Comfort Inn

Great location, friendly staff, housekeeping could be a bit better about upkeep but my room was clean at check in.

Was a Port Dover Friday 13th motorcycle rally. Really good coffee good breakfast clean rooms, friendly staff.

Had no issues other than the tiny breakfast room. Food was great but very little place to sit and eat.

Booked specifically as website said, "Pets are allowed. 20 per night. "

Arrived and reception said the room booked doesn't accept dogs. Only 4 rooms in the whole hotel are dog friendly and must be reserved ahead of time. This information is not on the company site.

Luckly managed to get into one of the four rooms.but ended up being downsized from a paid 2 queen bed room to a 1 double bed room. They didn't even refund for a cheaper room option.

The room was extremely musty and smelled. We had to leave the door open the whole time we were there.

The Inn is conveniently located beside multiple restaurants and grocery stores. This is the only reason I didn't give it a one star review.

The receptionist was unpleasant, and at times, borderline rude.

The room was so stinky we had to complaint. The receptionist came in and sprayed some air freshener and left. It did not help.

We ended up leaving after just one night (had two nights booked). The foul (stale, mouldy, dirty wet carpet?) smell was unbearable.

Our friends stayed in another room, the smell there was slightly better but still present.

There were other issues, but this is the main one.

I would not recommend this place.

BAD: Very humid in a room and has a strong bad smell, we opened window and turned on ventilation but it didn’t help at all. Also ventilation in a bathroom working bad or not working at all (just making noise) shampoo & conditioner was empty (probably for a long time). Not nice or rude stuff, customer service 3/5
GOOD: has AC/heater (loud), hair dryer, TV, microwave, fridge, iron, good wifi, breakfast from 6-9am if I’m not mistaken

Brakefast problem to big lines when our turn came nothing left they charge same money

If you need a place to stay it isn't bad. The room does have a third hand cigarette smell.the curtains are not blackout and the street light is bright. The AC unit is loud.there was no breakfast served at 8: 50am on a holiday when breakfast is suppose to be served until 10am.staff said everything was gone.

Stayed in room 228 for two nights for the weekend.
This hotel is well located, with most restaurants within a five-minute driving range.
The hotel is aged but fairly maintenance status. Free drinks and paid snacks are available in the lobby.
The hotel owner or the investing company should look into the management, especially the top manager.
Housekeeping needs to do its job. We found three toy cars, one pair of socks, and one empty bottle in the room. The faucet has V. S. P. O.lime scales when you lift the lever. The room itself smells mouldy, mixed with cigarettes. BTW, this is supposed to be a smoke-free hotel.
Front Desk is cold. A male agent checked us in with no greeting, no smile, just doing his job. He explained everything we needed to know. When I brought the three toy cars to the front desk on the morning before we checked out, a young female agent listened to my situation and said, "I am so sorry, " without asking for my room number. She wants me gone and doesn't care.
The only highlight was the breakfast lady, who was always busy and welcoming the guests. She is the reason that I give 2/5 for service.
Overall, it is a good location with the basic facilities you need. But it can be better with a more responsible management team.

The beds and bathroom were good. We had been at local BW hotel night before were beds were too hard. Breakfast is included. Quite a decent one. Full points except that I had to stand up while eating, first day, as there are only 3 tables and 2 chairs each table for the whole 2 story hotel. 2nd day got a seat.

I haven’t stayed hear inquired about a one night stay and got told I had to book for two nights. I believe the comfort inn is a chain and have never heard such a thing. Since when can do someone dictate how long and how much you should spend.

A very bad experience since the employee Mark at the desk has racist and offensive attitudes. Telling us that my colleagues and I pee in the corridor outside the room without having the evidence seems offensive and disrespectful to me, it is not the first time who has that behavior since we have been here the last 4 weeks

Rude front desk employee, rooms not worth the price. Beds will give you back pain.
Wifi speeds from 2010, asked the front desk if there was an issue with the wifi and given a number to call their internet service provider to deal with the issue myself.
Surprised they don’t ask you to clean the sheets in the bed yourself.

Very convenient area of Norfolk Ontario.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Beds were comfortable and cozy. Free breakfast had good choices.

Room was musty. Deodorizer did not help. We had to sleep with window open. Do not rent Room 217. The breakfast and the staff were wonderful. Hence the 2 stars.
