The customer service was extremely rude spoke to Theresa when checking in and had bad attitude with poor English
The name should be changed to Discomfort Inn. The remote for the TV didn’t work and the heater was low my experience was like being at a 1 star motel once again STAY far away from this bed bugs dungeon! You can do better elsewhere. Thanks Theresa for a terrible experience!

I will never recommend this hotel to any of my Corporate partners or clients I’ve stayed here 3 times now
And this was the worst experience!

And 2nd they took 250.00 dollars from my prepaid visa card for the security hold and up till now haven’t returned my money. After speaking to brigette the owner she indicated it was a human error twice they made and nothing could be done

So don’t waste your time with this place you can do better at a 1 star motel this place is such a rip off!

Not impressed. Yellow pillows under the pillow cases, room felt musty and unclean (hair on shower wall), hard bed, noisy due to highway, overcrowed dining room at breakfast.

Staff very helpful as we left an item and was able to verify the item was turned in. The manager worked with us to get it mailed to us back home.

First visit to this location. The first room on the second floor was unacceptably hot due to a non functioning A/C unit. After a visit by an employee to confirm the problem, we were offered another room on the first floor and our stay was perfect. The breakfast buffet was also very nice.

1 night stay in this no-frills hotel to go on a Toronto Zoo adventure the following day.
We had a standard queen room. It was in line with what we paid. Room was clean, the pillows were small but we thought they were comfy. The breakfast goes from 6: 30 to 9: 30 which we thought was a bit too early to end it but we were happy with the offerings: eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, waffles, yogurt toast, pastries.
The guest staff were kind and helpful. Good stay overall.

Our room, and most of the hotel, smelt of moisture and mould. We opened the sofa bed in our room to sleep on and the mattresses had stains and mouse droppings. We were unable to get a refund and had to stay here, but unfortunately after this experience I will be shying away from any 2 star hotels.

Breakfast was available every morning, staff were helpful and pleasant.

Terrible contact. It’s been 3 weeks since our stay. Deposit is still not returned although they had 5 days on it. They stopped responding.

Check in was smooth, staff was very nice and helpful both front desk, cleaners and breakfast room staff. I think the previous reviews are cap, this is not The Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons. For its class, it’s a great hotel and I’ll lodge there again.

The hotel was good for the stay, not much issues except for the breakfast room. It is small. For a hotel of this size, the breakfast room need a larger space. I was there an hour before closing, had to wait in line and couldn't find a place to sit and enjoy the breakfast.

Very friendly staff. Room was clean and breakfast was very good as well. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Very close to the Toronto Zoo which was the reason I stayed at this hotel.

Some of the employees were exceptionally welcoming and nice.
However found one of the recognise and manager very rude abrupt unwilling to help. Wouldn't even make eye contact when I was asking them questions. After several times and over period of frw days continously asked for room to be cleaned. Still not happened Tey said to buy own cleaning products to clean the room.

Note: BED BUGS! We stayed here many times when visiting family before Covid- all of which were great experiences for a 2 star hotel. We went to check in last night and it was visibly more run down than previous times we had been there. We came to check in at 10pm but they did not have our reservation on file, even though we had it reserved the day before and had an email with a confirmation number, they said it had been canceled. They said they could still get us a room, and while we were waiting a guest came into the lobby from a room upstairs showing that he had bug bites all over his elbow and had a picture of bed bugs he had just found in his bed. They told him it would be 10 minutes for someone to come and vacuum his room- he demanded a new room all together, which they did provide without hesitation but that should have been the first response- a vacuum will not suffice and bed bugs in only one room is very unlikely. Needless to say, we left right away. We were grateful that this man came down when he did- a few minutes earlier or later and we may have found out the hard way, but also felt terrible for him. Posting so others do not unknowingly walk into the same scenario as he did and as we almost did.

Not sure if the rooms vary greatly in quality but I really don't understand the negative reviews. We got stuck on Christmas eve due to a snowstorm so we had to shack up here for one night. Room was clean, smelled fine, and was spacious with a couch, desk, nice sized TV, mini fridge and coffee maker. The breakfast was pretty good too with fresh waffle maker, eggs, sausages, and various pre-made pastries as well as juice, coffee, yogurt, fruits, etc. I just stayed a week in a Fairmont hotel before this so its not like I don't know 5 star hotels but this was a great value for the price in my opinion! Thanks!

I found it a nice experience for the two nights I stayed there with my husband. It’s not that new so the price was worth it. I will use these facilities again.

The room is big enough, its clean, the location is great and quiet, but the bed is hard and the pillow not the greatest, but at the price we pay it was anticipated

Firstly, the look of the hotel and rooms did not match the online pictures. It was definitely more dingy in person and gave sketchy vibes.

After checking in I want up to my room and found it propped open by the door lock, which I found unusual. As soon I entered the room I was greeting with an overwhelming urine scent and noticed the windows were open.

I went to the front desk to request a room change. They told me they were fully booked and did not have another room to offer me. The manager kindly offered me a spray bottle to clean the room and rid the room of the smell. I denied and asked for a refund.

The manager instructed the employee not to give me a receipt of the cancelled fees and said “don’t worry it’s cancelled”. I had to tell her that was unacceptable and I was to be given proof of cancellation to ensure there would be no charges on my credit.

Needless to say…. Would highly recommend this place be avoided.

Room is clean but have dusty smells all over the room. There is no complementary drinking water which is very disappointing. Need to include drinking water which is more essential. Breakfast is good there.

Room had a funky smell. Upon further inspection of the bed and behind the couch it is obvious that they do not clean properly. Hair everywhere and stains everywhere including what appears to be a urine stain.as well as gum stuck to furniture. Would not recommend.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. 1st floor room was clean. Lovely hot breakfast and the Jamaican lady managing this area was wonderful and thorough. Would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel with free parking. Close with the Toronto Zoo if you plan to go there. I checked in around 12 am since we are on road trip, but didn't find anyone at the reception. Waited for like 5 minutes until somebody help us. So far, we happy with this hotel.

I was supposed to stay for one night but when I went to check out I rebooked.paid and everything.
Went out and came back to a room that was made up (room service) all my things gone and thrown out!
So angry and then the front desk lady, Manerva, doesn’t know how to speak to customers.very rude and argumentative.
They said that my room is vacant and no details of me rebooking. Have to wait until the morning to speak to someone while my son starves because they threw out all of his food and milk from the fridge and his toys, etc.so angry right now. Ugh!

I’m a traveller and I’ve never stayed at a hotel where the bathroom wasn’t cleaned up from the previous guest. I noticed the sink was dirty or perhaps half cleaned and decided not to make a fuss but when I woke to grab a shower I saw the grime left on the tub. The concierge gave me a half-hearted apology without even looking at me. She faulted me for not bringing this to her attention sooner and offered me another room to get cleaned up in because the cleaning service won’t arrive until 9am. This is the same concierge that who checked me in and gave me the kind of customer service you’d expect from a busy restaurant in Chinatown. The basics are not met at this hotel. I’m sad to say this has been my worst hotel experience.

If I could give this place a “0”, I would. Customer service IS TERRIBLE! I walked in there this eve at 5: 00PM. The parking lot was near empty. Lobby- empty. I understand that this doesn’t denote the fact that they could be booked, however, it doesn’t excuse the absolute rudeness the staff exuded.

I requested a quiet room, away from the staircase. I’m a female, traveling alone on business, in desperate need for sleep. Their reaction, and two spoke at the same time, almost as though it was rehearsed, “ WE ARE A BUSY HOTEL WOMAN! Hockey, gymnastics, you name it, take your money elsewhere if you want peace guaranteed, woman! ”

My reaction. ”Wow! ”

And so I did take my money elsewhere, my extra $50 was well spent! Super 8 on Westney, not even 10 minutes away. Much better customer service! Greeted me with a smile, not an attitude! Sometimes you reall DO get what you pay for.

Not a happy camper no place to park and they did not care. 4 trucks in back. Can't get to back with a coach bus because snow not cleared properly from 2 weeks ago. They took booking for three coach busses and said nothing about parking. No place to park over night. After about an hour of calls found a spot but only after they close and before they open. So had to sit in bus in different places till I could Park. They Should have made a range ment for us ahead or say we can't take the booking. Would give 0 stars if I could. PRITTY BAD WHEN YOU HAVE A ROOM AND CAN'T USE IT.

Tonight I went to the Comfort Inn in Pickering to do a food delivery. When I got out of the car and started walking towards the main entrance I slipped on a patch of ice. I fell on my face getting a deep cut above my lip and a nasty bump on my cheek bone area. My glasses scrapped the ground when I fell. I also cut my pinky finger pretty bad and both my knees. I went to the front reception and I notified them of my delivery. There were two women there. I was bleeding so I ask for a band aid. The one woman at the front desk suggested that I go to the public washroom to take care of my bleeding. Then she gave me the band aid. First I delivered the food the the customer in room 218. The customer saw me and asked me if I was okay. Then I went to the washroom and saw how bad my cuts were. Once I cleaned up I returned to the front desk I asked for a manager. The one woman gave me the manager business card and said for me to call her "tomorrow". I was surprised to learn that no one at the front reception offered to help me. At this time there was a third woman. This is not acceptable customer care. The Comfort Inn should have taken care of putting snow salt so this would not happened to me or anyone else. When I mentioned this to the one woman at the front reception she replied " I dont know, I'm going to call the company that is in charge of the maintenance of putting salt". This is not acceptable. This should have been done before this incident to ensure the safety of people and avoid this bad injury.

I would give this place way more stars, but my last few minutes there were so disappointing. I parked my car around the back during my 1 night stay and decided to bring it in the front the morning of my check out because it was really cold and I didn't want to go in and out with my bags. The ladies and the front desk weren't not the same I had when I checked in so when I entered through the front they "followed" me while I was trying to find the breakfast room. Like I was going to cause trouble. She stop me and asked me what I was doing? And I said that I was looking for the breakfast room. She pointed in the direction then stopped me again and said "what room are you in? " I told her my room number and she said.ohhhh Because she thought I was some random person coming off the street. So disrespectful.
