Every time I use Clearit they fail to accept PARS and fail to clear my shipment. ALWAYS gets truck stuck at the crossing.

ONE OF THE WORST< THEY WILL NEVER PICKUP YOUR PHONE AND ANSWER EMAILS. TRUCK WAITING AT BORDER FOR MORE THAN 10HRS STILL NO ANSWER

I'm sorry but I had awful difficulties with clearit. They kept saying I had the wrong paperwork, so I finally hired another customs broker which cleared everything without problems within 24 hours.

I am on attempt #7 of trying to get clarity on a shipment from the ClearIt team with no luck. My contact was Beverley Latimer, and I have had an extremely difficult time getting any response.

All of my experiences for customs clearance with CLEAR IT have positive. I would recommend them to any business. The reply on the online chat box for any help.

Terrible customer service.
Tried for 3 weeks to get in touch with someone, sent numerous emails and reached out many times through their website.
Eventually got one response by email, but upon responding, nobody ever followed up.
I can’t imagine the nightmare it would be to have a shipment with them since you cannot talk to anyone, ever.
Definitely staying away and going with other companies who have a proven track record and actually answer to their customers.

Good luck getting a response. If you need to talk to them you will have issues here too. Ended up paying penalties for a few grand which a more responsive/communicative broker would have avoided.

Horrible. Out of 5 shipments with ClearIt listed at the broker, only one was cleared and received without hassle. One ended up being send back to the shipper and we tried again using a different broker and it went through no problem. I've also paid 2 invoices to ClearIt, only to have the shipment returned to sender. I've been left out the money both times and ClearIt provided NO information as to why the shipment was rejected. They are also very difficult to get ahold of, and IF you do, it's a different person every time. Just don't bother using them.

We have a shipment which has been issued a Legal Notice of Refusal by Fed Ex because they have not been given paperwork by Clear It. We are now paying storage fees at the boarder and have been trying (unsuccessfully) to reach Clear It for 3 days because they are always after hours. We talked to Tyler on Friday morning who was going to look into the problem but has never been heard from since. We are extremely frustrated and disappointed by the customer service that has been received. I would highly unrecommend Clear It at this stage of our experience with them.

Was looking for a custom broker to import a car from Japan and filled out a form to get contacted. I was surprised to get a quick response from a man by the name of Tyler Zeitlin, a "Director" who is too busy and can't be bothered. I emailed him about 3 times with zero response. I then called clear it on their 1-800 number and nobody answered so left two voicemails but nobody called me back so again tried to reach somebody through their interactive online chat which was the only good thing about clearit.ca
I was told by an agent that I had to get in contact with Tyler Zeitlin (rolling my eyes). I decided to go with another company 'cause honestly this company could care less, especially the big shot "director" Tyler Z. Avoid this company, pay a little more and deal with a company that will really value your business and be responsive.

I needed help exporting a vehicle from the US for Canadian import and Tyler from Clearit.ca was extremely helpful, as I was a bit lost on the requirements.
In the end they managed to make it work even though I sent everything just 1 working day before the export date.

Customer service was below par. I was emailing (per recommendation of someone else) with someone named Jodi Gonyo, who was very vague when responding to emails. Response time was well over 24 hours for each question and I was left with more questions after her response because it barely answered my initial question. I did call and leave a voicemail with no return phone call. It’s been almost two weeks from my first inquiry. Obviously they don’t care about customer service. I was inquiring for a business that has more and more shipments going from Canada to USA and I now I know that Clearit.ca is definitely not the right option. I will find a broker elsewhere who can respond to basic questions from a customer in a responsible manner. How can you trust that the information would be right if they can’t even contact you properly.

The recent shipment I had was my 2nd shipment, the first shipment of the same product went smoothly and passed the Customs without any problem. Until I worked with Clearit. Clearit made us changed our commercial invoice. They asked us to change our commercial invoice, which our product become textile product to children’s product. This change caused the Border and Customs protection held our product. They have detained our product more than 2 months. They have cost us almost US$6,000 storage fee, US$800 exam fee, US$2500$ children’s product certification and laboratory fees. The effect of Clearit’s caused us so much financial damages not to mention the stresses and worries we’ve faced. It’s so frustrating that Clearit’s misunderstanding of the business caused us so much financial losses and moral distresses.

Clearit didn’t care at all! They were communicating terribly. The phone number listed didn’t work, you can’t really call them and talk to them. Different person from Clearit can tell you something different than another person for the same situation. This was so frustrating and devastating specially for a small family business like ours. Clearit performance was not acceptable and not professional at all! Please run and avoid this company. Certainly we DO NOT recommend Clearit! We have lost almost 20 grand because of Clearit’s lack of understanding in the business. Don’t ever hire Clearit! Save your business and don’t ever work with them!

The service provided by clearit was good. I think there needs to good communication between suppliers, shipping companies, and brokerages to ensure customers are not left waiting for products.

I almost did not choose Clearit because there were a number of bad reviews. However, given the choice between paying them $49.95 or paying the courier $275 in fees, I decided to give them a try.

The process was very easy, and in less than an hour after creating an account and uploading the documents, my package was cleared. The fees were almost exactly what I was told they would be, except for an additional $15 fee for SWI (formerly OGD). It would have been nice to have a better explanation of this fee, both before and after the process, but this is a minor issue. I am still much further ahead using Clearit.

I am very satisfied, and would definitely use Clearit again.

Avoid this company. I asked for them to pick up my time sensitive shipment, they charged me, and then left the shipment at the airport. They then blamed me and left me to pay the overage fees for storage and handling. This company ended up costing me a lot of money.

I highly recommend Clearit.ca. I did a sea shipment from China and the brokerage was flawless with them. Saved a lot of money compared to other brokers. Not one issue in the clearance process. Easy and painless. Thank you Clearit.ca!

I requested information to use this service by telephone, email and their company website multiple times and never received a response from any of the sources listed above. I escalated my communications to the owner Adam Lewis via email and voice call - left 2 messages and still never received a response. This seems a little unusual to me for a business of this nature. Hope you have a better experience. Good Luck.

As a small business owner I depend on the efficiency and communication of ClearIt to move my products across the border in a timely fashion. Recently I have had and issue with the staff not completing the paper work on there end leaving me waiting for several days past when it was due without the products my customers depend on. On top of that customs fees were added to my order because they did not complete them in the proper amount of time. After this incident i had a honest and candid conversation with the owner of ClearIt where he expressed his regret and anger with that situation and assured me this would not be happening again. Yet here we are again today in the same situation going back and forth between the ClearIt staff trying to expedite this process as again I am left waiting for my products, the owner is gone on his honeymoon and the staff claim no one is in charge. There are truly no more words to say on this matter as I am left stranded by a company we should and did rely on.

Would highly recommend Clearit.ca. I've used them for a few months now for commercial shipments from US to Canada, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy and simply they help make the customs process, and their pricing is great. Their staff is very knowledgeable and easy to get a hold of someone when you need them. No surprise fees, great rates and everything is straight forward for you to see online through your account and track the progress of your shipment in real-time. I looked into a couple other reputable Canadian brokers first who made the process seem much complex, but Clearit has greatly simplified things for our business. I'm thankful to deal with the Clearit.ca staff to quickly process our customs clearance and deal with any problems. Very professional service, excellent prices, and simply, user-friendly online system.
