I brought in a beaten up very favourite pair of boots to see if they can be rescued… Gary made it happen - between 4pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday when I showed up (earlier than expected). One of the last few leather shops around. While I haven’t had any repairs or alterations done to my shoes or boots at Coakleys (yet), I can still attest to their quality and values.

I sent a probably rather unusual email inquiring about vegetable tanned leather scraps that would otherwise be thrown away to turn into toys for my birds. While I expected either no reply or a straight up no, to my surprise, I received an email back saying yes and asking me to drop by to pick some up. When I came in, the man at the counter was assisting a customer. I decided to look around while waiting.

I’m certainly not as knowledgeable about leather as a professional is, but I still know what to look for in a quality leather product. The first thing I noticed was a passion, workman’s pride, and attention to detail I haven’t seen since my great uncle owned his own leather shop decades ago. Everything here is proper and will last a lifetime with proper care. Those $20 belts at Walmart won’t last 6 months, but $50 at Coakleys will get you a beautiful thick strap that will last multiple generations and will only get better with age.

All in all, Coakleys strikes me as an environmentally conscious business with years of experience and knowledge paired with strong values on excellent customer service, quality craftsmanship, and delivering the best product possible.

I went in to get my house key copied. The service was very quick, and the gentleman helping me was very friendly. They also have a great selection of leather shoes and boots which look like great quality. Overall, I left happy and my key works perfectly.

Every repair and refresh for the "bag" of boots and shoes I dropped off was done very well. They also made suggestions that saved money.

I came in and asked to add holes in my belt, he did it in seconds and insisted on not taking payment! Very friendly would definitely recommend it and come back in the future.

Had a boot from UK with a defect (blunted toe), cost would have been too high to ship back. They expertly rounded the toe and stretched the boot, fits perfectly now. They are masters of their craft, great service, efficient, good price and end product is fantastic. Very highly recommend

Incredible service provided by Scott! I came in with a difficult shoe polishing conundrum in which his knowledge and experience helped me out! If you have never used Saphir products before, the amiral gloss wax solved the issue! Great shop, clean and organized with great atmosphere music! Thanks again Scott!

As someone who appreciates fine footwear, look no further than Coakleys. I've brought them a couple of pairs of high-end shoes and was always impressed by the quality of workmanship and turnaround time. The only place worth considering in London, if you're in the market for dress shoes. I've bought a pair of loafers and Chelsea Boots from Loake through them, and they were able to redye the loafers which only came in brown, to black. They also stock Saphir shoe care products. I can't recommend Gary and Scott enough!

Helped me fix a leather strap of a hat that is very sentimental. You cannot even tell it has been fixed. Prices are more than fair & the work is quick. This will be my place of recommendations for anyone with shoe or leather trouble! Thank you again so much:)

So fast! So friendly! Very professional! Was in the middle of wedding events and needed the tip of my heels replaced, they were able to fit me in and even polished my shoes up so they looked perfect for the evening. I went here to get my keys cut but the guy working said that he can’t cut my keys for no reason.

I brought in my 550 new balances to get cleaned and they couldn't get the original off-white colour back (not their fault at all) ; HOWEVER they got the colour much lighter and more uniform so it looks like its part of the shoe! I'm very happy and still love the look of my shoes, which is all that matters:) If I have anymore issues with any of my shoes, I'll be bringing them here.

Awesome service a bit pricey but its 2023 so it is what it is. Gotta pay for quality and that's exactly what you get!

I promised the gentlemen at Coakley's that I would write this raving review but I have been waiting a long time for them to show up on my list to review.

The service was exceptional and the repair to my husband's favorite shoes was phenomenal!

My shoe needed a little bit of glue, 3 times. After the first time I was walking out the door and stopped to look down and I was followed outside by a lovely young man. We went back in for glue #2 (elastic band pic). That one didn't stick either (lasted a little longer than the 1st glue) but when I went in the 3rd time I was told they were going to pull out all the stops.you know what they say, third time is a charm and NOW it's stuck like GLUE.

Also, took two pairs of shoes for stretching in the toe area.great job.

Have recommended you to so many people. Will definitely be back!
