If you are student looking for affordable rates then this is an ideal place to look into. Other than that, the staff were not friendly and they did the bare minimum in terms of service.

I went for my first cleaning, x-rays, and a check-up as a student at UofT and it was wonderful! They have a 20% discount for students so everything is fully covered and the dentists and staff are amazing:)

I went here to get a cleaning initially and all of the staff were really nice. My cleaning went well and when I later went in for a filling they also did a great job doing that, it did not take that long and looked like the filling was never done in the first place.

I've been going to College Street Dental for approximately 7 years. If you want honesty, patience, friendliness, straightforward scheduling this is the place to go. No fancy gimmicks! Billing my insurance is a breeze and the people who have taken care of my teeth have a fun sense of humor and respect. Parking is tricky around this area so I'd suggest getting here early. Friendly staff and amazing quality of service! The hygienist went above and beyond and did a great and very thorough teeth cleaning job. An x-ray was done to see if there were any underlying issues and the dentist was very helpful in answering any questions that I had from the x-ray results. I'm a student and College Street Dental was able to directly connect to my school's dental insurance plan so I didn't have to file any additional paperwork afterwards. Will be back and definitely recommend!

I had a pleasant experience with Dr. Cheng and his staff. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable by the nice clean environment of the office and the friendly competence of Dr. Cheng. He explained the process into details and greatly eased my anxiety. By following his professional advice, I had no pain, no swelling face and no other uncomfortable symptoms after the wisdom teeth extraction procedure. Highest recommendation to Dr. Cheng and his staff.

Such an amazing clinic! They do so much. They are so accommodating and have reasonable prices (and if you’re a student, they connect with your school’s insurance so easily, unlike the other dentists I been too). I had the pleasure of Dr. Dao removing my wisdom teeth on a short notice (I literally was able to make an appointment the day after I called) and he was so kind and explained everything so well! He made the experience fun even though I am a super nervous person. I went to the clinic several times for cleaning and filling but I was scared to get my wisdom teeth removed. He made sure I was comfortable and had no pain at all during the procedure. All my other experiences at this clinic was amazing as well! Thanks to this clinic, I now love going to the dentist!

I’ve been to College Street Dental twice now, and have had a great experience both times! Calling to book and reschedule appointments has been simple and hassle free. The staff are extremely friendly, and when you tell them you have a particular sensitivity or discomfort, they adjust what they’re doing so you’re more comfortable. Definitely recommend!

The dental office is conveniently located at Spadina and College. The staff was friendly and made the whole dental visit quick and easy while being professional. If you're a student make sure to check them out because they are part of a student discount program! My dentist, Dr. Dao Le, was the most friendly, and caring dentist I have met. Looking forward to my next visit!

I did scaling (teeth cleaning) + polishing, x-ray, complete exam with College Street Dental.
Now that I'm seeing GSC everywhere claim history, without student dental insurance, student discount plan, it would cost me a lot.

I had a good experience with them since the front desk staff, dental hygienist, and dentist were kind and providing me the personalized tips (cut down the sweets, floss before brushing my teeth in the evening, etc) for my dental health.

They advise me to do filling for three cavities and pull out the wisdom teeth (for later).

Fantastic service, amazing discounts and coverage for students (especially UofT students) and great staff.

I've only ever had good experiences here, and I've been a patient for about a decade now. There are closer dentists to me, but I have no plans to leave any time soon.

Front Staff was very friendly and attentive with the guest.
Dental Surgeon is very good at what they do. They will definitely listen to what you want and need and give you the best advice. Also they are very gentle and you can definitely feel that they care, unlike other locations or dentist, they have a very heavy hands and you can feel it and it hurts, but College Street Dental exceeded my expectations.
Overall, you can trust them.

I’m getting my Invisalign treatment done by College Street Dental. So far I have completed three months of my treatment and it is going great. Booking appointments is very easy and they are flexible with schedules. Plus if you are a university student they provide student discounts on top of dental insurance which makes other treatments such as cleaning and wisdom tooth extractions affordable.

Recently switched to College street dental and had a few visit so far and it’s been a great experience! The office is very clean and staff are very friendly. Would recommend people to switch their dentist to come to this one!

Had a great time here, the nurses were really friendly and were willing to accomodate me when I was struggling with the X rays. The dentist did a thorough check up on me to figure out what my problem was until we discovered it. Then, I had two cavities filled; easily and painlessly. The dentist then explained in detail what I should do going forward to avoid my problem recurring. Everyone was super nice, highly recommend.

I have been going to College Street Dental for the past 3 years and I’ve always had a pleasant experience. The doctors and nurses are very friendly. I’ve always been greeted with a smile by the reception. And the best part is the direct insurance billing which saves me a considerable amount of time.

Excellent Experience! I come to this dental clinic during my 5 years university life. They have all kinds of operations for dental and very professional. Front desks are super friendly when booking appointments. They do direct billing to UHIP, so super great for student. Price is also reasonable and transparent， always have discount for students. And Xray exams for us are free! They are very strict on COVID protocol, so no worry at all. Make sure book appointment early by phone.

Have to say thank you to Dr. Edmund Lee, who literally changed my life and make me smile confidently again! I am too shy to say this in-person but he is super professional, friendly and the one who really wants to help you with his profession. You can see he really cares about you and love this job. They had reached out and addressed some problems that I had listed. I'm glad to see that health was their priority and they acknowledged what happend, and were willing to do all they could to understand and fix the issues. I was initially perplexed and upset, obviously, but I'm happy with the way they handled this.

I had a good experience with my wisdom teeth removal but recently idk what hit them. This one doctor told me I had 6 cavities that you can 'only see on the x-ray'. Given my history of good oral hygiene (brush 3 times a day, and floss at least once a day etc.) I was very skeptical. I allowed them to fill 3 because I had to get some other work done at the same time anyways. But this doctor (who will remain unamed for now), let water drip down my face, spray water into my eyes, was the first to tell me she had trouble with my tongue, and LEFT BUMPS ON ALL THE FILLINGS. I also raised my hand because I had trouble breathing during the filling but she pretended not to see. Then I've been having bad breath (the kind you get with wisdom teeth removal bacteria) from the fillings. Absolutely disspointing, esp knowing they'll charge me a bunch to fix the problem they so clearly caused.

Really great service provided here. Staff are always friendly and ensure that you're utilizing your dental insurance as best as possible. Also if you're a student you get additional savings from their in house discount! They were also really prepared the moment they were allowed to reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic. Got cleaning and fillings done here and the experience was much better than my experiences at other dentists. The staff were all nice and I always felt informed about what was going on. Also they accept student insurance and are easy to get to by TTC.

Have gone to College Street Dental several times now, and I've always found the space to be clean and inviting. The staff are friendly and helpful; I've also never been kept waiting for my appointment which is a nice change for medical appointments. They're very accommodating with booking as well. Would recommend to anyone in the downtown core - a very convenient location right by College/Spadina.

Went here after the lockdown and they had proper distancing measures and were extra careful with sanitation. Got my teeth checked out and had a lot of x-rays done which my previous dentist did not do which was interesting.

I had a filling, cleaning and got a mouth guard for myself. In all three appointments the dentist and the front staff were great, they let me know exactly what they were going to do and how much it would cost. However, I would have appreciated if they told me the amount as it was changed from the quote they gave me because of my insurance.

You guys are amazing! Very honest and talented dentists. If your a student, I highly advise you go here as they offer yearly cleaning and check up for free!

The overall experience was great from the front desk, to the dentist and dental hygienist. Only reason I am not giving 5 star is that I wish the dentist or dental hygienist would provide more personalized tips to my dental health. However, I still highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for dental work.

I have been a customer for 3 years now, and I have been with different doctors and hygienists. I have only had cleanings and fillings done, but I have not yet had a bad experience with them. The doctors are really good at what they do and the wait times at the clinic is very short. They also give discounts to students which is the main reason I decided to try this clinic in first place.

I have been going to College St Dental for the past 4 months as I am completing the 6 months smile braces. I am overly pleased with the results and have achieved perfect teeth in such a short period of time. I’ve been going to College Street Dental for around 4 years or more and I’ve always received friendly service from both the administrative staff and the dentists. The place is very clean and the environment is warm and inviting. They provide timely reminders via text and emails, so I never forget an appointment.

Had a filling done here for one of my front teeth. The dentist accidentally caught part of my good teeth and scrapped off a chunk of it. The dentist didn't address or acknowledge it and I had only realized the next day. Unfortunate for me, I had a tooth that needed an extraction and implant. After being a patient there for 4 years, the dentist told me I would be charged $60 for a consult, but the receptionist charged me $130 for it. I told the front desk the dentist told me the consultation is $60, but the receptionist said well it's charged through your insurance anyways, so you don't have to pay anything. At the same visit I brought up the accident that occurred to me during the last filling. The dentist (a different one) simple ignored it.

Can't believe it took me so long to post about this and realize how this is not right. I was just in disbelief this would happen. Will never set foot in this place again.

I will admit planning my first visit was a little harrowing, mostly because it seemed like not every receptionist had all the same information. That being said in person they have been nothing but helpful and friendly. I have no gone for an extraction and a cleaning and was happy both times with how I was treated.

My surgeon was personable and took my concerns very seriously. In addition he made sure I was not alone while on the gas, and walked me through every step of my surgery to make sure I wasn't anxious about it. I appreciated the run down, and felt that it made me a little less nervous as I always knew what would happen before it did.

My hygienist during my cleaning was wonderful, and did the same walking me through. I appreciate as someone who is nervous at the dentist that all of the staff there took my fears very seriously and helped me to work with them in order to get things done.

The place is conveniently located just at footsteps from the streetcar stop, which is convenient. The staff at the front desk is very welcoming and managed to sort out my insurance in minutes. The personnel who took care of me was very professional and competent. I great dentist experience.

I see Dr Lee and she is super clear about what is happening, very generous with her time and efficient without making you feel like you are just another number. I went to this place for all my dental-related needs during my undergrad and I have never had a problem. Appointments are easy to schedule and they send reminders (which helps tremendously when you have a busy schedule). I've done wisdom teeth extractions as well as general check ups/cleaning here and everything always goes smoothly. Five stars for professional staff and smooth business operation.

Easy for UofT people, they handle all the insurance etc for you. Staff are really helpful and nice and even agreed to give me a grace period when the insurance company had made an error and was rejecting the charges. Had wisdom teeth removed and it went great. My only issue was that the doctor was swearing during the removal which was a bit stressful, but it ended up being fine, I recovered quite quickly and they even followed up with a call to see that I was ok. Definitely would recommend.
