Cluck Clucks Chicken & Waffles

Super kind lady that recommended us some really great dishes as it was our first time. Service was fast and friendly, dining area was clean, and the prices were amazing - I got the spicy as cluck slider with chipotle fries (never had chipotle sauce that yummy!) and a drink for only $14.40 (tax inc). Definitely recommend!

It was good fried chicken with seasoning and very mild spice. Not my preferred kind of fried chicken, because the breading was quite dark, but the chicken was not too dry like I expected.

The chicken and waffles was amazing. The guy at the counter with a nose ring was unpleasant and the reason they couldn’t get a 5 star.

Got delivery. Very disappointing quality and taste. Definitely do not get it delivered unless you want soggy bready limp waffles. Maybe tastes better in person but they also messed up my order so not coming back.

This three star reviews for the owner, NOT the employees. The employees were so hardworking and did the best they could. Food was hot, delicious, and tasted fresh. Tipped the staff too.

But what is the owner thinking? How do you put only TWO staff members in the store while you are the closest prominent / halal eatery next to Distillery District during holiday season?

The restaurant was crazy busy, all the tables that could be occupied (as per regulation) were occupied, numerous skip orders, and countless takeout and only TWO staff members?

I want to support local businesses but I have been to many other businesses with ample staff even with current shortages.

I don't know if I will be coming back here again. You don't do that to your workers.

Heard about this place of coarse because of some food page on Instagram. I have to say it didn’t disappoint me really. Everything tasted good, my only complaint would be I asked for half fries and half coleslaw but didn’t get any coleslaw.

Heard really good things, got one of the sandwiches. I thought it would be on a waffle but sadly was not. Sandwich was decent. Fries were cold. For what I was served I feel it was not worth the price I paid.

They had one guy working the kitchen and the restaurant was booked. But the food was absolutely amazing. I had the Cluck Yea and the creativity was out of the park, including the taste. AND ITS HALAL. This is the first time that Downtown prices were worth it. Highly reccomend.

Absolutely amazing! Chicken was cooked perfect and it was still crispy and juicy! I asked for it to be spicy and I definitely made the right choice. The seasoning was great and waffles themselves are one of the best

The staff are nice, and patient when it comes to ordering and making the food. I ordered a Son of a Cluck Combo, and that thing was craaaazyyy, cannot emphasize how good this spot is. The burger was beyond outstanding and the right level of spicy, and fries were a great pair to that burger. Definitely recommend, great spot to eat at.

Best chicken ever! My mind was blown from the first bite. The chicken is tender and juicy, the waffles are light and flavourful. The perfect combination of sweet and savoury!

If I could give no stars I would… this food is disgusting… the chicken is drier than the sahara desert and had absolutely no seasoning what’s so ever. 0 FLAVOUR!
The bun was so stale it was cracking and falling apart before I even bit it. It was so hard to chew and shallow it was a sin… every bite was so disappointing…. Not to mention the coleslaw.ew.

It was our first chicken and waffels ever. The service was very good. We got information on every dish and recommandations what to choose for the kids. The portions' sizes were good, and the food was very tasty.

Beyond expectation. I was bike-riding downtown and randomly chose this place to give a try and it was beyond expectation. Salty + sweet = heaven

I visited Cluck Clucks after a long time due to COVID-19. I live on the West End and haven't had a chance to go down for some time. I use to drop by occasionally with my friend. Whenever one of my closest friend from Baltimore comes back to town, we make a must to visit.

I took my family there and we had Ahmed the manager help us out. I've seen Ahmed over the past couple of years and as always he provided exception customer service. He was kind and caring and personally made sure the food was well prepared. I'd recommend Cluck Clucks to anyone in town looking for the best chicken and waffle in the city. They're quality far exceed any other restaurant I've visited in the GTA. Forget about Popeyes or KFC for your fried chicken craving, these guys have got it down perfectly.

Ahmed mentioned that they're opening up a new location in Scarborough. I'm looking forward to visiting it and checking it out. I'm also excited to go back to Cluck Clucks in the near future.

I went here to try halal Chicken and Waffles and I was left extremely impressed. I ordered the “cluck yeah” sandwich and it was delectable, I wasn’t sure what to expect before arriving but my expectations were blown away. The way the sauces complemented each other and everything came together was utterly amazing. The sweet and the spice came together to make a harmonious ensemble, one would describe it as poetry in motion. I am extremely impressed and will be visiting again for sure if i am in the area

Cluck fries are my favourite! Only issue is that they are always very busy and takes a while to get your food.but always good!

I usually give good reviews for newer restaurants but couldnt today unfortunately.what I got today was cold, no sauce, or barely any, no ketchup or condiments for the fries, also I ordered two combos w water but only got one water bottle. On top of that I ordered the delivery right near the Brampton location and both meals were fridged cold like it was made well before and the waffles were like mush. It’s up to you guys to turn around my first impression.

A classic spot for standard chicken and waffles, there is beauty in keeping things simple and this place does it best.

Took my bf here for some stunning chicken and waffles when we fist moved here. Wow oh wow.

100% waste of money
If you can't make a proper fried chicken just remove it from the menu!

The best chicken and waffles I've had in the GTA bar none.
My only gripe is that the sauce on the chicken sandwich is hot as hell. This had my stomach turning long after I ate the sandwich. Still incredibly delicious, just ask for a little less sauce or for extra coleslaw on the sandwich.

Amazing fried chicken sandwiches with dope fries and some fire cluck clucks sauce! Im telling you, dont sleep on em.

Really really really good food. The better fried chicken in the area compared to Popeyes. I love getting their fries too, they aren't just plain potatoes fried with salt, there is seasoning on them!
There is sometimes where the chicken is a bit too greasy but it doesn't happen often. The customer service is really nice, if you see the owner, she is super friendly and has noticed that I frequent and even tells me about upcoming promotions sometimes.

I am obsessed with this place. As a huge fried chicken fan (not really a fan of waffles tbh), I ADORE Cluck Clucks. The chicken is always so juicy with perfectly crispy skin. The prices are super reasonable too for just $7.99 for a two piece with a side.

The Cluk Yeah! Was quite delicious but probably better suited for a sit done experience since it’s a lil messy for eating in the car. The waffle was quite soggy and I was gripping hard to keep it all together. Their wedges are huge but I hope they introduce a poutine-like item which piles on their chicken on top of their wedges. The spicy chicken sandwich was also just ok. Service was quick and it’s halal-friendly.

Got the Hold the Cluck up and gotta say - SUPER delicious! It's sweet, tender, and crispy. I never had such a thing before but it sure is one of my favorite combinations now! Will come here whenever I would like to treat myself again.

Great options for chicken and waffles, and sides and syrups freshly made.

The waffles were nice - not dense or light. Soft and tender on the inside, with a crispy outer and cooked all the way through.

The chicken was super crunchy and delicious. The chicken could have been seasoned a bit more.

One is the best things though? It was served with maple syrup, not table syrup.

Second time here and they get a solid 5 star. I'm really picky when it comes to fried chicken. They cook their chicken to perfection, all their ingredients are fresh and their staff is always very helpful. There is plenty of seating including a nice open area near the front. I love that the kitchen is open concept so you can see them as they make your food. The location is great, right near queen and bathurst.

Best chicken burgers. Always so crunchy and their coleslaw is my fav. I have been here multiple times and would deff recommend it. Burgers are also decently priced. Just under $10 and chicken is bit portioned. Deff give it a try if you haven't yet.

I didn't have high expectations, but the chicken was surprisingly really delicious! The waffle wasn't anything too special, but was light and fluffy and complimented the chicken well. I got the cluck sauce which was pretty good too.

Great sauces, wanted a lot of food so opted out of the waffles and had just the chicken. Very fresh, not frozen which is a nice change from the chains. Simple good food.

Ordered through Ritual and got the 2-piece with wedges. What a meal! Big in size and tasted incredible and full of flavour! Would definitely come here again.

Can I get a Cluck Cluck or what? !? I absolutely love this place! Affordable chicken and waffle menu, especially their cheesy fries that I always get with chipotle sauce on top! I’ve had their “Hold the cluck up” (sweet waffle cone with cut up chicken and chipotle aioli sauce) and for about $5 you cannot go wrong The staff is so friendly and being a regular, they already know what I want Thanks Cluck Clucks!

The Twaco is a genius design where chicken and waffles are shaped into a taco. The portion is massive. The chicken was also made with juicy breast meat, which is something I love. The waffle itself was fluffy and light, while the veggies inside really balanced the fried elements of the dish.

The dish was really enhanced by the addition of the cluck sauce. It's best described as a sweet and tangy, and has a nice spicy kick to it.

Food was decent although really salty.

Order was for takeout and I had a baby waiting in the car outside so they saod 8 to 10 minutes to cook the waffles. Fair enough.

25 minutes later my food still was not ready (there was no line or anyone in front of me).

They burnt the waffle to the irpn and had to scrape it out and they seemed to not know how to work the waffle iron.

I first visited the Esplanade location and got the holy cluck sandwich. The portion is just massive, and the chicken is so tender and juicy.

Earlier today I stopped by the new Queen location and didn't find the service too great. From the moment I entered I inhaled fumes and could not find the air suitable to dine in, so we ordered take out. The portion is just the same. The waffle though was super spongee and altogether just very pleasant but the chicken didn't please me at all as it was dry. I ordered wedges on the side and found them very dry as well. I kept reaching for my drink because nothing I ordered made my mouth water. I'm a little dissapointed because the meal isn't cheap here, and I have been looking forward to eating here since I had heard of the new location. For now, I think I'll be sticking to the 1st location at Esplanade.

Crispy fluffy waffles studded with jalepeno bits and toasty cheddar made even better with juicy pieces of fried chicken and amazing cluck sauce.

I've had a good amount of their menu and all of it is good. If you want a variant on the standard chicken and waffles, do the twaco. At $13.09, it's a fantastic deal and it's also a lot of food. Described as a, "Boneless breast, shredded lettuce seasoned with zesty ginger, fresh lime and diced onion, Cluck sauce and finally, crisp tortilla strips, Jalapeno & Cheddar waffle. ", if you want to eat it like a taco, make sure you can lift. It's heavy. It's also delicious. It also doesn't leave you with that horrible greasy feeling in your mouth or your stomach. Another fun new item I've also tried is their Hold the Cluck Up (this location only). It's a waffle cone filled with what's essentially popcorn chicken and topped with sauce. They don't skimp on the chicken. I love that about them.

Everything is made fresh to order! It takes a bit of time to do, but it's totally worth it.

The food and service was amazing at this location! We came in with food passports and didn't realise that the offer was for another location. The manager however accommodated us with no issue he even gave us an extra sauce to try with our wedges! Ill definitely come back again!

The chicken and waffles portion was good. The fries feel like they were refried a couple of times before they reached my plate, and for some reason the door was wide open when it was -4 outside and everyone but the kitchen staff was cold.

Word on the street is cluck clucks has the best waffle chicken sandwiches. They aren't lying.

Juicy chicken topped with their wonderful sauce and coleslaw sandwhiched between a  jalapeño waffle. Doesn't get better than this. Absolutely loved and enjoyed this to the last bite.

This place has gone downhill. It has become extremely filthy and very poorly managed.
The food used to be the high point of this place but now all I can taste in their cluck yeah and twaco is just the coleslaw.
The customer service is non existent, they don't have proper seating space, and a bunch of ill-mannered people hog most of the seats busy on their phones long past when they are done with their meal.
The owners and management don't take any responsibility and don't have a system for managing seating. It isn't the kind of place where I would take my family and my kids for dinner anymore. Sorely disappointed!

Loved it! The food is hot, fresh and delicious and the service is excellent! We have tried their twaco and cluck yeah as well as the 2 piece bone in chicken with fries. The food is very filling.
The only downside is that there is not enough seating and no place to wait for the food or table.it can get very crowded and busy. They need to better organise their tables so as to accommodate more people.

Can't say enough about this place. Amazing fresh food, and the service is always above and beyond. The owner made special space for my wife and I to pray and did it with a smile. If you're attending the Toronto Christmas Market be sure to stop by. Much cheaper than anything inside the marketplace and only a short walk away.

Service was outstanding but the food nothing great. If you love chicken and waffles you'll probably enjoy it, but I think I've had my fill. I would love the option to have a thinner waffle. Just way too much waffle. The fries were dry and felt cold. Everything just felt dry, somebody needs to invent chicken and pancakes.
