Been coming to this location for many years. And I was in today to buy a few items. I am a licensed hairstylist who is up to date with her renewal every year. I was told by the worker that my account information was expired. That she was going to still give me my discount that I was entitled too. But next time, it will not apply until I update my information.
I didn’t expect this, and did not have my card at hand. But knew I had the option to input my phone number. I try to explain this to the worker who seem to have a language barrier, that I was up to date with my license and that there was no way of showing my renewal because the the skill trade of Ontario is not issuing new stickers. She didn’t seem interested to what I had to say. My point in all this, is that suppliers should be aware of the current status which play a role in our purchasing items for hairdressers. How I can I show my sticker if the skilled trade is no longer issuing them. At the end she ringed me out and did not keep her word, did not receive the discount. I did mention to her, I noticed you didn’t give me the discount. She confirmed.

I should of received my discount. It’s not my fault no stickers are issued. And didn’t realize I should keep a copy of my receipt of renewal, which was done a year ago.

In conclusion my account was updated by a supportive supervisor at another locations who took the time to listen to my issue and was accommodated to my situation. I did not get her name, but was happy with her professionalism.

I will continue to shop at
Claire Beauty Supply, but it will no longer be at the upper James location.

I had the worst experience at clore with the manager sunny, she was following me around the store right when i walked in and was watching me the whole time, i was gonna get a wig a then she accused me of stealing and checked my bags without consent.i do not appreciate that type of behaviour and that most definitely should not be allowed.she needs to be fire in my opinion.

Great spot to find makeup for school LA Foundation's pigments, too, like blue yellow. Jewelry reasonable cost.

Nice store all the supplies are there however they have a staff pool of primarily black young women working there and the line could be long and not one of the black girls.can touch the cash register. And it's not only this location it's all of them. These poor girls are seemingly only good enough yo pa k out the goods and help the customers but operate anything with money. What a shame!

Prices are amazing! They always have what I want, and there is so many great items I can't find anywhere else. Looove the sunglasses they are fabulous️

I was disappointed today after shopping at this store for years.
Sometimes I don’t check my receipt, but today I did and noticed that the first item on my reciept, a blistex lipbalm, I did not purchase. I have been trying to get in touch with the store all evening and of course no answer.

Very disappointing that with all the security measures in place for customers to not steal, that there isn’t one in place for the cashiers as well.

I take full responsibility for not being vigilant about watching ever item being scanned, but I have learned my lesson.

This beauty supply store have everything someone with mixed hair needs. They have all the established brands at very good prices.

While the supply of products is good, the staff are very miserable and unhelpful. Do not seem to enjoy working there at all. Secondly, the “owners”, wander the halls basically breathing down your neck to make sure you aren’t stealing, which I find insulting and they pretend they are loooking for products but they are actually just ensuring the person isn’t stealing. They are fake and only care about $.

Ever saw Bon Qui Qui, from Mad TV. The store clerk who makes you feel like an inconvenience by your very presence. That's how I felt in this store asking information.

Lots of selections. The staff they usually have are very helpful but the last time I went in there wasn't anyone who could assist me.

Place is clean and tidy. I appreciate Odessa helping me find the perfect blonde wig for my skin tone, she is so friendly and was fun to chat with. Thanks again!

I live this place huge selection I be been 2 times and will be back. But I will say the first time they were much more attentive as the second time they were short staffed. Partially my own fault I'm not one for browsing I know what I'm looking for when I go. Lol I never leave empty handed and usually walk out with more then what I came for. Anyways see y'all again soon!

If I could give this 0 stars I would and that's because of the security guard. Every time I enter the store he would leave his little station at the front and follow me around. Every single aisle I go to he would follow me and he was not even discreet that's the worse part. It's as if he wanted me to know he was watching me. The people at the cash and the girls in the store are always courteous but this guy needs to check himself. You don't get to think someone is a thief because of the colour of their skin. I am pretty sure that I make way more money than him walking around the store and stalking customers lol. I like supporting small businesses but from now on I would rather make Jeff Bezos richer. I use to live in Brampton and that would never happened in the Brampton beauty supply stores.

The store is wonderful, you can find a lot, but working personal staff could be better, should be more helpful.

Lots of variety but they could have a bit more. Prices are fair and some sale prices are great.

Asain owners have terrible leadership skills and I heard they treat their employees bad. This store has what you may need but does that mean we ignore lack of respect for beauty?

I walked into the store, someone walked up to me said nothing just pointed me with a finger towards the hand sanitizer, I was not greeted and no one said hello, the attitude of the people in this store was so poor. I was made to feel like I did not belong in the store. I went over to the makeup looked around I went up and down each aisle, and then twice down another aisle. Not one employee said anything to me, not one word, worst experience ever in a store, they didn't even ask if I needed any help. Shame on them.

Finally a place I can go to and not have to worry about spending a fortune on a couple items. Instead I spend more on what I need at the best value.

You stand in line for long enough bc of the COVID just to put back the on-the-go grabs and leave the store bc you couldn’t find what you came for and was ignored even though you asked specifically for guidance. Reconsider your choice of beauty supply store.

I've encountered the asians ladies (I believe the owners) a few times and they were never helpful. I had multiple items to get and they would just ignore me. Once I got her attention she just said no to all the items I had on my list, which is understandable because of the shortage in stock due to the pandemic but when I asked her to show me where the hair bleach was, I found what I needed even after she said it was sold out. Its easier for big chain stores to get their inventory for cheaper, spend the extra $2 and support the smaller businesses.

Their Website said they carry springy afrotwist (Xpression) but they did not have any in store (they had Passion twist instead). I Lined-up for a product that did not exist. Call before you go to the store next time.
But must say, they were well organised for COVID (gel, mask and kindness)

I visited the store for the first time on Wed, May 20th.wow! What a selection! I normally cross the border as I live beside it, however Clore will now be my go to store, and definitely worth the drive.prices were great too.the woman who was letting people in the store and sanitizing was very friendly as was the woman who checked me out (she gave a few freebies too) however, the woman who was by the wig room? Was not friendly at all, also she was standing over my shoulder watching me like a hawk.it was a very uncomfortable feeling.on a side note the Outre melted lace wig in "Aaliyah" which I bought from them is sooooo bomb!

They don’t have as much of a variety as before. But the once that they do have are very good products

I really like this place I only went there once by would like to go back their prices are really good and they have a big selection of anything you need for your hair. I did buy a hairpiece so I can make a longer ponytail by still haven't put it in yet and my fiance didn't pay attention when the lady showed him LOL I have long hair anyways I just wanted it Fuller

Not many hair supplies.they mainly focus on extensions and wigs. The staff also knew very little about the items in the shop which wasn't very helpful

My daughter loves it! Great staff and very reasonable prices. I never argue with her when she tells me she wants to go to Clores.

Love the store but the cashier was not helpful at all and she was rude, once i figured out what I wanted and helped myself she just gave me attitude when I bought everything

Nice location. Store associate by the name of Marvelous was very helpful and polite - she knows the true meaning of customer service. Will come again only because of her.

Walking into the store I was absolutely amazed how many products they had for my hair. They have variety, as well as their prices are better then Sally's Beauty Supplies. The exact same thing I normally buy is literally half price. The only reason why I'm not giving this five stars is because the customer service was terrible, as no one greeted us or even offered me and my friend any help when we were in need of it. Some of the staff seem to walk to the back corner where the wigs were to talk to each other, or they were just walking around. There was one girl who was cleaning, but I found it disheartening that I really needed help and they would just walk past you like air. However, I think the biggest turn-off about this place is when you walk in the kind of music they play is such a turn-off that it makes you want to walk right out. But they had so many products that I need for my hair that I tolerated it. Honestly if you're coming from out of town, just order online. Unless you're ordering a wig, and or hair then go in store because you should definitely view the product before buying. As well as their prices for hair are a lot cheaper.

This store is a MUST in this area.wish they had a St. Catherine's location so I wouldn't have to drive 45 minutes just to buy some products

Alot of variety at this location. My daughter got the hair extensions she was looking for. Very reasonable prices and a lot of choices. The staff are always friendly and willing to assist you with your purchases.

Clores has been a blessing In my life, so many great options for lace fronts and great products in store. The employees are very nice and always help me find what I need

I come here for my eyelashes they sell the best quality ones and SO affordable. I also like that even tho I’m Caucasian walking into a what some call “ black beauty store “ I’m never judged or looked at funny it’s a very welcoming store and there’s so many pretty girls that shop here! And I love buying my boyfriend all his hair and razor products from this store since he is mixed, so now he’s been more comfortable with his own hair. Great store amazing products

Please hire more people during the day It’s a busy beauty supply store for God’s sake haha: p, & take off the silver stickers that are at the bottom of the aloe vera and Shea butter containers after people purchase them, because I’ve walked into some stores and had the alarms beeping because you geniuses‍️‍️‍️‍️‍️‍️

Was here for about an hour and spent over $280 on products and wigs. A sad cashier named Lynn was upset that I spent too much time in the store.
She's rude and disrespectful but clearly a nobody with a bit of a power. This has never happened to me in any stores before so if the owners are reading this, you may want to speak to this person. She needs her manners and sales skills updated.
I still wanted to purchase 5 more wigs and a couple of accessories but left as she made me upset. This is insanity of the kind I have never experienced. Obviously she did not want any more of my money!

Disappointed in the service but love my products which is why I spent my money.

Staff are helpful without being overbearing.
Let you browse, but around and helpful when you need them.which made for a great shopping experience. Great prices compared to a few of the stores I've been to in Hamilton. I will definitely be making this my go to store!
