The Driver of Taxi #CZKX068 could not locate a passenger so he stormed to the building yelling "F" words to the residents and refused to leave the building. He is very aggressive and I would strongly recommend to think twice before you placing order for City Taxi who contracted the drivers with anger management issues

Two people named Ali and Brar who hit and damaged my car. They hit my car in December and told me that if I didn't go to the insurance they would pay for it, whichever one I called led me to the other. I had my car repaired for $2000 and paid for it. I met with their manager three times but never got paid. Taxi number 702. I went to work by bus for a week. I lost my time and money. And because of these kinds of people, my trust in people has been lost, and I hope you will find your punishment from God.

Very poor service today. 1st car at pick up said someone else was coming. 2nd taxi showed it & didn't have 15min to take me to destination. 3rd taxi siowed up & could take me. What a joke.made a very long night too much longer.

Terrible service and work ethic! Pre-booked a wheelchair accessible taxi, had a confirmation number and NO taxi showed up! I consistently book my taxi an hour in advance. I have missed 10 doctors appointments in the course of the last six months for no show. They do not call to let you know they are not coming either. Terrible service!

Why have 8 cabs sit at no frills at albion mall and all 8 claim to have no debit machine.isn't that something every can should be equipped with?

Paid the driver 100$ cash to drive my sister home to Burlington from my home in Toronto. I have this exchange on camera as it was in front of my building. When he got to Burlington he demanded she pay him again denying he took any cash from me and my sister paid as she felt intimidated and unsafe. When I called the company to report the incident, and explaining it was recorded, they reached out to the driver and he claimed I tipped him $100 and then she paid him the $70 fare as the regular rate. Obviously that makes no sense! The company has done nothing to make this right. Disgusting.

This was a difficult review to write as we had two really bad experiences and one very good experience with City Taxi all in the same night.

My family & I contacted City Taxi 24-hrs in advance to make certain that arrangements could be made for my wheelchair bound father to be picked up from his nursing home by 6: 15pm for a special 7pm family dinner (we gave ourselves about 15-minutes leeway time just in case of traffic or anything). Not only did the dispatcher assure us this wasn't a problem, they said it was an easy request to fulfill. So we waited at my dad's nursing home with him all bundled up in a hot winter jacket, extra blankets, and his winter hat on.and waited.and waited.at 6: 30pm we called to ask where the taxi was as the nursing staff were getting worried about my dad was now starting to overheat having sat there for 25mins. City Taxi's response: ''Oh we're sorry nobody told you, but we can't guarantee a time of arrival, we'll TRY to get a taxi to you shortly. '' (Try? !) More waiting, more phone calls, more concerns from the nursing staff as my dad was now very uncomfortable and overheated in the lobby.and FINALLY at 6: 50pm they arrive (only 35mins late which isn't the end of the world, but probably felt that way for my father). When buckling my father's wheelchair into the cramped space, the driver was very forceful as I could see my dad's head bouncing around as the driver shoved the wheelchair into the shared space with his storage items (sadly he's too weak to hold his head upright at all times).

We got on our way to the other side of the city when the driver says: ''If you want to make taxi drivers happy you should always pay in cash (after we already said we'd be paying by credit) ". He further says ''I can personally be back to pick you up on time, if you pay me in cash for the fare and tip. '' No discount or apologies offered for the $65 (plus tip) ONE WAY fare despite his extreme lateness, poorly maintained taxi, and forceful boarding.
So let me get this straight, he'll do his job properly if he's paid in cash? Maybe we just misunderstood? He follows with the comment ''Please don't tell the taxi company I said this. ''

But to show this isn't the whole story.we naturally declined his kind offer of being on time to personally pick us up if we paid him cash. And the return taxi driver we had, showed up on time, was VERY polite, didn't have random storage items in the back of his taxi, and he was VERY careful when loading and unloading my dad. Definitely a much nicer experience.

Will we use City Taxi ever again? Definitely not, nor would we ever recommend them! The one great driver we had would've been enough to balance our perspective had it just been one bad driver vs.one good driver.but the disorganization and misinformation from the dispatcher showed us this company hires great people as the exception, not as the rule.

If I'm approaching a car I shouldn't be getting directed to a 6 seater van. Only other cabs available are Beck and 80% of them are driven recklessly and they always take the longest route.
I understand the van was there first, but I needed a car. Absolutely DISGUSTED.

They come pretty fast to your pick up. But if you have to pay by debit there’s an extra $2 charge to your fare!

MAJOR ISSUE WITH FRAUD! I have had a similar experience to other reviews.

One of your taxi drivers stole my debit card on October 8th and spent nearly 2k using it.

This is what happened:

I was walking down the street late at night alone when a large man (customer) was arguing with one of your taxi drivers. The large man chased me down the street and would not leave me alone, and begged for my help stating that the taxi driver would not accept cash and only debit. He would not leave me alone until I paid for his cab. I gave the driver my card to swipe the machine and he swapped my card with another debit card from the same bank (I did not notice that the card was swapped).

Not only that - a second City taxi customer (one block away), that same night, approach me to pay for his cab. Exact same situation but with another cab.

This is clearly multiple employees and 'customers' (a major fraud scheme) so I have reported it to the police. I will not be letting this go. Approaching people late at night, alone, not letting them walk away.out of fear is not okay. Let alone, stealing thousands of dollars.

Worst Taxi drive ever! Was leaving a concert at 10: 15 at Budweiser stage. Was in the city taxi. The man never stopped talking interrupting my conversation with my friend. Went the wrong direction (on purpose) to make more money on the meter. He was so so annoying and loud! Never ever again will I take City Taxi

Driver didn't know where CNE is. He wanted to drive us around the city.
Ended up harassing us and yelling in front of my 3 small kids.
We paid and left the car. The dispatcher calls us and accuse that we didn't pay.

I took a taxi to work this morning at 6: 30 am. Not only was the taxi driver checking his phone on the highway and had his radio channel on in his language loudly, he also freaked out when I said I was going to pay by debit. I had NO CASH for my wallet was in my car which had problems last night. He was practically throwing a tantrum, he called his buddy from the dispatcher and complained “this lady wants to tap, man. ” I am explaining to him that I have done it before especially during COVID when no one wanted to touch money. Their portable machines have TAP options on them. He was a noxious and unprofessional screaming at me; I then E-transfered him. He had the audacity to include a 15% tip which clearly he did NOT deserve.

This Guy answering the phone 5 am on a friday morning, got so much attitude and no knowledge of how to treat a client right. I had waited 40 mins for a taxi and when i called back he hung up on me. Never again.

Requested a taxi with credit card machine, driver arrived and played the trick that his charge machine was broken

His English was poor or so he pretended, single female passenger, will not use this service again
Car was quick to arrive, thus 2 stars btw.
Supervisor did not answer his call for 15 mins when I tried to pay that day and
I was blocked from using the service 3 months later, unknowingly.and after 25 yrs as a customer.

Credit Scam by City Taxi driver:
Be careful, a City Taxi driver and his accomplish stole my debit card ID and withdraw close to $1000 dollar after I used my card to pay for $7.50 fare.

I pre-booked a taxi van as my family and I had too much luggage for a standard cab. I booked for 9.45am the previous night to go to Union Station. Toronto. After it was 5 mins late I called and was told the van would arrive in 5 mins. It didn't and I called when the cab was 15 mins late and was told 6 to 7 mins. Again no cab arrived. At 25 mins late I requested immediate dispatch of 2 standard size cars. Those did not arrive either. Appalling service and will never use again. Needless to say city taxi did not provide a taxi to get us to the station on time for our train despite pre booking and having in 30 minutes contingency.

Very bad experiences. Cheap and aggressive drivers and totally rude, always desperate and demanding more money and tips: (

I suggested my guest take a taxi home. Im not big on uber. But then city taxi basically kept saying “about 10 more minutes” 45 minutes later my guest said theres uber 2 minutes away. And got on uber two minutes later. Im trying to support taxi cabs but about to give up. Other cabs co’s do the same. If theres a call back for eta get the eta its not that difficult. We all got stuff to do dont waste our time

The whole system is really annoying. A free cab could be sitting right beside you and dispatch will send you a driver who's 40 minutes away.

Taxi driver was hysterical, and harrass me.sick man.for women they should not feel safe. On Thursday January 27th the driver I had went well beyond and above. The taxi arrived quickly. I was taking my dog to a emergency vet. Before we even got there Theo had died. It was only 10 minutes. I cried and screamed. He suggested that I try to resuscitate Theo. Theo's eyes fluttered opened and he took 2 last breaths and he was gone. When we got there the clinic had moved. The driver tried to find it but it was not to be. The driver was compassionate, empathetic and very kind. I could've a better person with me.

Worst taxi ever. First were struggling to locate the correct address. Then did not even show up and had me waiting for well over 45min. Didn’t even bother to call me to say they were not going to show up.

Taxi no CYDN 601, driver is doing 60km/hr on 401 and changing lanes with no indicator. Passengers will be hanging on to the rope for dear life.

Ali went above and beyond in helping me in my time of need this past Friday night on the 401 expressway!

I called the company and the first guy that answered told me it’ll take them 10 mins and after waiting outside for literally 15 minutes I called back seeing what’s wrong and a lady answers and tells me with no remorse at all and in a I don’t care voice said there’s no taxis around my area and puts me on hold then answers saying it’s coming in 10 minutes…. Like your gonna confirm the first time there was taxis and now theres isn’t? How unprofessional of the man and the LADY ESPECIALLY, also why are you not call me and tell me the situation? Like let me find another way of getting home instead of waiting around…. Like how terrible of them

Worst taxi service… unethical and dishonest drivers backed up by they’re administrators. Never take this service if you would like to have a safe commute.

Disappointing service. Twice I have requested a wheelchair van to take my mom to the hospital. Twice they failed to attend. I called the night before to book the van. Twice they were not on time. I have to call always to follow up. Horrible service. Not reliable. Not considered to others needs. Why accept the booking the night before if you cannot deliver. Bad customer service. Use another cab company. Not recommended.

I took one because my company had a voucher and an account with them.

I should’ve just taken Uber and expensed it, because my colleagues left within 5 minutes and the Taxi STILL ISNT HERE and it’s been more than 30 minutes, this is ridiculous.

It seems that a lot of complaints are regarding the conditions of vehicles. I agree. But I want to say "thank you" to City Taxi. They arranged taxi service for me when I desperately need a ride and took me to the destination on time.

From calling in to dispatch, to being dropped at my destination. ALWAYS amazing service! Always polite and friendly.

My wife waited over 25 minutes for a pet friendly cab to travel with a 4 pound puppy. Only to be told by phone that no cab was ready to accept the ride. Went with another ride service. Look elsewhere -any cab service Should not Discriminate

Quick to arrive. The driver was really nice and friendly and took a short cut around the traffic.

Taxi cab drivers 964 and A492 are very rude drivers! Even when I call complain the company does not care. I will take my rides with other company and I want everyone reading this to do the same! This company not recommended! I used to be long time customer but not anymore!

Very professional and sweet driver. He was so helpful which made such a difference after a flight with an infant!

This cab driver (cab owner 46) was trying to pull into a tight spot beside me and I told him there was enough room but he ignored me and parked anyway. Sure enough the passenger hit my car trying to get out of the spot because he didn't have enough room. I guess he didn't care there were plenty of other spots available. So unnecessary.

Called for a cab and the person who answered my call was so rude, they made me wait atleast 1 hour for a cab after they said the cab would 'be there shortly', not only that but the driver was very disrespectful and creepy, then used racial slurs after I wouldn't answer to his "personal" questions. Never using this company again! Cab number was A1188.

I always have good dispatchers. I usually get amazing drivers there are the one or two that are very rude. No photos at this time

I always use this company and the drivers are prompt, kind and careful while driving. I won't use anyone else.

My hotel booked me a taxi with this company and let me know it would be a $10 flat rate. When I got to the airport the driver demanded $20 and told me the hotel was wrong. I found it very overpriced for a 2 minute ride. I asked for receipt to follow up directly with the company.

I called the hotel and they very graciously credited for the over charge. I decided to also call the cab company directly to make them aware of the situation. I spoke to manager Neil who let me know the driver was suspended and that they were dealing with the hotel directly. While I appeciate the driver being suspended I found the manager to be very dismissive and with a bad attitude. He was basically told me to stop complaining because the hotel was giving me my money back rather than thanking me for my feedback. Definitely will not be using them again.

Picked us off the 401 after a flat tire. These guys do the job no body else will. Bobby the dispatcher really went above and beyond. Very impressed by their service. The driver was also amazing and courteous. Thanks to all!

The person who answered my call was downright disrespectful and kept cutting me off mid sentence. The "5-10" minute wait turned in to 1 hour, I called to find out where my taxi was, they told me that I never called for one, so I just cancelled my order and went with a different company, they were there in 5 minutes and the person that answered my call was extremelt polite. Do not use this company unless you like being interrupted or being super late to where you have to travel to!

In the upside down reality we live in today it's so refreshing that City is not one of the taxi companies asking you a million questions. They're more than usually good at what they do as well.

I use the taxi of this company yesterday afternoon from Albion and Finch to Brampton Civic Hospital.

Driver charge me $120 for ride.

They seem to not care and like to overcharge the customer, I call in office to complain and I get hung up after they tell me it not their problem.

I will never use the company again and will choose another for my travel.

These drivers go out of their way for you if u need a little extra help. Always on time. Always very nice.

We had great ride yesterday me and my granddaughter with one of the City Taxi driver. Car #308 was courteous and helpful man. He helped me dropping off groceries at my front door as I’m elderly with some difficulties. Plus the car was very clean. Thank you City Taxi.

This place doesn't even deserve a one star.
I was driving to work in my own car, cab number 2593 decides to cut me off attempting to get into the lane while exiting a plaza causing me to slam on my brakes and honk. He then proceed to honk at me, speed up, cut me off, then slam on the brakes while proceeding to drive on the line so they were always infront of me.
Judging by these reviews you're better off using Uber because they sure as hell don't care about you and your safety.

Please do not use this company. One of the drivers verbally assaulted my 7 year old son with a disability.

First and LAST time I will ever use this company. I should have read some of the reviews or looked at the rating for this company. Well, their rating is about to go lower.

I advise you use someone else or another method of transportation. I was in cab# 308 this afternoon around 12: 30pm coming from downtown to my home in Etobicoke, the car was dirty and stunk of cigarette smoke, the driver was also very rude and was very close to causing some major accidents with his erratic driving, then he tried to overcharge me at my dropoff. Oh, did I mention he was texting and making personal calls while driving too? !

I had called their line to complain about my experience and got cut-off mid sentence by the guy on the phone saying: "I DON'T CARE, AND NEITHER DOES THE MANAGER, SO GO USE ANOTHER COMPANY AND HAVE A GOOD DAY! " And got the phone slammed right in my ear.

Well, I will be using another company and NOT one that is run by a bunch of clowns!

Driver didn't want to take directions; he drove all the way from Davenport/Landsdown to Scarborough using backroads. I tried to give him directions to get on the 401 but he said he's been driving for 19 years and know where he's going.
I'll Never use this cab service again!

I called for a taxi from these guys just now and the operator on the other end sounded like he was asleep and did not care about sending one to me.

I called back and spoke to someone else right after to make sure my order was placed in, and she said that there was no record of my call being placed and told me that I was "stupid" for thinking that one even was. That is not how you do customer service!

I just received a verbal harassment from one of your drivers on Gerrad and Bay. He did a abrupt U-turn in the middle of the street (ILLEGAL) and didn't care to wait as I was biking pass him. He shouted at me and said "You wanna die"?

My wife and I took a taxi from this company yesterday afternoon around 3pm, the driver was very rude to begin with, did not even say "hi", just asked where we were going, when we got to our destination he demanded we pay him $50 in cash for a ride which was only $10 but I told him we requested debit when we ordered the taxi. After a short arguement he finally handed his debit machine to me.

He then called his boss at the headquarters as I was making the transaction and told them to block my number from calling ever again because we never paid for our ride.

I then called in and his colleague at headquarters agreed that I was a scammer and don't pay for rides! I ALWAYS pay for my rides so I don't see what the issue is! Well City Taxi, if you don't want my business, thats fine because I'm never giving you guys a single cent ever again!

I use to drive with company in Toronto but I quitted.

All dispatcher and managers and most staff racist, towards my religion, and do not care about driver being well or concern and comment. I have many friend who my race and tell me about this terible experience too.

All this company care about is themself and money. Orders you get are not that good either. And the dispatcher do favoriteism, meaning he give good order to driver his same race or religion.

Any body looking to drive taxi with people in the company, I suggest use any company other companys to sign up with.

Don't use this company, the driver of cab# A351 was smoking a cigarette inside the taxi WHILE TRANSPORTING A PASSENGER IN THE BACK SEAT OF HIS CAB this afternoon around 3: 00 P. M. And when I rolled my window down and told him it was not the right thing to do, he basically told me to "screw off" in my own language (Punjabi) so the customer would not understand what he was saying.

I called the company to complain and they told me that there wasn't anything that they could do about it. The customer also seemed very unhappy with the service they were receiving too by this moron of a taxi driver.

Seems obvious they do not care if some customers are possibly sensitive to the smell of cigarettes.me, along with this idiot's passenger have agreed to never use City Taxi ever again.

Informed taxi before ordering that I am 38 weeks and would need a cab for me and my 3 month old tiny Pomeranian puppy.ordered at 7pm and it's been almost 40 minutes when i was told it would arrive in 5-10 minutes and I'm still waiting I am probably never going to order with this taxi company again and I should probably cancel and just order beck taxi: (horrible service for using this company for my first time.never again as I am now going to be late to pick up my child and she will now be going to bed late due to this cab company waisting my time.no respect or professionalism at all

I call in advance to book for a wheelchair taxicab to be at my home for my Mother who is 93 years old to come to take her back to nursing home, taxi driver said he could not take her because his ramp no working and I would have to call back and ask for another one, I don't know why he would take the call if his ramp not working, driver also very rude too! The taxi number was 4114.

So, I call and person on phone told me it would be 30 minute wait for another, I was fine and I waited and waited, after 1 hour they call me back to tell me they have none available!

What a terrible service! Never will call this company again for travel needs for my Mother and even for myself or even friends and family!

The most aggressive and unprofessional group of taxi drivers I have ever encountered. One started to argue with my family member as the were pulling in to the hotel entrance to pick us up. He actually cut off my family member on the outside and stood with his patron in front of the car, then began to yell at my family member that was driving to wait. Absolutely ridiculous.

Taxi driver #1151 is an unsafe driver and does not deserve to be on the road as he drove like a complete maniac!

I confronted him about his driving and he yelled and cursed at me and even gave me the middle finger! I called the company to complain and they sounded like they didn't even care ONE bit!

I encourage anyone who still takes taxis to use this company at ALL and select an alternative just like I will be for my own safety!

Driver wasn't waiting for me at the prearranged at the airport for the time I scheduled. Instead called me on his cell and asked if I could meet him at departures instead of arrivals. I refused. Took the longest route to the hotel. When I questioned the choice he told me it was a "shortcut". That shortcut added an extra 15 min to my trip. Upon arrival at the hotel he requested an additional 15 dollars on top of the charge for airport fee. I advised it was my understanding that fee was only pertinent if he was waiting for me in the prearranged. He was not. At this point he apparently "didn't understand" what I was talking about. How convenient. When I called to complain I was passed to a man named Kyle who told me that I should have asked him to take a different route (I did not know what way he was intending to go). He also asked why I was worrying about the charges since another cab company had hired them and was covering the cost, however that is not accurate as I had completed a company taxi slip for this service so although the other company may reimburse them ultimately the money is coming from mine. So very crooked and rude.

I called for a handi cab taxi and the dispatch operator was so rude. Dont even think to call this company. Horrible

This is awesome cab company we took their services from Toronto to milton Ontario wery fair charge the cab driver was super cool and friendly made extra stops for us with out any extra charges. The cab number is 1029 his name is rajveer Singh I'm very pleased with the service he provided. I will suggest this company to anyone traveling long distance.

Today I had a very bad experience with a silver color taxi with number 710 in co-drivers door. My father took the taxi from St. Clair to Lawrence East. Instead of drive him through less traffic he went through Eglinton! OMG he drive through all constructions and traffic roads! The most ironic is that he asked my father if he prefers any directions. And my father replied "you know better what is the best direction". My father spend around 45 minutes in the taxi, usually needs 25 minutes. And the cost was much more because the driver pick up the busy road by purpose. Unfortunately I don t remember the company but it was a silver taxi with 710 number. I will transfer my experience everywhere I can!

This is a good taxi service. The only issue is that your requests are not always processed.
The drivers are quite polite and reasonalbe.in terms of customer service, it is the best cab company in toronto. However, the wait times are a bit long, and sometimes the orders are not processed for some reason.

Otherwise it is very good.
