Great TCG experience there playing at locals. The staff were all nice as well as the players. Definitely come to this card shop if you want a chill and laid back battle experience.

Make this the be all end place to get MANGA, i can't tell you how annoying it is going all over the place to find a particular manga book from downtown to almost all indigos. I always hit up these places and they all have the same selections.

I would really love the full set of slam dunk, vagabond, dai dark, all you need is kill, My Dearest Self With Malice Aforethought, (maybe some aren't out yet)

It's a lovely place, nice prices, great people, good collections. Middle of nowhere, though if you don't have a car, be prepared.

Went there with my son as we were looking for magic the gathering cards. The owner was there and offered great service. He went above and beyond and showed my son and I some amazingly rare and valuable magic cards. The store had everything we needed and we were able to get cards that weren’t at that location shipped from their other location. Highly recommend it!

Nice new place. Offered a very generous flesh and blood event, and snacks are reasonable price. Even offered me a playmat to use since I didn't have one. Slightly more expensive then events elsewhere tho.

We stopped in today and had a really positive experience! Our three year old was made to feel welcome and two older boys are super excited to join in the March break event on Thursday.

Staff is very friendly and I've known some of them since the place was Comic Connection. New location is clean and has a lot more play area. I've introduced my friends to the store as I thought it was good and we have been buying cards and boxes from them for draft, cube, EDH, and different formats. My disappointment comes when the owner did not honour the prices listed in their website. When you make an order and it's ready for pickup, you expect to get your order for the agreed price. Instead I get told that the "price spiked" and that I had to pay the new (discounted) price of $40 instead of the old price of $15 or my order will be cancelled, and that it is stated in their Terms of Service. It's not fair to tell your customer to pay $40 when the price is $15, make up lies that there is some known price spike, and accuse you of trying to take advantage of them. Prices change, fine, but a decent store would honour your purchase. I would not recommend supporting this store.

Went there for a 20$ MTG draft. Good play space, but expensive draft considering the prizes suck. Going X-1 didn't get me anything.

I've been a semi regular at ETB since 2017 when I started playing Magic the Gathering with friends. I've had the chance to experience the store under new and old ownership and I just want to say I've been blown away with how the atmosphere and quality of service has improved. I have nothing but good things to say about the store and I'm always happy to recommend ETB to friends when they're looking for an LGS in the area. I always feel confident that they'll get the service they're looking for.

The employees are friendly and knowledgeable, and the staffing increases have really made a difference during peak hours. As well, I love the new chairs and tables! What a big difference it makes when you're going to be playing for hours.

Keep up the great work guys!

This place is great! Its got a large selection of various nerdy hobbies/interests and really knowledgeable staff to help you find what you’re looking for. From comics to cards they’ve got you covered, its definitely my preferred place to go when I’m in Oakville.

Excellent store that offers a tremendous customer experience. I've purchased from here multiple times, and even sold a large card collection to the store. All of which went very smoothly and kept me coming back.

If you're looking for a place to play, their gaming space is large, comfortable, and definitely recommended as well.

If you want just another run of the mill card store for Magic: The Gathering, this is a fine one. The employees are good at their job, but I truly miss the uniqueness of the store under the previous ownership. I understand the owner wants to focus on their website, but I was so much more enticed to spend money when the prices were on the cards in the case and the commons/uncommons under a dollar were in the back. Building decks is such a hassle now if there is more than one person up front.

The changes to the store make me feel more like a number than a human. But if that's ok with you, more power to you and I hope you enjoy the spacious gaming area

Edit: this review was not posted until after the termination of the employee as we feared a negative review would end up jeopardizing the employment status of the employee in question. I have held these beliefs since the new owner took over the business.

I stopped in tonight to pick up some comics for my classroom for the kids who have been showing an interest in superheros. The man at the front counter when I walked in at 5: 00 pm was super friendly. The prices were great and there was alot to choose from. It was a lovely shopping experience and I will be sure to be back when they open up the new store to pick up some more:)

Store manager is pretty tight with giving out deals. I purchased $270 with of pokemon and magic cards with the kids and wife. Did not get $1 of a discount on anything after we asked. Ive been going there for years and usually spend $50-100 every couple of months on packs and don’t forget about the sleeves for drafts. Time to take my business elsewhere.

Best game shop in Oakville. But I came in a little early today, they were still closed. All good, I came back.

GREAT PLACE, all the staff have always been very friendly and super helpful with questions and advice especially about magic the gathering, with just an overall great time and experience.

I had an excellent experience today with the owner, Jay. I had come in to sell some of my old Magic cards, and Jay made the entire process very pleasant. I've had bad experiences with comic / game shops in the past when it comes to trading in used items; pushy or disinterested staff, and getting pennies on the dollar for trade-ins (looking at you, GameStop/EB Games). This was the complete opposite of those stores. Jay spent over an hour going through my card collection with me, chatting happily about everything Magic related. It was clearly explained how the trade-in value and condition scoring worked, and I was given very fair value for my cards. I received my e-transfer payment just a few hours later, on a Sunday evening no less.
Absolute 10/10 experience for anyone looking to trade in Magic cards.

Fantastic! This place is great, it's probably my go to place for Pokemon or MTG decks and releases. The staff and owner are very friendly and can usually start up a conversation with them about anything. I do plan on attending one of their events night soon, I am very new when it comes to playing MTG and would love to get out there and play and feel this would be a good spot to do that. Besides MTG/Pokemon items they have board games, comics, graphic novels, guides, funko pops, the store is huge with lots of variety! I once dropped like $1500 here for pokemon sets, it was way worth it, now I've moved on to playing MTG and like I've already said - their selection is just amazing.

Comic Connection is a great store and the centre of the local community in this area for cards and comics.

Morpheus is the man, always deal with him to trade in cards and it’s the best experience, reason why I always go here rather than anywhere else. Probably the most invested expert in Pokémon at any hobbyist store I’ve been to and knows literally everything you’d ever need to ask. Super cool, friendly, eye always out for the best products. As the store expands I am super hopeful the Pokémon counter will as well. Now that ETB has bought out Rich I’m thinking there will be more sealed Pokémon products too which is what I’m excited about. Old Pokémon packs might cost $20, $30 but I really hope Comic can start carrying them.

Niko is really friendly and been there ages for Magic. I don’t play or buy it but he’s always friendly and chats with everyone on any topic when you’re browsing.

Rob is great, always greets everyone coming in, knows everything for dates, anything about the store, when to come in for trades, Pokémon, magic, even though he’s more of a comics guy. He’s really helped me to never forget my wallet ever again! Banters with everyone once you get to know the place. Really makes the whole store feel like your home base for hobbyist stuff.

The new guys are great, I haven’t gotten their names yet but they’re all very friendly. The guy who does manga always comes up to ask folks if they need help. Manga is a cool thing to expand into, makes sense, Comic had a much smaller collection in terms of total comic space but it’ll be cool to see some real manga stuff in there you won’t find at chapters, hardcovers, etc.

Been going here for years, as a kid at the old location, now at the current, and will continue as they move again to the new spot! The new owner Jay seems to love the community and want to expand the store across the board. I’m super excited for the new location. Their pricing system is new and updates a lot, and is usually cheaper than every single store. I mean across the board, find anything at any store and it’ll be minimum 50 cents cheaper here. Don’t see any reason to not just come here and grab it and save the shipping too.

Long review over, but Comic Connection has always been my home base, and probably always will be. Everyone here is great, super friendly, the store is locally owned small business with prices that rival and beat big box stores, and the atmosphere is great no matter if you’re a hardcore expert or just looking to grab something for your kid. If you read this review looking to find comics/cards/DND/events/etc, don’t second guess yourself, go check out the store. I absolutely love this place

I wanna start by saying this review is temporary. I have high hopes for a lot of the changes moving forward, though saying that the sudden and dramatic changes that have already happened weren't jarring would be a lie. I think one major issue is the hyper specialized staff. It doesn't feel like there's been a lot of cross training, if any, so when you go in and have a question you gotta cross your fingers and hope the right guy is in to answer it. Still, I'm going to keep going, and would still recommend the place to others. They have a great selection and usually what they don't have they offer to get/order as well.

ORIGINAL: One of the best experiences I have had in a store. So much so that after leaving the first time, my girlfriend said she has never felt more comfortable in a store, a common issue that she finds in other magic and comic book related stores. The staff are very friendly, and kind to helping out, and are great to just chat with about any of the related hobbies in the store!

EDIT: While my original 2 year old review still stands, I am super disappointed that the store pricing system for TCG singles has changed to a generic BinderPOS system. I used to drive from Hamilton and it’d be worthwhile because you guys would consistently have the best prices, but now its no different from any other store (and unfortunately I found the few cards I asked about dollars more expensive than my regular LGSs I visit) which will make my trips far fewer, if any. I totally understand having to keep up with others in the market (I have good relations with a few LGS owners), but its unfortunate that the change had to happen. I wish you guys success in the future endeavours.

I really appreciate Morpheus immediately addressing me as I came into the store. I am fairly new to comics and he honestly gave me a great variety and description of comics I would like based on my interests. I can’t wait to come back

When given time to travel west, I definitely will periodically stop into Comic Connection of Oakville. I have done business since the store was in main st to their bigger store. I have added so many graphic novels and Funko into my personal collection. They carry almost every imaginable collectibles and will help you special order if need be. Lots to look at and be prepared to be bewildered! They have teams of specialists if you're into toys, Magic, or comics. Stop on by! You won't be disappointed.

Nice looking shop, was very busy and seems active in the card community. Huge section of back issues. Fairly priced.

I have gone here a couple times so far. They have a big collection of back issue bins and I've found some of the issues I've been looking for.

Haven’t Been to this store since I was a child at its old location at Kerr. Glad to see they expanded to a larger location. Comic stores are becoming rarer by the year and glad to see they still have super reasonable prices on their comics like they used to. Their selection of comics and cards seem to have exploded in size too. Will be back for sure for all comic needs

GREAT SERVICE! The guy at the counter was really nice and helped me pick out a pack. I ended up getting a Evolving Skies pack. Got a V card in the pack and will probably go back to sell it! I also got 2 Reverse Holo cards.

They guy was very rude towards me. I came in there to buy a box of Pokémon card but instead I was insulted. Won’t be shopping here ever again.

The owner Rich is incredibly nice and always worth having a conversation with. The guy at the magic section who is almost always there is great as well and helps service the Pokémon section. Morph is also always there and is super knowledgeable about everything regarding Pokémon.

I like going late in the day, it’s usually nice and quiet, you can comfortably browse and enjoy a conversation with everyone there as you check out.

The best thing is that the prices are very fluid and move with the market. Other stores are much less likely to do so, or only do sales every so often and keep their prices expensive, but they always have nice fluid prices and move with what is the best for the actual customers. They’re all dope dudes and it’s worth it a million times over to support these kinds of places over big box stores.

I absolutely love the back room of the store. You can tell they really care about their community with such a big back room space for players to play.

They have amazing selection! I've played legacy and modern here a bunch of times and always get my singles in person here. They will order board games for you if you know what you want too.

Comic Connection has been at the top of trading cards in oakville for many many years and respectfully so. Every time I call the shop, the owner never misses a call. He's polite and helpful and at times throws in something for free. If he's not sure he will get an answer for you. I also noticed they didn't have certain item for sale, when I asked him about not having Flesh and Blood he assured me that he could get it. My go to comic book shop and its not local for me, I come here because of the friendly staff, the great conversation and information you can find here, and obviously the massive selection and a multiple of variety!

I always try to stop here when I'm in Oakville, and it is always a pleasant time. The store itself is well organized and well stocked. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable, and the gentleman who I assume is the owner or manager is very nice to speak with. I highly recommend going in!

There are closer stores to my house, but I travel the distance I do because this one is the best.

Bought a card from this company via their online marketplace on ebay. A month and a half later it never arrived. I was refunded but also subsequently banned from bidding on future items. I have purchased from this seller before without issue so I was a little offended that they assumed I cheated them out of a card that cost less than 5 dollars. When I called them out on this poor policy on their ebay feedback page they proceeded to remove the feedback censoring my opinion. Very poor policy, this was a very disappointing experience altogether over again what was simply a card that cost less than $5.

It is not the dollar amount of the card, it is simply a matter of principle. I didn't receive a card I paid for and it was insinuated that I am ripping you off for $5. Sorry you can't handle criticism regarding your policies and need to resort to personal attacks. I felt wronged in this interaction and you really didn't seem to care. All I would have liked was to be unblocked from future bidding and that was simply it. But I do not want any association now with a company that treats it customers this poorly and resorts to petty insults. No anger from my end, just dissatisfaction that clearly is not a concern to you and your company.

Amazing range of comics. Great for kids of all ages. Lots of great toys too. But best of all, it wont destroy your wallet; theyve got something in every price range.

Great staff, super helpful, friendly and will surely help you to find the cards you need. I've been to easily 10+ stores all across GTA and comic connection is surely my favourite as they are the friendliest and have the biggest collection of singles.

Always take my boys here for there hockey and baseball cards. They always treat them well. Won't go anywhere else.

A week ago my husband reached out to comic connection to sell his cards and was told to come in on a week day. We do not live close and made the trip out to Oakville to sell the cards. We were then told that the owner is going away and wasn't in a position to buy until he's back from vacation. Are you kidding me!? Why didn't they tell us that in the first place. It was a waste of our time and gas. This is simply bad business! Guy's a flake.

Excellent for magic. I don't buy their other products but they have excellent staff and its a big place with easy access from the highway.

I apologize for leaving a bad review, however I was pretty disappointed. I did explain the situation and spoke truthfully. I also do believe that leaving a bad review is unfair, especially when people should be given a chance too remedy anything negative, the owner responded and that was good enough for me. Comic Connection has been at the top in oakville for many years and respectfully so. I did call the owner anonymously 2 times after the reviews and yes he is a nice person. It is also unfair during there busy time on a Saturday for them not too be very helpful. Comic Connection is a good shop they deserve all good reviews and the owner genuinely wants to make the ones who didn't have a good experience come back so he can make it better. I will go back but remember my original review was the truth, I did experience what I wrote. Its always better to put nonsense in the past and look at the brighter side of things. There has to be truth all these reviews and defending the owner, we all know we can have good and bad days. Super friendly staff! They don’t always have what I’m looking for (regarding board games or back issue volumes) but I usually end up leaving with a new item based on staff recommendations.

Great place! Owner and employees are great with patrons. We actually have a board game night every Tuesday there as the owner is nice enough to let us use some tables in the back area.

Been going here since I was in highschool, good environment, great staff and great inventory. Definitely oakville's best spot.

I've been going to Comic Connection since I was 14. It's always been there for all my geeky interests as I've grown in and out of interests. The staff is always very knowledgable and helpful! It's definitely one of my favourite stores!

Books. I like how they have comic books that are a few months old available for cover price. Also like the sales on trade paper backs. Sometimes overwhelmed by the “gamer” crowd but i know it helps with sales and getting more people in the door. Owner is sociable And knowledgeable and puts hot books on the walls. Some seem to be overpriced but i have asked for fair deals and was satisfied with price.
