest about what to just leave vs repair)

I've used them twice now. Think I got Gracjan both times.
First time it was a second opinion when another outfit recommended expensive repairs- Gracjan found it was a $100 thermostat. Second time, he crawled through the bushes to find it was a defective $130 solenoid. (If you think that's expensive, get a quote on a new installation.)
Most guys would just say replace the whole thing.
Wouldn't use anyone else now.

After a bumpy road of false starts to get to the actual repair, Chris arrived early, apologized for the poor lead-up, took precautions to ensure no collateral damage to the building and completed the repair. I've been a customer of CHC for many years and made many referrals. Most of this time was 5 stars but I dropped one for the last minute cancellations and lack of responsiveness. Hopefully it was just a one-time blip and we'll be back on 5-star footing again.

We ordered a new AC with CHC and we love it - can't hear it all, very quiet. Getting a quote was very quick and easy via email. Shawn was great in providing and explaining different options. AC was installed practically the next day after we ordered it. Installers were great - friendly and very gentle with our house. Installing the new AC on top of the mechanical room on the rooftop of a 5-story townhouse must've been not the easiest assignment. Really happy we chose CHC!

CHC installed a new furnace for us 18 months ago and was totally impressed by their professionalism and workmanship.

Wanted to arrange annual maintenance for AC, so was an easy choice. Dean visited and was friendly, informative and topped up the refrigerant to address a cooling issue.

Now have furnace and AC annual maintenance agreements with them. Definitely recommended.

My heating stopped working in the winter on a weekend and had some other company come by to check what the issue was. Turned out the gas valve was the issue and needed to be replaced. So I asked around for some quotes and CHC was the only company that gave me a reasonable quote and turnaround time. They came the next morning and even picked up the part for free which was super nice. Installation didn't take long and was good. Very professional and honest folks.

I replaced my leaking water tank with a tankless water heater that was recommended by Shawn at CHC. I am very happy that I did. The tankless takes up very little space in comparison to the huge water tank. The service and installation was great as was the customer service. I did not deal with this company before, I got referred to City Home Comfort through a website that help people like me with getting infos and quotation for furnace instalment furnaceprices.ca.

Shawn, the salesperson for City Home called me after my request for a quote on the said website and walked me through a few options regarding upgrading my 20 years young furnace. Already having a few quotes for the job, I picked City Home and Shawn’s recommendation and upgraded to a Trane S9V2 96%. Price wise it is not the cheapest model nor the cheapest quote, but from my life experience in general, good things cost more. I think I made an excellent choice.

Of course, time will tell if the furnace itself proves it’s worth, but from all the info and feedback I can find, it seems like a good choice for a small difference in price, and with Trane it must be installed by a factory trained technician, which is a plus for me.

City Home Comfort has been helpful in dealing with me and has been honest and straightforward with their appointment, through text and email, giving me spelled-out details of the job, no surprises.

The technician who came to my house and installed the furnace was really cool, friendly and professional. I have to say it might have been one of a tough days for him doing the piping for my old home but he took it in stride all the 9 hours to finish the job, no complain at all. He answered all the questions we had, got the job done nicer than what it was before and left with a thank you.

If I have a need to I would not hesitate to use their help and I would recommend anyone to CONSIDER the same.

Unfortunately, I have change my review. A few days after the maintenance check I had done, a part of my AC broke down. I called and suggested that something was overlooked in the check that was done and was told it was my fault for not getting it serviced instead and I would be charged that fee for them to send someone to look at it. Disappointed and very confused, and 2 very hot days away from having a baby, I went with another company to repair the issue.

Shawn was great, he came to do our annual A/C maintenance. He took his time to clean and explain what he was doing throughout the process. He also gave us tips on how to care for our A/C to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifetime of it. I recommend this company for all HVAC products or services. Great job!
