Columbus Centre

They are stealing people's money, I was doing fine at first, but then I wanted to cancel my membership, then they told me that I had an agreement with them and that I had to pay for 6 months, and they still continue to withdraw money from my account every month. It's a terrible place. If you want to go here, change your mind immediately.

A beautiful place with lots of activities and open space and gardens.suutable for all ages.and a gym too

The Canadian Mental Health Association held an outdoor egent there. It's a great space overall. Great atmosphere and parking is available and so much more!

A great atmosphere and nice space. The gym has different types of equipment and machines. A friendly environment and helpful staff.

I visited the athletic facilities. The squash courts with the glass back wall are much better than the ones in the basement. Overall the place is very clean and the facilities are good.

I don't know why the pool closes earlier than the rest of the athletic facilities. Also it is a bit on the pricey side compared to other gyms.

Great gym a lot facilities. Lots of variety of equipment. Pool, whirl pool, and the change rooms are clean.

Great place for Italian music, and a great place for exercising. I enjoy coming here frequently.

They have ruined this place bringing in the food dudes and other partners. Bring back the old Columbus centre and bring back your staff. Very disappointed

Swimming Pool, Squash Courts, Tennis Courts.the club has everything.
Parking is free for 4 hours too!

Attended a wedding last night. Five course Italian dinner. Spectacular quality food and service by The Food Dudes. Another gem found in midtown.

A great place full of Heritage and Italian culture.too bad that the current Board of Directors do not care and are planning to demolish it.but they can't.on July 25th, 2018 the Preservation Office of the City of Toronto has declared Columbus Centre a place of interest, therefore Columbus Centre has been registered in the Toronto's registry, as a Heritage place, in order to preserve it. The Italian Canadians Coltures, history and traditions are considered very important by the City of Toronto being part of the multicultural history of the GTA.

This Centre has a very nice outdoor space for weddings.
The inside area seems quite large with multi purpose use.

Went for Election Day, not much to do at the centre due to pandemic but a beautiful park behind! Nice Cafe too

Absolutely horrible how they are discriminating against people based on their medical status. My rating is actually zero stars because even a 1 star is too high of a rating. Me and my family have supported this facility for decades having had multiple celebrations in their venues and was a member at the fitness centre.now they basically threw me out like a piece of trash. Shame on these people. Now they are denying my children the ability to go swimming because they won't allow me or my husband to accompany them. I will never recommend this place to anyone ever again.

The summer kids camps is well attended, and our kids seem very much to enjoy the cooking classes.

Unfortunately really crowded and full of rude disrespectful people. I walked around for approximately 10 minutes and had multiple people tell me it was a reserved private park. A group was trying to film something and asked when we would stop walking by as we kept ruining their shoot, meanwhile we're in a park that was crowded with other people.

Management of the gym is awful. My locker was broken into and I was robbed. Happens a lot, apparently. No call back from the gym. When I called, I was given the runaround. The members are great, but the people who run it are the worst.

If you're looking for a place nearby where you can workout, they've got machines and free weights. Weekly passes, or monthly passes specifically for members who have someone visiting they want to bring with them for a short period of time should be an option. Come on folks. It should cost as much as it costs members per month and be limited to a 3 month period of time (3 passes) max. If you have to buy a guest pass every time ($15) for a months worth of visits, that's totally not ok. If you go 3 times a week that's over $130. Why?

Fantastic food and service for Winterlicious 2020. The lunch was excellent and well presented. Our waiter was beyond courteous. The restaurant is beautifully set up and perfect for a private event or romantic dinner. I cannot wait to come back and try the regular menu! Thank you Ristorante Boccaccio!

Phil at the reception was really amazing. Explained things clearly and was so eager to help. He encouraged me and welcomed me. The other lady with him was also very kind. I like this gym

Best gym in town. Newer equipment recently installed. Qualified personal trainers and nice people.

Very poorly set up. No.music, equipment is thrown all over the place, there is no place to walk. Not a welcoming place. Mostly old people use this facility.

Had 2 kids attend this daycare. Staff is very friendly and good with kids but their accounting dept is terrible. They constantly make mistakes and over charge. When you finally get a hold of them they make excuses not to return the money and give you the run around. For this very reason I would recommend if you go with this centre do not do any sort of automatic payments.

My children are no longer there yet the took money from our account without consent and now we're getting the runaround again to get our money back.

Had our wedding here. Amazing space and hands down, George, Sabrina and the entire staff are top top notch. So accommodating, so professional but personal. They turned their space to completely beauty for us. They really helped make the night special because the staff were so great. We had the staff partying! Lol. It was great. Oh and by the way. This is the only place where the wedding food is amazing. It's from the restaurant on site. Amazing amazing food. Trust me, I know. And in terms of cost for a wedding, there was no better deal anywhere. Not exaggerating. Best deal for all inclusive. Best. Anyway check them out. The art gallery is great too!

Have been a service provider to this center for years. People have always been helpful and accommodating, understanding of service personall.

Great community, amazing organization, lots to do all season, check it out if you live in the area. From music, to art, to restaurant, to out door activities, to gym, to yoga, to day care, classes in abundance for all your needs. Staff are super sweet. Highly recommended it.

Had the opportunity to participate in and attend a wedding.both ceremony and reception were held at Columbus Center. George (Jorge) was on point with his staff. He ran a tight ship.a bride's dream! He was accommodating, very professional yet so down to earth. The venue was lovely and the

Went there for a wedding, and it was very cool. Lots of sculptures around to see. There is also a fitness center on-site.

It is beautiful wheelchair accesible, lots of free parking. There is a gym in that part of the building, cannot not tell you the cost to be in the gym and i have not been in the gym. This place is masive i have not been to the the other parts of the buildint.

Beautiful open space. Came for a dance performance by DanzArts and I thought it was a perfect venue for the show, lots of cool art and history.

Attended a concert here in a remarkable space. A 3 tiered rotunda gallery. Sometimes referred to as Canadas little Gugemheim. The center offers fine dining, an athletic center and an extensive cultural and activities program that is remarkable.

The place is a little traditional, but is very casual, has some great food and a strong Italian atmosphere

3 hrs free parking for the members, others have to pay parking, Parking enforcement officer on site to issue invoice in the morning and afternoon, Free parking on weekends. Restaurant for Columbus centre members. Retirement home on site for senior citizens. Membership fee is reasonable. Ideal location. Very busy in summer time.

I live very close to it, and I'm Italian (from Italy), I've tried many times to find something good about this place that offers many great features for fitness, a nice swimming pool, a restaurant, bar and arts galleries, the only issue are the people who run this center.
Last attempt this past Sunday when we decided to see a painter (friend of us) exhibition and his collection was "booked' for a" private party ", a public art exhibition blocked off from the public, on weekends, do I have to add more?

This North York hub for the Italian Canadian community, at Lawrwnce and Dufferin, is an excellent multi-purpose cultural centre including dining options and display space for a variety of cultural and artistic events.

Nice space! Attended a private event, food service was good (high-quality banquet hall grade, IMHO).

Very interesting place! You can learn a lot about the Italian diaspora spending quality time with many cultural events (readings, screenings, exhibitions, etc.).

I worked at this banquet hall before and 5 others that look much more elegant than this one, but I can say this is the cleanest one I worked at, even the kitchen you don’t want to see the kitchen in the other places but here they even clean the cutlers again after the dishwasher we had to put them in vinegar and polish them again while wearing gloves they don’t do this in other places and the staff are all like a family they aren’t rude like other places they treat the workers nice, don’t doubt to come here and reserve it is really nice and the food is great and the desserts are delicious

The gym staff are a bunch of scammers, they neglect the "Consumer Act of 2002" they say it is not a contract but IT IS, BE WARNED. They lie and are very good at it. Please be careful, i do not recommend this gym at ALL.

Poor, just joined health club, steam room and shower was closed without warning, you only get 2 towels per person, real penny punching. CHeap old run down facilities
