Colonnade Pizza

I fear the new ovens have affected the product. Convection cooking is not the same as traditional ovens. Honestly, with all the wood fired pizza places, I question the wisdom of this change. Its been a good run for me. 1978 - 2023.

Edit for 2023: I am really disappointed in the quality of the pizza recently. Less cheese and the taste was bland, the pizza was just flat. I do not know what they have done but this is not what I expect for one of my favorite pizza places. If this continues I won't be returning.

One of my favorite pizza places in the city, unfortunerly you are paying for the name. While the pizza is undeniably top 3 in my personal experience, there are much better choices for the price. In my mind this place is the epitamy of Ottawa style Lebanese pizza with the mass amount of melted cheese. What makes it so popular is also the staff, I feel at home as a 2nd generation patron of the place.

I'm not really getting all these reviews saying its the best pizza in town. Its honestly one of the worst pizza ive ever tried!

Not sure if we caught them on a bad day but the food was nothing short of aweful.

The garlic bread was just regular white bread, toasted with the tiniest amount of garlic on it.

Pizza was strange, dough was very heavy and everything had zero flavor.

Edible is the best i can say really.

Its also not particularly cheap so its not got that going for it.

Atmosphere was pretty depressing if im honest.

Waitress was nice enough but i cant recommend this place at all and i really dont understand the many many 5 star reviews.

My favourite pizza in town. Idk about the accuracy, but people claim this is "Lebanese pizza". If it is, it's the best in the city. Crust, sauce, cheese, toppings, all top tier. Very heavy pizza.

I grew up in Ottawa and thoroughly enjoyed their pizza in my teens. We moved back to Ottawa recently so we tried Colonnade again. They did not disappoint! The pie is delicious and the delivery arrived quickly. So happy my family also has a chance to indulge in their phenomenal pizza.p. S If you're a fan of pineapple on pizza then give it a try with the smoked meat. DELICIOUS!

We arrived after the usual lunch hour and ordered two pizzas from the menu. They were very good with thin crust.

A favourite comfort pizza joint for many boomers who grew up in Ottawa, but for me the canned sliced olives, low-grade pepperoni, and strange cheese makes me not want return. The iceberg lettuce based salad was also less than.

I’ve been corrupted by super fresh Neapolitan pizza it seems!

The pizza is great. Has a lovely respectful team. I like the vibe of the place too. Try once and not only you won't regret it but also you may become a regular too:)

In my opinion Colonnade Pizza is one of the best pizza establishments in Ottawa.
The quality of their pizza hasn't changed since I had my first slice years ago. Can't say that about most restaurants especially in the last year.
What makes this the best pizza in Ottawa. Quantity of ingredients they pile on the toppings. Quality of ingredients and their cheese is out of this world. Can't forget to mention their staff those ladies are wonderful.

This place is historic and I’ve been a customer for over forty years. The pizza is simply the best, always has been and always will be. This is pizza you could identify in a blind tasting event - and it gets shipped all over North America by customers who now live away and crave their ‘pizza fix. ’ (I had a bud who now lives in Calgary order 10 of his fav and they arrived expertly packaged by air delivery.) The staff is friendly and expert and the owners are gracious and engaged. It’s like eating at your favourite uncle’s place

I’m going on about the pizza but everything on the menu is great and it’s a super spot for family gatherings. It’s consistent great and does not disappoint.

I can always count on delicious pizza at Colonnade. When choosing to dine in, I can count on being made to feel welcome by the gracious hosts and staff. I believe they have been doing this for more than 50 years. They have to be good to have been operating that long.

Pizza is all about the dough and cheese but none of them was good enough. It was okay but nothing special that sticks to mind. I think this place is overrated.maybe it’s because of its nice staff and the atmosphere that is nice to try once.

I have been going here since university. Now my children go. Thick with an enormous amount of cheese pizzas. Always reliable, alway tasty, and always friendly. What more could you want from a restaurant? Accessible?

We ordered the meat lovers pizza this time and maybe I'm not as much of a meat lover as I thought. Not to fault Colonnade at all. That is why I usually order a combination. I love green peppers and mushrooms. Maybe next time I will try the Canadian. But if you're a meat lover the Colonnade meat lovers is mighty meaty.

Yummy food and it was obvious that lots of people love this place. There were doordash/skip people coming non-stop to pick up orders. My picky kids ate their spaghetti with tomato sauce. That's a big win. Their pizzas are yummy too. Highly recommend.

The one star doesn't reflect the quality of the pizza but rather the extremely poor attitude and rude demeanor of the staff. There is no indication that they value their customers whatsoever.

Wonderful dinner out food and service was great. My 90 year old mother was with us our server was very kind and mindful of our needs.

It has been many years since I last had the pizza from this location. Was absolutely delicious! Ordered through Uber Eats, was here quickly and was still nice and hot. Will be ordering again one day soon.

Pizza was alright but way over cooked. Crust was burnt and the cheese was crispier than the crust. Don't think I'll order from here again.

Ordered from them for delivery. The pizza was without doubt the best I've had in Ottawa. Very good quality all around. Not the cheapest, but quality is way superior. The food arrived very fast too, despite Uber Eats' GPS mixup. Overall, great pizza!

One of the best in town. A beautiful cafe with a lovely staff to serve. Quick service and good ingredients. You won't be disappointed. Ottawa specialty right there with Gabriels

I dislike this pizza place, it was very disappointing. The service wasn't what I was expecting, it felt like they just wanted me to get out. The food was soggy and I just couldn't stomach eating it.

BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD! NOT JOKING! Sorry for telling it it's that good. I actually crave their pizza and now only get it when were visiting Ottawa. Btw. We buy 2 or more larges and tell them we're bringing them home. They partially cook them for us so when we arrive we finish them off and they are amazing.

Some say this is the best pizza place in the city. Great homemade tasting pizza dough and lots of cheese. Can't go wrong here.

Visiting a friend in Ottawa and was hungry for pizza. And boy am I glad she decided on this place. I ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer, and a small meat lovers pie for my main course. The bruschetta was piled high on fresh french bread which was toasted perfectly. I offered my friend 2 pieces and in hindsight I'm glad she only wanted 1 piece because it was delicious. Best bruschetta EVER. The pizza was different, not your typical neapolitan. But it was divine. I'm still raving about it 4 days later. Now I am back in the states, wishing I were in Ottawa so I can get some more pizza and bruschetta. The service was fine. No problems at all and the restaurant was clean. Stop in and give them a try if you're in the area. You really will be glad you did. I cant wait to go back. Its noon now, and a 6 hour drive. I can make it by dinner time if I leave now.
