Terrible waste of time and money. I would recommend going to a vet that actually likes animals.

Due to staffing shortages at our regular vet we were asked to attend this location for our dogs vaccines. Our dog had been extremely ill for almost year and was finally well enough to get her yearly vaccines. The vet we saw was extremely insensitive to our situation and said "we had to think about when we had done enough for her". This was after she was told how much she had improved recently. On top of that we recently found out when trying to get our dog to attend a dog day care, that they hadn't given her booster for one of her vaccines that she was had received previously, making her non permissible to the daycare. She instead was given the vaccine for the one she wasn't due for. Even though our regular vet had sent over her medical history.

October 23/23 brought my miniature shitzu in for itching issues. After exam she was in good health for he age. Prescribed Vanectyl P. 2weeks after taking medication started vomiting, diarrhea and tremors. Took her back on November 8th after much pleading. By this time she had difficulty breathing and bleeding from mouth. X-rays done. Was told she had enlarged heart. She went from 13 pounds to 22 pounds in just over 2 weeks. Sulcrate Plus prescribed to stop bleeding plus 2 other shots. That afternoon at 4: 22 pm called vets office to state she was a lot worse. Bottom line is was told to keep on Sulcrate. After trusting vets recommendation my little girl died at 12: 20 am November 9th in my arms. Side affects of dug should have been stressed about underlying conditions. Vet gave me hope she medication would help her. Always question the drugs prescribed to your pet. Nobody can afford to have X-rays and blood work done every time a medication is prescribed. I have video of how she was struggling. Never again at this animal hospital!

Dr. Merrie is the best. I went in with my kitty, both of us super stressed! I felt 100% better after she took care of us. Would have been a 5 star visit but wow, vet visits are expensive. Oh well, our kitty is worth it.

Dr. Barrett and the front desk staff are always fair and attentive in their care for my pups. Clappison’s Animal Hospital is a pet first vet clinic which is such a relief after years going to profits first clinics.

Every time you go you see a different vet. They often recommend specialists prematurely that costs thousands of dollars

They're informative, realistic and take the time to talk to you and come up with plans that work. Techs and admin are also all very polite, quick to respond to emails and lovely to talk to! Hours are fantastic, and every time they have managed to get us in to the clinic whenever we needed it. Despite all the issues our puppy has had, she LOVES to go see everyone at the clinic. Highly recommend and appreciate all their care so far, won't be going anywhere else!

Imagine having an emergency animal hospital that requires you to call and doesn't answer the phone when you do. My dog was dying and it kept ringing till it would hang up.

Staff there is very pleasant and Dr. Hamilton addressed all our concerns in a very calm and kindly manner.

Great staff. Friendly and helpful where ever they can. The Vets are amazing never pushing items you don’t need.

Overbooked place. Reception is too busy to keep track of what they are doing. Showed up for an app and was told they gave it to someone else. Sorry, come back another day. We don't have 5 minutes for you. Needless to say, when your cat is a terrified rescue that's hard to catch that isn't so easy. So def not thrilled with this place.

Best vet I have ever had for my dogs, I am so upset I have moved away because I have yet to find a vet that can compare! HIGHLY RECOMMEND clappisons animal hospital! Just love you guys!

So grateful the clinic was able to help our very sick little dog on a Sunday. The doctor was very kind and skilled, vet tech and all staff very friendly and professional. Attending was an excellent experience, and made both of us feel better.

I had to finally put my 14 year old Chow to sleep and the staff was so compassionate and kind during the entire process. They also privately cremate for a fee so you can keep the ashes of your pet in an urn or a pine box with his name on it. Because of the costs of how much both were they were very helpful in allowing us to split the payments by like 3 weeks so we could afford to do it all and didn't give us any issues about it at all. They also sent us a card with his paw print in it for free which was totally not expected but such a heartwarming gift.

Excellent staff and service. The amount of care and compassion is outstanding. They even called to ask how my dog was doing a couple days later.

Great staff! Friendly and unlike most vets, they walk you through the process with regard to treatments. If you are in the area and on the fence due to it's location, do yourself a favour and go with substance over convenience. You won't be sorry!

Our rescue dog was terrrrifed of everything when she arrived in Canada. We brought her in for a simple check up and (even though it was over the phone) we felt all our questions and concerns were remedied. We have continued to go to Clappison Animal Hospital for our pooch Dora.

My dog was injured camping, took a chance and brought him to Clappison Animal hospital. The receptionists/vet techs were kind and caring. Dr Hamilton was amazing-and when I told him my dog was completely deaf, he said 'l'll talk to him anyway". Enough said-if only I lived closer I would switch vets in a minute-

Honestly I was a little apprehensive to go to a new vet (my usual vet couldn't get me in for quite awhile) but I am so glad I did! From the initial phone call to my pups appt, tests, surgery and his aftercare, everyone I have spoken to has been nothing short of amazing! A special thank you to Dr. Merry and Dr. Longridge for the amazing care my dog received and to Christine (the office manager) for being so kind and patient with me with my millions of questions and probably just as many phone calls. Thank you all again.

This place is pretty good. Although I took my dog for vaccines and they wouldn't let me in to watch them do it. If I am paying 300+ for a vet visit you better believe I am making sure it all gets done.

Excellent vet. Asked all relevant questions and reviewed options including cost without suggesting extras which may not be needed. Suggested appropriate treatment plan and next steps if required. Friendly staff who followed up after a few days and answered any questions I had.

We moved our vet care to Clappison, following our move to the Burlington area. Our wonderful experience at Country Tails Doggie Daycare led us there. Our experiences with the staff at Clappison have been nothing but great and we recommend their facility for vet care to everyone we meet. They are caring, reliable and very organized when it comes to scheduling. It is also very convenient that our dog can visit daycare and receive the vet care he needs during his visit. Thank you for your ongoing hard work and the highest level of care, particularly during these unprecedented times (covid-19 pandemic!)

We've been to a few different vets over the course of our dog ownership, and Clappison outshines them all.

What I love most is that a) they are animal lovers of course, and b) they do not try to upsell you, or use fear tactics to get you to spend more money. They are super honest people, who only care about the health of your animal.

I have been going to this vet for 20 years off and on, since I was 12 with my first cat, a Himalayan, they are always reasonable and so caring!

We have used this vet since 1979. Needless to say with several dogs. We have always received caring service. Our most recent encounter was a covid experience and it went very well. I actually think the dog seemed calmer by being dropped off at the door than when we go in with her (a bit like toddlers at a day care).

I had my cat bently in for dental this week.
I am so pleased with his recovery.xtra pain meds were given at my request as he had seven teeth removed. The cost was below the original estimate.

We have two dogs and one who is quite medically complicated. I cant say enough how amazing the entire staff at Clappison are, not only with our sweet little girl and her health complications, but also with us. Their pricing is fair, hours are excellent, knowledge of the veterinary team is top notch. We are so fortunate for this fantastic veterinary clinic and the service they provide.

Our puppy attended the vet for her 3rd set of shots today. Dr. Jennifer Merry came out to meet me outside prior to her examination for a update, then called me after her examination and my puppy was returned to my car with her puppy package of instructions and a new toy. Yes, Covid 19 protocols are implemented.

On the hardest day, the staff here made everything as easy as possible. What more can you ask for.

Wouldn’t take my little Henri anywhere else! I have been with this vet for a little over two years. I appreciate their commitment to quick appointment bookings, to their care during the appointment and their honest assessment and options and price ranges for services. I wouldn’t take my dog (frenchie) anywhere else. The staff are beyond friendly and professional. They take the time to make you feel valued and important. My dog goes to doggie daycare which has been a lifesaver! It’s not only affordable they do photo shoots during special times of the year and so racial gifts to and from your pets. Honestly can’t speak more highly of this vet and their staff. It’s a pleasure knowing them and Henri is so lucky to be cared for by amazing people!

Even though I didn't get to enter the building because of covid. The person that took my dog inside was soooo happy and positive. You can tell they love the animals.

These lovely people took care of my Wishbone when i was little and ill always be grateful.
He passed away a few years ago and we brought him here when he was a baby all they way upto age 17.

We are not clients but had to bring our puppy there during an emergency. They were fast, efficient and wonderful. Thank you so much for helping our puppy.

We took our Rough Collie puppy Robbie there for neuter and hernia surgery,
Unbelievable that they omitted to remove all of his stitches 10 days later,
Many years of training to fail miserably on such a basic procedure,
We would definitely not recommend anyone take their pet here,
Always check their work,
Do not assume as we did that everything has been completed
as anticipated.
Very disturbing and hugely disappointing.

The veterinarians and support staff at this hospital really are an exceptional group of dedicated professionals. My wife and I have been taking our fur children here for the last seven years and have been very satisfied with the care provided by Dr. Longridge and his team. We highly recommend his care, especially if you have a cat - the entire team is very cat friendly and compassionate towards this sensitive species. We cannot recommend Clappison's enough!

This is Jackpot. He was found as a stray but had too many health problems to be adopted out. He was less than 1 yr old and he had such a loving personality so I asked permission to take him home. He had a very large hernia that needed to be repaired but because of his other issues he was a very high anesthetic risk and it was almost impossible to intubate him to put him under a gas anesthetic. But the surgical team at Clappison was willing to try.
Dr Hamilton, Kristin and Kristy (RVTs), and Aislin (ACA) were just amazing! They prepared in advance for any anesthetic emergency that might happen and Dr Hamilton was actually able to place an ET tube! Dr Hamilton worked fast and efficiently and the RVTs and ACA monitored him closely all during his surgery. He was recovered without incident and is now home and back into mischief. I can't overstate how impressed I was with the entire team's skill and care for my little Jack. Thank you so much Clappison!
