Great place to visit if you're a drug addict, a collector of used needles, or looking to live in a dangerous encampment. For everyone else, best to avoid the area, especially the eastern side.

Not the best vibe with lots of tents in the park. Heard there was fire that broke out here recently.

Homeless people took benches and tents everywhere with trashes. Saw a bunch of people who were standing and moving weirdly due to drugs. Doesn’t feel safe to walk especially when it’s dark.

I had a very bad experience with the front desk guy. On my checkout day, I was getting ready in my female only dorm room and I was an hour late than the usual checkout time (11am). So this front desk guy without knocking the door just used his keys and entered the FEMALY ONLY room without any intimation. He just walked upto my bed without permission. When I complained about this to the other female colleague of his then she just shrugged this off. I understand I was late and I had informed the cleaning lady which came to room at 10am but it is highly unacceptable that a guy is randomly coming to female dorms. I have been travelling from 5 years and lived in many hostels around europe but this never ever happened. Everybody adjusts for an hour or so. He even charged me extra money just for an hour which is still ok but how is it acceptable to enter the rooms? I will never recommend anyone especially girls to stay at this place.

The park itself is nice. But unfortunately it’s full of tents now. Lots of litter, and people screaming and fighting eachother. Best to avoid after sunset.

It's a beautiful park in the oldest part of town. Clarence Place (beside the gas station) and the Steele's Briggs' Building have stood in those spots for just a little over 120 years now, and is breathtaking every day to walk around that area of history, with the 1812 War Memorial (Victoria Square), Wellington House, and Fort York, are within a 10 minute walk of.

We love the dog park here, it's clean, has water fountains for your little ones and it's pretty big. As a park, overall - not my first choice.

Il y avait 2 maisons de sans abris mais on ne les as pas vus.alors j'estime que la place est sécuritaire de jour.de nuit c'est peut etre a faire attention.

Beautiful location to sit and relax, walk your dog or people watch. At night, the musicians come out and perform. It’s a great park!

Great off leash dog park! Substrate is small pebbles so the dogs don't get that dirty when they are playing around.
There are almost always lots of other dogs here for your 4 legged friend to play with.
If needed there is on street Green P parking on the north street 1 minute walk away.

Fenced in dog park.
Stinks like dog all over the place.
The city needs to find a harmless way to wash the dog park so the scent/odor is not so strong.

Otherwise it's a dog park. No water. Not sure why they wouldn't allow dogs to drink water.

Even covid has effected our 4 legged friends. (No Water)

Off leash dog area suits nearby condo dwellers.
Other denizens are usually guzzling beer from new LCBO beside. Nice park, but often crowded. Not really a family place. More like a predrinking place before hitting the SkyDome

Our daily dog park as it's the closest to home. Fenced dog area and people great however park is neglected. Pebble ground cuts dogs paws and is filthy in the fenced area. Grass area often littered with old food and sometimes drug paraphernalia from frequent park drinkers. Unfortunate as the area has potential

Lots of trash everywhere unfortunately, and directly south they are doing construction on the street. Beautiful trees and fountain but thats sorta all its got. I hope it can get cleaned up!

Very spacious dog park, perfect for letting them run around. Water fountains, shade, lighting and benches. However the surface is loose pebbles, which isn't ideal.

This is centrally located park on spidina st it is close to everything you need also there is a fenced in dog park with water fountains for both humans and their pets.

Looks like the dogs enjoyed it, despite the gravel. Lots of doggie water fountains. The cluster of smokers were annoying though.

This review is for the dog park within Clarence Square. It's great to have a fenced-in dog park in such a central downtown location, which is the main reason for the good rating. This is your typical small-ish off-leash dog area, and includes a doggie water fountain for drinking and rinsing/spray down.

I docked a star because the entire area is filled with large chunks of gravel, which isn't ideal for small doggie paws (maybe this is a bit paranoid but I also suspect it could be bad for running/jumping injuries), though I know earth/soil has its own pitfalls. There is no shade in the fenced in area, so it gets quite hot in the summer and full sun. Otherwise a nice little central spot for a puppy play date!
