It was ok. I rode through in my bike on Canada Day weekend. It was pretty quiet with a stream but otherwise, no super remarkable. The fact that it connects up the Highland Creek trail is probably the best aspect.

This spot is beautiful and serene only understandably if you've been here. A quiet nice spot with lots of seating and a nice small stream that runs along the parks lot. Bummer it closes early (10-11ish) and always be careful of the steep hill coming in/out I've seen a deer crossing there so just be vigilant as you ascend/descend!

Great park for hiking and cycling.
There are a few parking lots here.
Washrooms are open)
There are not any kids playgrounds here.

Great park for walking, running and biking. Not so good for roller blading as path is Crack and broken all over the place. Also currently under construction which closed the bridge that connects to Lake bike path

I was hiking with my puppy at the first time here yesterday. Great for kids and dogs. Lots of cyclists. It is a beautiful, quite peaceful park. Wonderful place for picnic and BBQ as well. Will visit here again next time!

Absolutely love the trails through this park. You can bike or walk almost all the way to the Guild and Rouge Beach. There is one area of paved trail that's inaccessible near the bridge to the Port Union area so beware of that. Breathtaking views of the lake to the south end of the trails and beautiful forest scenery all throughout. Great place for birdwatching or spotting deer. Enjoy! Pls remember not to litter? !

This trail has been my go-to-place for a walk. Absolutely love how the trail ends towards the rouge area.

My favourite trail in Scarborough. Hooks up to others and takes you down to the waterfront. Loads of birds to watch too.

Lovely park! Lots of hills and wildlife, beautiful stream runs through it and features lots of park additions like benches and BBQ stands.

This place is gorgeous in fall. I visit whenever I can but do not miss the fall. Sometimes parking your car can be challenging.
03 February 2022 10:32
Lovely trail by the river leading to the great lake. The views of the frozen river as you wind down on the trail towards the water are breathtaking!

Great walking park! Very nice walkways and calm space. Ends at Lake Ontario but you can connect to other walks and spaces from there if you want to keep going or just to enjoy the day.

Try to go to this park every afternoon other than weekends. I use a walker and this is a good place to get my excercise!

One of the best greenest and scenic park in Toronto. Park's naturally decorated trail connects with the great lakes waterfront trail.

I adore this park for walks. It’s quiet, the scenery is beautiful, and it’s wonderfully maintained. Ample parking and plenty of places to stretch out off the path, either on the grass or at a table. So glad I discovered this park recently. It’s my new go-to!
27 September 2021 14:35
This park is a very nice park to walk, run, or bike. Picnic is also something I've seen there but I enjoy being near the water practicing my sax.

Amazing place for picnic, BBQ and hiking, biking. The trail is connected to the beautiful waterfront trial. We really love to riding bike there. If you don't have bike, you can rent a bike in the park as well. Pets friendly.

Nice open space for bbq's and other gatherings, but no play park or splash pad, etc.for children to keep entertained!
Make sure to walk with your own chairs and food/drinks
Parking is very limited if park is very busy. Arrive early to avoid illegal parking.

Nice trail to walk or bike on; nowadays during this summer season it can get pretty busy. Lots of families visit and hike, very diverse groups of people. Some fish here as well.

It was fairly quiet in March 2021 though which was nice, however the ground was still icy and had to take it slow. Just have to be cautious.

Favourite aspect is definitely that it leads to the Port Union Waterfront area and trail which is one of my favourite places in the GTA. One more star just for this).

Would highly recommend this route (that connects Scarborough, Morningside area to Pickering ON).

Best park in Scarborough. It's 2.3 km hike to Lake Shore following the Highland Creek. My daughter loves to play in the beach. Ample parking lot for free parking. Ideal park for family barbecue.

Lovely park with lots of shade to hang out and have a picnic, play some cards, listen to music and BBQ.
14 July 2021 14:12
Beautiful trail with a scenic forest view. It connects to East Point front n Waterfront trail. Trail for hikers n bikers, share road and all shade flat trail until you hit the East Point Bridge. Parking is plenty and free admission.

Great trail leading to the waterfront. Very busy during summer weekends. Lots of parking spaces and the trail is almost 10km long.
04 December 2020 12:46
Lovely place for picnic, biking, just relaxing or taking long walks. I always enjoy each time I go for long walks.
31 October 2020 4:28
Some sections of the trail need repaving not patched up.the trail is for both cyclers and hikers.
11 November 2019 6:04
We visited the park on Oct 12,2019 for fall colors. One of the best places to watch fall colors.
The trail is very clean and clear. The trail leads to Ontario lake. We spotted deers in the trail.
The stream along the trail was pleasant.
The stream is accessible and could see few people fishing.
Photography lovers should visit this park as I felt the scenic places are that worth
Washrooms in the park were clean.

The park has a little access issues through TTC - the way to the park is a slope which makes wheelchair or stroller access a bit difficult.

Perhaps one of the best kept secrets of Toronto/Scarborough. Rarely gets crowded. Great place for large picnics, but there are no shelters though.

One of the best paved trails leading to lake Ontario shoreline and connects to rouge beach near Pickering. But many sections of the paved trail has been washed out by the river changing course and high water levels in the lake over the past 2 years (2017 through 2019). Alternative pathways have been made.
28 October 2019 4:28
Nice place with a long bike and jogging path along a creek. Can also walk down to creek when tide is low. Nice secluded location with lots of privacy.
15 October 2019 21:59
Great park. Bbqs and picnic tables available on a first come-first served basis. Beautiful path along the river, all the way to Lake Ontario that meets up with the lakefront trail. Lots of wildlife and short sidetrails to explore.
08 October 2019 2:29
Love this park. The trail leading to the waterfront is a nice walk.until you hit the Highland Creek Treatment Plant. Make sure to hold your breath hahaha.but then you get a wonderful and peaceful lake side view at the end of it all. It's great.
29 September 2019 2:06
Great picnic spot and trail for a leisurely stroll/run or biking. The trail takes you right down to the water which is about 2.5km. Have seen a few people fishing down the stream if you’re looking for a fishing spot.
01 September 2019 18:11
Great park for riding, paved trail all the way to the port union waterfront, beautiful views of lake Ontario.
26 June 2019 16:00
S*** 20 minutes ago I saw a 20 cm thin snake as I was walking down on the entrance road, I wonder if it was poisonous, first time in my life I saw a snake in Toronto.
04 September 2018 5:37
Really great park to hike and explore nature. Trail follows the river and there are many opportunities to get near to the water. If you continue along the paved path, it automatically connects to East Point Park and Port Union Waterfront Park. Can reach down to lake Ontario in about an hour at a good walking pace. Great for biking and walking. There is a lot of space available for parking. There is a lot of wildlife that you can see too. I have seen a deer, a garter snake, toads and species of birds including kingfisher, different types of warblers and shore birds. Many people walk or cycle along the trail throughout the day but it is best to visit in the evening or early morning. Can get very hot on a summer day.
