I am completely shocked and thankful for the amazing Customer Service that my husband and I have recently received from CMLS Financial. We were going through a particularly tough period with family illnesses, dealing with cancer and bereavements, alongside financial difficulties with trying to pay for medical costs and schooling fees for university. We had applied to refinance with CMLS two months prior but were declined. We had also tried to raise the funds we needed through other loan companies, which only resulted in offers of ridiculous repayments and interest rates that frankly we would be unable to repay. In a final last effort to solve our financial woes, I decided to go back to CMLS again to pretty much beg for them reopen our previously declined file and to reconsider our application. The call was very lengthy, after speaking with a few departments, I was in floods of tears, but eventually was put in touch with Paul Kanellakis. Paul is an
Internal Sales Specialist, Residential Retention Team. I cannot begin to explain what a kind and compassionate member of staff this person was. Despite my upset And ability to even think rational at the time, Paul simply listened intently and completely understood my predicament and frustrations. He agreed to take on my file and to escalate things to a higher level, with a firm promise that he would do everything that he possibly could to helps us. I admit that I was still worried, they had already declined us a couple months earlier despite being a customer for 8 years with them and never missing a single mortgage payment. Within a day or so, I was shocked to get a call back so soon from Paul, earlier than we’d agreed, with the amazing news that Paul had managed to take the file to his director, and had been able to get a tailor made lending solution for us, with a fair interest rate, and with enough funds left over for us to be able to pay off all of our current debts and commitments. We got the all important approval! It was very overwhelming and within a couple days, the appraiser had already visited our home. Two days later Paul called me again to let us know that the appraisal was on target value, and we were therefore fully approved for the refinance, solicitors have been instructed and we close in December. No amount of thanks, gestures or hugs, could ever explain what this means to us. Without the pure drive and dedication from Paul Kanellakis, I have no doubt that things would be looking very bleak. Paul went way above and beyond the standard call of duty, because he truly cares about his clients. I would have no qualms whatsoever in recommending Paul or CMLS Financial for Mortgage and refinancing needs. The level of service far surpasses that of the typical high street mortgage companies. It's a mickey mouse operation with a joke for a website. Terribly slow to respond to me and my broker, I thought the funding wouldn't come through in time and stressed out for weeks waiting on them. My broker had to send several reminders, he too was panicked we wouldn't 'stick the landing' and was planning bridging options. I came for the rates, once they drop I'll go back to the Banks. Total second rate.
