Classic is our favourite Indian restaurant! We have frequented Classic Indian for decades and appreciate that it is a family run business. Th noey are friendly and take great pride in their food.

Have dinner in before but had takeout and everything was ready, well packed and tasted fantastic. One of my favourite places to go for authentic Indian food around the tri-cities.

Fabulous. True to their advertising, the food is flavourful and fresh. Authentic. Glad to be able to enjoy some of my favourites like kothu roti. The lunch buffet was totally worth it. Comes with dosa. My new go to celebration place.

Great and happy to have this awesome place in Kitchener - Waterloo. Such a nice food and ambience. Felt it is a festive lunch at home (Chennai).

Weekday buffet is a rip off. There were hardly a couple of items - out of which none of them are south-indian dishes. Not what you expect from a south - Indian restaurant. For $19/person there are better places to eat than here

Loved the food and its such a great place for dine-in. Food is sooo tastyyyyy its 10/10. Its super clean and has beautiful interior

First time here today. We had the weekend brunch buffet and it was fantastic - there was an excellent variety of items to choose from (with clear descriptions, specifying spice level as well), several being vegetarian friendly. There was a dessert as well. As part of the buffet they also make made-to-order dosas (pick up to 4 toppings from a well laid out ordering sheet). We really loved the options and trying dishes we may not have otherwise, it all tasted great!
We also tried the mango lassi - decadent!
Staff were really friendly and we felt very welcomed:)
Will definitely be back!

Every time we order a pick up, it's 30 min late. Why not just say the real time, so people don't waste their time.

The food was also pretty meh. The butter chicken was water and the naan was cold and dry.

Had their buffet ambience is very nice, kitchen and tables were very hygienic, went on a weekday afternoon there was no one to welcome us had to wait for few minutes before we even got seated. Buffet menu is small but had some varieties. Samosas very not that great, naans were salty, peas and mushroom was my favrt every other thing was very mid. Will try again during a bust day or weekend and try their menu to see if they got any good things there.

This was my first time at Classic Indian and it was great! We had the south Indian brunch buffet and there were so many different options and a variety of chutneys! They even have authentic dosas that are made to order. You can customize to your liking. I was surprised to hear that their soups were award-winning. My favourite was the mullugtwanny soup. Overall, great experience.

Every time I order from here the food is great and the service is fast. The staff have always been very friendly and I thoroughly enjoy getting food here.

Good tasty food. Only drawback is that they bring food one by one, even when your group had ordered the same item, which is so frustrating.

I tried dosa and the whole buffet there. To be honest, it was one of the best i had in canada. They give you the option to customize dosas their chuttney are literally scrumptious. The owner was very nice and well-behaved. The uthappam was sooooooo good i loved it.overall, the food was awesome

The best place to have indian food in waterloo. They serve the authentic south indian food. The idlis and vadas are the best. They serve buffet now and also they give so many customization options when it comes to dosa and uthappam. Do try their chutneys. And don't forget to have their badam latte. It's top notch. If you ever get a chance to visit waterloo. Give this place a try i am sure you definitely love it.

Oh my, where to start? If I could give 10 stars I would. We have driven past this place many times and always made a mental note to try it (and always forgot soon after). Last night we finally got out there, and wondered why we waited so long. Very clean, open, brightly lit, and fresh feeling atmosphere. Apparently they used to be located on a different street, but I'm glad they moved because otherwise we might not have found them. We were greeted with friendly faces and allowed to choose where we sat. We ordered mini samosas and onion bhaji to start. Chilli chicken, and chicken Tikka masala (commonly known as butter chicken) for the main course. I ended the meal with a delicious cup of Masala Chai. We have eaten at MANY Indian restaurants across Ontario, and not a single one will compare with this restaurant. We were truly rendered speechless when asked how our meal was. I know this sounds cheesy, but it's true. Simple words just could not describe how good it was. The Tikka masala was rich and creamy and melted in my mouth (I think I melted a little too at that first bite). My husband says the Chilli chicken was amazing, though the sauce very spicy (he was WELL warned when ordering!). The mini samosas were adorable, but still full of flavour, and the onion bhajis were crispy and cooked to perfection. We were also given a small caddy of 4 homemade sauces/chutneys for the starters. A corner portion of the restaurant is dedicated to their homemade soups, stews, sauces, chutneys, juices, desserts, and more, that are for sale to take home. We happily chose a few of our favourites from the evening, and will definitely be back for more. If you couldn't tell from my very happy, very long review, this restaurant is a MUST visit. We will definitely be more-frequent customers now. Thank you Classic Indian!

Classic Indian serves delicious crispy DIY Dosa. Also their Drinks are amazing, specially Badam Latte. Do give them a try.

This must be one of the best Indian dinner experiences I have ever had. Portion sizes were great/larger than expected, the “not butter” chicken was one of the best sauces I have ever had. We also ordered a chicken madras, which was the right level of spice! Absolutely recommend a stop here!

The lunch special is the best deal, three dishes, rice and naan. Also ordered for delivery, give them plenty of time as they take their time to make it but it’s worth it because there’s plenty of meat and vegetables in the dishes and not just mostly sauce like most Indian Restaurants in town. It’s not burn you a$$ out hot either so you can add the mango chutney and make the heat to your liking.

The food was ready on time and still nice and warm when I got home. I did my own pickup. The food was excellent, we had a nice variety. The service at the counter was friendly and courteous. I would definitely order from Classics again,

My wife discovered Classic Indian Restaurant thirteen years ago and she introduced me six years ago. Our very favourite restaurant in Waterloo: owned and operated by a wonderful family, delicious food, warm and welcoming service. During the last pandemic year, we've missed our weekly pickups from Classic Indian Restaurant and, now that we've begun venturing out, are excited to see Thiru and his wife and family once again. We recommend Classic Indian Restaurant to everyone!
