I cannot express how amazing Sensei Oke is. He is wonderful with children and has a very positive energy to him. At the same time he is very disciplined and knowledgeable. I highly highly recommend the Keirin dojo.

I have known Senpai Oke throughout my 10 years training in Karate. During those years, I have seen him immerse himself in training and eventually discover his true calling as a teacher of Martial Arts. I have experienced first hand that Senpai Oke is an amazing teacher to both children and adults. He engages and connects with students of all ages by recognizing that all students are individuals who may learn differently and therefore he adjusts his teaching methods to bring out their best. Senpai Oke was my daughter’s instructor as she was growing up and she often said that one of the reasons she enjoyed Karate and didn’t quit was because of the way Senpai Oke taught the classes – he was hard on them, but he also motivated them to train and overall they learned something and had fun doing it.
If you or your child are interested in Karate, I would highly recommend you consider having Senpai Oke be your guide into the world of martial arts!

Both my son and I are benefiting immensely by taking karate from Senpai Dan. Not only is it reassuring that we're both learning self-defence, we're also finding a new way to connect with each other in committing to a common study. We are both gaining confidence which is radiating throughout other areas of our lives too. It's amazing to experience both as a Mom in watching my son grow and improve; and even in myself as well.

Thank you for all you're doing Senpai. You're making a significant and meaningful difference in your students' lives!

Kohai Oak has been teaching me in Goju ryu karate since I was 6 years old. He has been my favoutite instructor and has been a very good mentor. His way of teaching is a way of the force and has a very good passion for teaching. When it comes to training he always pushed it to the limeits to help me progress. He makes me want to continue my training in the CMAC dojo.

Kohai Oke has helped with my training at the Honbu Dojo since I was in the kids and youth classes. His teaching methods, the way he relates to kids and youth and his overall passion for martial arts inspires and makes me want to continue with my training. Kohai Oke has made a lasting impression on me and I encourage anyone who is interested in taking martial arts to sign up with the Keirin Dojo now - I swear on the Star Wars legacy that you will not regret it!

Dan Oke has been a friend and training partner of mine in the martial arts for much of the past decade.

Beginning my training in traditional martial arts as a 5 year old, my parents saw the core values of discipline, self defense, focus, confidence and patience taught by Classical Martial Arts Canada. They recognized that these were key attributes that separated the martial arts from any other activity/sport for growing boys.

My parents understood that traditional martial arts aren't for playing, or sport. Real life doesn't have a referee and the skills, mentality and philosophy taught and practiced at CMAC on a day to day basis by Dan at the Keirin Dojo are reflective of this.

Having practiced the martial arts for over 20 years now I cannot imagine my life without it. I directly attribute my successes in academics, athletics and my career to my training in traditional martial arts as a growing boy.

I'd recommend that any parent looking to provide their growing boy with a sense of discipline and patience, coupled with a skill set that will protect them should they ever need it to visit the CMAC Keirin Dojo.

It is my privilege to make the acquaintance of such a caring and dedicated man as Kohai Oke. To say Kohai is knowledgeable, skilled and patient is just the tip of the iceberg.
When I enter the Keirin Dojo I experience a calm and positive energy. There's a sense of welcome and belonging as well. This speaks volume of Kohai Oke's character and demeanor. It isn't something that can be taught but comes from within.
The senior students are eager to assist when I find myself struggling with the lessons of the day.
Thank you Kohai and fellow students for your support and encouragement. Brian

I have been to other martial arts places. I believe Kohai (Dan Oke) is the best. I signed my kids and myself up. It is apparent that he is passionate about what he does, enthusiastic and dedicated to the martial arts and in teaching his students. He cares about his students and in their success and will go above and beyond to make sure they have all the information and practice that they need in order to be successful in belt testing and in demonstrating skills that can transfer into daily lives. (My kids will repeat quotes he uses in class at home, especially when using it as a guideline I should follow).

Okay. I will give one example of a moment that stood out for my husband (I was told about this) My son LOVES going to karate, but on this particular day, he was feeling sad and angry and Kohai used that as a teaching moment for the class to make him feel welcome and about being a team and showing support. My son left in a completely different mood and felt up beat and happy the rest of the day. It would be great if all teachers were like this.

Dan Oke not only instructs, he shares his passion for martial arts. It is one thing to be an experienced martial artist but it is another to be able to share and transfer the skills with a passion. Kohai Dan Oke has made all of his students want to learn, grow and succeed in their paths.
I've been practicing different styles of martial arts, in different countries and with different instructors and I can honestly say that Kohai Dan Oke has the values that we all want our kids to have in order to make an impact in the world we are living in: discipline, respect, patience and passion.
I would definitely recommend the Milton Keirin dojo as one of the best places to learn and live the value of a Karateka.
