I would return at some point IF somebody wanted to eat coconut chicken hot pot.
But I wouldn’t crave to come back here specifically.
The coconut soup was delicious.
We were a group of 5,
I think they use 1 fresh coconut… the pot will come with some coconut meat and water ready to be boiled and they will open and pour 1 fresh coconut into the pot.
For sure they are using at least some “sugar added coconut water” in the pot
The beef was really really expensive! The price of 6,7 slices of hot po beef was $15.so after the first order of beef, we decided to just order an additional half chicken, with was only $17
It made no sense to eat more beef
We also had some veggies (4 selections) to go with the hot pot.
The menu boasted about hand-sliced hotpot meat, and it is $15.99 each. However, it was evident that the meat was machine-sliced, not hand-sliced as advertised.the slices of meat were excessively thin, to the point of being almost translucent.
I have always felt that the coconut chicken from Four Seasons in Coconut Grove is the best in Toronto. I especially like the freshness and sweetness of the coconut chicken soup. The new papaya coconut chicken is also delicious! And their claypot rice is also delicious! Hand-cut beef is also delicious
Very low key spot, we just stumbled upon it when we were walking in the plaza. The name coconut seasons kinda threw us off a bit but they specialize in hot pot. We ordered the chicken maw hot pot soup and it comes in a set with meat and veggies and clay pot rice. Through the amount of meat and veggies they provide in the set is not enough so you definately need to order more (priced per item). The soup was really good and hearty, and they give you a decent serving of meat per order. The servers are very attentive (they mostly speak Mandarin and English but some speak Cantonese so they were able to speak directly to my grandparents). It's not as crowded and busy as other hot pot places so it was great relaxed atmosphere. I came with a party of 4 and total came to around $120 with tip and tax, we usually don't eat that much but we were super stuffed after. Good deal and would come again
The $69 花胶鸡hotpot package deal is great. The fact that it comes with a casserole rice is definitely a highlight. The casserole rice was THE BEST one I’ve tasted in a while. 花胶量挺多,鸡挺嫩。I also want to give the guy server a five star. He makes sure our table is being taken care of. I can see it being a little pricy if there’s no deals going on. But overall a great experience and the food is worth it.
I ordered a set meal, which included half a chicken, a portion of vegetables, a portion of beef jerky, a portion of "fatty beef", and a clay pot rice with cured meat.
The soup is the same as the chicken, but the claypot rice is surprisingly delicious. The rice is both dry and burnt, which is really good. The biggest area that needs improvement is fattening the cattle. The first portion of beef that came with it had no fat at all. I called my sister over and asked about it. She said maybe this portion was the last portion of old beef, so there was less fat. You will know it by looking at the photo yourself. But the waiter was so considerate that he directly changed it for us after 5 minutes. Although the new relationship is not a bit fat, you can't blame your sister. He was the recipient of two quarters, so I didn’t ask any further questions.
All in all, it's basically normal. The beef could be a little better. $90 for two people. All are OK.
Went there at noon and the service was very good. I ordered the Double Coconut Hotpot and the Sichuan Pepper Chicken Hotpot. There were more Sichuan peppercorns than I thought. The Double Hotpot had about ️ six or seven pieces of Sichuan peppercorns. The double set meal includes one vegetable and two main dishes The lamb shoulder ordered on its own was very good.
Their coconut chicken soup is so sweet and so is the papaya and coconut chicken. It's very comfortable to have a bowl of hot soup on a cold day. The claypot rice is also delicious. The waiters are also nice and will help skim the foam from the chicken fat.
Healthy Bamboo Coconut Chicken Pot is really delicious! ! The chicken is very tender and the coconut is sweet. It is very suitable for eating in this season. It is very healthy and warm to the stomach.
The 2 stars given are entirely due to the service of the waiter and the waitress. Their service experience is very good. They came to help cook the chicken, add tea and dipping sauce, and helped serve the soup. The chicken was average, not outstanding, but still good. Eat, but I just want to ask the boss, do you call the plate of meat in picture 2 fat beef? ? ? Where is the fat? Does this cow of yours check in and exercise every day? It is recommended that the menu be renamed a bowl of lean meat slices, so as not to mislead customers who want to eat fat beef. I will not come here again next time.
Fish maw chicken pot is very good, tastes good and the chicken is fresh. The seasonings are also very authentic. Although the environment is not that fancy, I think it is neat and clean. The coconut jelly given at the end was quite a surprise. I didn’t expect that there were snacks at the end. They tasted good too. But I think the overall highlight is the coconut chicken pot! !
I really love their chicken hotpot, it has authentic taste, it’s also a perfect place to gather with friends and having meal during winter time! Claypot rice is another I recommend must try with crispy rice on bottom:)
