I got the smile procedure done at this clinic by Dr. Kranneman in Feb 2022. I’ll be first to say that the Dr. K and his staff are excellent. It’s a nice, clean clinic and everyone is really professional. I felt absolutely no pressure by them and they were very informative about the process of the procedure.

I’ll start by saying that my quality of life has improved significantly by not needing to wear glasses anymore. I have worn glasses for over twenty five years and decided it was time. I will say though that my left eye slightly weaker maybe due to my astigmatism not being fully corrected but it doesn’t bother me too much. It’s expected that not everything will go perfectly that’s just a natural thing that needs to be accepted.

If I could improve one thing it would be better communication to clients in the waiting room. I won’t go into detail but my surgery appointment was significantly delayed. It would have been nice to be informed and acknowledged periodically by staff that there was a delay. There is no need to explain why but just to be remembered that we exist while waiting in the lobby.

Other than that, their post care is excellent. They pay for parking and you get a pair of nice sunglasses when you go home. I’d recommend this place to anyone who is seeking laser eye surgery.

Losing sight to cataracts is scary and upsetting. Dr Kranemann and his amazing staff restored my eyesight and it's fantastic! I would recommend Clearview to anyone who is suffering from cataracts.

Dr. Kranemann and his entire staff were wonderful. They were all without exception kind, helpful, informative, efficient, supportive and totally professional. I had cataract & lens replacement surgery. Both the pre and post surgical procedures were clearly explained and documented for me so I was in no doubt at all what I should be doing to help insure the best possible outcome. A stellar experience from beginning to end.

I debated getting my vision corrected for years, after getting it done at Clearview my only regret is not getting it done years ago. It’s crazy to walk around and just be able to see without glasses or contacts. It honestly blows my mind.

I debated on three different companies and did a bunch of research and met with a few different companies and in the end I found clearview was the best option and had the best tech.

I would highly recommend Clearview and if you are debating the surgery because of the cost like I was, I promise you won’t regret it. Your only regret would be the same one I had which is wishing I got it sooner!

Had my smile surgery done last Christmas. Best choice in my life. I had a few problem with my eye after, possible not relate to the surgery. The doctor patiently explained to me every time and gave me the solution right away. Everyone in the office is super kind. They are more care about my eye than everything else.

My father had laser surgery for cataracts. I kept asking for information to be shared with me due to a language barrier but it never was. It’s impossible to get through to reception. It’s either busy or goes through voicemail. It does not matter the time you call, it is very difficult to speak to someone for help. I then resorted to emailing the team. This was a better response team but sometimes took days for a response and the email was not the one on the website. I would suggest a little more information provided to family members especially when there is a language barrier and especially when there are several eye drops that will be involved.

My cataract lens implant surgery done at CLEARVIEW Institute-was an amazing experience! The results were immediate after living in half darkness I see Crystal Clear! I am very happy!

The lasik I went for was SMILE, done in March 2022.3 months later now. No regrets. One of the best decisions I've made and money well spent in 2022!

Edited My review (April 2021) : while my eyes took more time than usual to heal from lasik it is getting better everyday and it’s phenomenal sometimes how great the vision is it’s not at 100% yet, and will take some time but the side effects are a normal part of the healing process. The doctors took time out of their own day to let me come in unscheduled and spent lots of time checking me up and providing excellent care for my worries and questions. Unfortunately I have had longer term complications from my LASIK surgery, and may have been the rare 1% with longer term issues after. 6 months, but I do not think its something that was predictable or foreseeable. While sometimes I have good vision, please do know that there is a chance of chronic eye issues from LASIK, but 99% of the lucky people have no issue.
5/5 for the expertise of the doctors, friendly kind care of the staff, with thorough pre-Op testing. They are very reassuring.but I will remove stars since I unfortunately did have chronic issues post-surgery but again do not think it was foreseeable and the doctors tried their best. Thank you.

Great staff, very friendly and a very clean place. I strongly believe that this clinic is one of the best in Toronto and they do some of the most thorough testing and pre-Op testing. I believe most people will have a great experience with LASIK here and it will go well for them, absolutely amazing clinic and they use the more advanced blade-less femtolaser technology with topography mapping if I recall correctly. Many of my friends have had LASIK/LASEK through different clinics throughout Canada and done extremely well. However LASIK is not perfect and not without its side effects from which I am suffering from. Despite following all post op guidance, be prepared for the operation to potentially render you unable to drive safely for a while and make work frustrating. It has been two weeks since my LASIK procedure and although I expected to be able to drive the next day, unfortunately I have suffered from side effects including starbursts, blurry/ hazy vision, double vision, etc among other issues to the point that working on a computer screen or driving is difficult and/or hazardous. It is likely I just got unlucky despite being younger and having a low prescription (-1.75 at most). This is in the disclaimer and unfortunately happens more often than people may think. At this time I cannot make out road signs correctly, and traffic, street and headlights are sometimes blinding and starburst. My peripheral vision is also very weak now even at reading distance, and at this time my vision in contacts or glasses would be much sharper/normal than what I have now. I figure maybe SMILE may have been a better option for me but I am unsure. According to the doctor I am still healing well apparently. I will definitely have to give it more time to stabilize but please do not expect magic glasses like 20/20 vision a few days post op. During my army training I have broken several pairs of glasses and was suggested by my optician that LASIK might be beneficial to me. After thinking of it for a few months I thought it would make my job much easier. As a 20 year old younger patient who’s current occupation would usually benefit from LASIK (Soldier /military) I am very hopeful my vision will heal and not impact my dream career in the service which I have recently started, so I am hoping my vision eventually stabilizes so I may return to work properly. Some patients may also consider monthly contact lenses such as AirOptix which you can keep in for a month at a time and sleep in, I wish I considered other options surgical and non-surgical prior to lasik. I hope anyone else who goes through LASIK heals better than I did and face less side effects than me, but please do be prepared and note that once it’s done there’s no going back. It has however only been two weeks and it will likely take months to heal. I will update my review as I see how my vision is in the future. Thank you.

My wife got the eye surgery (SMILE) here which was super fast and professional. Its been 3 days after the surgery and she is doing fantastic. I want to say many thanks to the operation doctor and all the staff for helping us so much and giving out such a great service. Duc and Trudy!

First time I walk in the clinic, i was in awe because this clinic is very modern, clean environment. Staff here are excellent, very organize and helpful.
You feel that they care. Step by step they know what are the preparations and instructions on what i should do, excellent. My surgery went well, i am so glad because of the staff took care of me properly, i feel safe and confident that everything will be okay. DR. KRANEMANN is an excellent eye surgeon. He really did a GOOD JOB. I want to thank them all for taking care of me. You guys are excellent.

Absolutely AMAZING! The level of care, the quality and cleanliness of the facility blew me away. From my consultation, to pre-op/op/ first day post-op everyone greets you by your name, asks how you are doing and have definitely set practices in place that deliver the best patient outcome. I was a nervous wreck the day of surgery (now looking back at it had no reason to be, LASIK is a VERY fast procedure), but the staff gave me a stress ball, and really calmed me down by having just simple thoughtful conversations. Dr. Kranemann is very skilled at what he does, there was no awkwardness at all during the procedure, just pure efficiency. It has only been a little more than 24 hours since LASIK and I am forever grateful for my improved vision. I did consultations with two other places and I am 100% very satisfied with my choice of Clearview.

I was initially reluctant to have cataract surgery out of basic fear to be awake while someone is operating on my eyes. I can assure you I am the biggest chicken out there. The staff at the Institute reassured me completely about the process. They are efficient and professional, and I must say.compassionate. I particularly want to mention how much I appreciated the concern of the pre-op nurse about arranging for me to get home after the surgery, when my ride home fell through. Dr. Kranemann was terrific, and although very busy, displayed a great sense of humour to reduce my stress. The results of my surgery are fantastic. I am still amazed at the clarity and quality of my vision, I opted for the 'upgraded' lenses, and can honestly say I have the eyes of a 16 year-old! I just wish I could say the same about the rest of me.

I was suffering with poor vision due to cataract for several years before finally deciding to undergo the surgery with Dr. Kranemann. I wish I did it earlier! My vision has improved considerably and at 82 I regained my confidence driving the car and am reading and watching TV with a lot less strain now. It has been a month since I have gotten LASIK done from Clearview and I have been taken care of every step of the way! I was so nervous for my surgery as I obviously wanted to make sure I was making the right decision especially since we’re dealing with eyes here and I definitely recommend this place and recommend you get LASIK done sooner than later. My new life with clear vision is priceless!

Long wait times (on average 3 hours with an appointment), and poor customer service. I didn’t even get a call to come in for a follow up post surgery, and I had complications with my surgery. For the price you pay you could go to the best clinics in toronto and unfortunately this place is not worth the price.

I was forwarded to Clearview when the original surgeon determined that there might be a problem with my cataract surgery. As a result I was extremely nervous about my procedure. Staff took the time to carefully explain the process, calm me down, and I felt completely prepared when the day came. I am pleased to say that I have had no issues, pain or discomfort, and vision improved almost immediately. I am so glad that I went there and will be sure to ask for them again if the other eye needs the same later.

I needed corrective lenses from the age of 5, and for the majority of my life I dreamed of getting corrective surgery completed. After having my eyes stabilize at -3.75 for four years, I began looking for places to get my surgery completed. I was recommended to this clinic and it was the first and only place I came to for an appointment. The staff was very professional and made me feel comfortable throughout my entire visit. I was able to get my surgery appointment within 2 weeks of my first appointment. I received the ReLEx SMILE surgery and within 24 hours I was already at 20/20 vision. Almost a month and a half after my surgery, I have almost no post-operation symptoms and am still in disbelief that I no longer need to be wearing contact lenses. My one symptom that remains, being halos at night, continues to decrease day by day as the staff mentioned.

I am only 21 and believe that this has been the best investment of my life. Knowing that I do have perfect vision is amazing and I am glad that I won't be needing glasses for at least another 25+ years. I would recommend this clinic over any other in the GTA!

Every aspect of the procedure and the ensuing success has been overwhelming, as I for the first time in my life enjoy perfect vision and only need reading glasses. I am very happy with the service. I see some mentioned long waits, but this was not my experience at all, with all my appointments I never waited more than 10 minutes. I liked how thorough the examination was and that doctors were very honest about all possible side effects and what to expect. It was nice to see that I was not pushed towards eye correction but given a fair warning of what to expect and what are my options.

Sparkling Clean office, with staff to make you feel comfortable and at ease. I had laser blended surgery and could see immediately. I am now 6 weeks and still a bit blurry when reading fine print. I mean super fine print. I can read a newspaper and the computer is very easy. I will give kudos to Dr. Li who was awesome with me. I saw Dr. Kranneman only once on the surgical day. All in all a 4/5.

I only have one regret; I should have used Clearview much earlier in my life! After my cataract operation my vision improved significantly and I had completely forgotten what white really was. I do not need to wear glasses any more and my vision for driving is much improved; especially at night. The staff at Clearview were excellent, knowledgeable and courteous. The procedure completely painless and I was seeing from the eye on which the operation was carried out as I left the office. The instructions that I was given for post-operative eye care were easy to follow and very comprehensive. In summary, an excellent experience and kudos to Dr, Kranemann and his staff.

Clearview Vision Institute surpassed my expectations and my expectations were high. Within one week of replacing the lens in my first eye everything was clear with no side effects. The second eye, my weak eye, is now at about 95% of the first eye, 7 weeks after the operation. Near perfect and getting better every day.

Dr. Kranemann and his team is amazing and knows what hey are doing. I recently got my cataract surgery done and I am very happy (at least so far) with the outcome. My mother who is a senior with severe anxiety just got her cataract removed yesterday by Dr. Kranemann at Scarborough Grace. From the beginning of the day starting at 8: 15 am every single staff had been wonderful. Dr. Kranemann was quick with the surgery and checked her again at 4: 30 in his office. He was gentle and great with explaining things to my mother. The staff re scheduled her for Friday to follow up again and were wonderful and understanding of my work schedule and let me have the last apt. She is ready to do it again in a few months for eye number 2. Thank you to Dr. Kranemann and all his staff.

I have been a patient of Dr Kranerman since 2012 for preventive glaucoma and yearly I would have my check up. I had been asked on numerous occasions if I wanted an appointment with Ms Kalopy Matheos and I declined as I only wanted to see Dr. Kranerman. On Nov 12th I had an appointment with Dr Kranerman at 8 am in the morning only to get there to find that Ms Matheos (who is termed as a Fellow not fully qualified to practice here and only arrived from New Zealand in July 2019) was taking over the appointment against my explicit wishes and then had the audacity not only to let me know that I would have a two - three hour wait if he does turn up so pretty much take it or leave it. We got into a heated argument where I explained that I only wanted to see him and she told me in no certain terms "To Get Lost". Rude, Obnoxious and Uncaring. I left not seeing anyone and felt it was important enough to explain what happened to me. I will NEVER return to Dr Kranerman again who clearly has lost his way.

I had cataract and glaucoma surgery recently under Dr. Kranemann. Not only was I delighted with the results, but the surgery itself was a piece of cake, and the follow-up was thorough. Dr. Kranemann answered my questions quite adequately.

Worst customer experience ever. I had my consultation with Dr. Taji. She was in a rush and didn't want to answer my questions. I was going to have my eye surgery with them but i changed my mind after talking to her. Please do not go with them.
