Commando Paintball – Action Centre

I have been playing paintball for over 25 years now. Commando Paintball has been amazing. For the speedball player you have turf and full supair fields plus tournaments. Many teams and players out weekly and willing to help anyone. For the more traditional or milsim player there are many other fields and events like DDay. Then he also hosts the Mud Run, and many other events. Definitely worth the drive for anyone to come here.

The have added the Archery, Gelly Ball as well as the 50 cal low impact paintball.

Warning! Please do not come paint balling here for birthdays and for the sake of your health. I got a staph infection after coming back from here. It was suppose to be a birthday party with my friends, that turned into a horrifying infection. We didn’t know what it was until my parents brought me to the doctor’s, turned out it was from their rental equipment and coverall's. It took almost a month to heal and several appointments. I got my mom to call in to complain about it and the owner shut the phone on us. All we asked for was a partial compensation of what we paid. Please if you plan on going paint balling here, think again!

Outstanding organization and service. Arrival to playing within about 15 minutes. Freindly staff who are also serious about applying the safety rules, which is nice. We will come again, for sure.

I was disappointed in my experience. We were a group of 11, played with another group with about the same amount of people. Got along with them fine. There were no games, just one team shooting on the other for a certain amount of time. No winners or loosers. Felt like they wanted us to shoot as much as possible so we would purchase more paintballs. After the first 2 games, they added about 5 new very experienced players and they ruled the game. We had no apportunity to do anything. They had as many bullets as they wanted and their own guns. They ruined the last games. I asked about playing capture the flag but was turned down by the ref. I can see how just trying to shoot the other team can be fun for teens but as adults we were looking for more organized games with some kind of purpose.

Went there with 7 kids for a bday party. Staff was professional, friendly and helpful.kids enjoyed the diversity of the battle grounds.friends of my son commented it was the best bday party ever. Thank you commando paintball

Great place for groups and events. Very reasonable prices and fun for the day. Been twice and alwaya enjoyed the experience.

They offer paintball, airsoft, speedball and woth amazing courses.

I was actually here for a 5k foam run, but it looked very cool! I would like to go back for paint ball!

Won't be returning. Bad field, bad events, bad refs, drama that ruins the day, there is a little lady that im guessing runs the place or what have you and she just beems you with laser eyes (super creepy) definitely not worth a 6 hour trip and spending my money on. Probably a place for just speedball tournaments on the speedball field. Would recommend people not go to this place for events. (Very poor experience, support better fields that actually cares about the integrity of the sport.)

Had a great experience. All the staff I delt with were friendly and professional. The lady with the clipboard was friendly and seemed well organised. The place seems to run very smoothly. Our ref, Eric if I recall correctly, was friendly and down to earth. Made the games that much better.

Would absolutely return. Thanks for the fun time.

Went to this arena for foam fest and honestly the course looks amazing and I will definitely be planning a day to tear up this course was definitely impressed by the section of different arenas.

The were about 30 of us and we hand a blast. Dave and Marie were excellent and patient as we all got our gear on.
Our referee Ernest was perfect.
I highly recommend.

Great experience! We were there for a team building event, and the whole organization process was so easy. The team members there took great care of us, and we had an absolute blast!

I booked bazooka ball which was much too young for my son and his friends for his birthday, they corrected the problem right away and saved the day! Everyone had a blast. We all want to go again real soon.

So, they are unprofessional and I personally also think it’s overpriced. They don’t communicate with one another. I also l, have proof, I am a real human and the manager trying to keep the lies and saying I’m saying. Even though one of her workers told me one thing and she told me another. One of the workers there are really nice, and the field is ok, but one person tells me one thing and another disagrees? !

The experience is fine but the Owner is kind of rude. That put a bit of a buzzkill on the day but things went pretty well. The Ref made the day, took care of issues quickly. Extra Star awarded just for that guy.

A group of 7 of us came here in April for my partner's birthday and had an amazing time! For some, it was our first time paint balling and we loved it. Everything was so organised and enjoyable. From the communication with staff, gear, and time out on the field.it was all great.

We came today for my son's 9th birthday. I honestly can't say enough good things! Marie was so accommodating and so sweet to all the kids! Eric was an amazing leader too! We will definitely be back! Amazing hospitality and grounds!

Went there for a bachelor's event. Very impressed by the place and the staff. Everyone was knowledgeable and very friendly. The run like a well oiled machine and it was really adventure out. Love the fact there are different maps and you get to try a variety of them.

Totally awesome - played low impact with my two 10-year olds and they had a blast. The 150 ammo each burns fast - so plan to buy more ahead of time (for budgeting purposes).

11/10 customer service! Great friendly staff, super willing to compromise. Maps were amazing, gear was amazing, and they take great action shots of everyone playing. Would definitely come back here again!

This is a fantastic place, we were there for my sons birthday. They staff went out of there way to make it a great day! Plus the way they make the teams is awesome. They also have many different maps to play on. Well worth the money, which was surprisingly not that expensive! We will be there again!

Huge property with many areas for different game style, always updating and expanding the fields, great turnout every time regardless of the weather forecast, and best of all the skill levels are all over the place and teams get well balanced making it the best place in / or near Ottawa. It's got lots of parking, staging/setup areas have solid cover now and they practice /enforce safety in and off the field.they also take lots of hero shot photos.

Amazing place to play paintball. Whether you're a new player playing their very first game, to a pro player who had years under their belt; there is always a place for everyone here and the more knowledgable players, known as members, always help out everyone.

I've never had a bad experience here and they have all my business for all events and games.

I went as part of a work event a couple months ago and had a great time. The process of gearing up was simple and quick and the games were very fun. There are a few different areas with different themes set up and they’re all well done. I’d recommend Commando for any type of group celebration or team building activity for sure

This was our second annual paintball event for our son’s birthday. We had a great time as we did last year. The staff are super! Great time was had by all! Thanks again to Kyle our Ref.

Gathering in September and it had been a while since I was at Commando, but things are going a bit down hill.

Experience is ok, which is why I gave it 3 stars, nothing to write home about but they need some changes to be made for sure.

First of you need more staff, I got sick and tired of telling the one ref we had in our group that the kid on our team keeps taking off his mask, there should be two refs in each group. His response, of well, the kid will learn the hard way. I dont get paid to make sure you clients dont get hurt.

Second of all you need more seating, staging out of a car is annoying, covid or not, other fields can manage it as I was just at flagraiders so not sure what the deal with that is.

Pizza lunch was alright, new building is a nice touch as the old one had to go 20years ago.

This one place where one can enjoy the outdoors, get exercise and have a social time with friends and yet maintain the distance to comply with the recommendations during the covid19 phase.
Would definitely recommend this facility.

Great fields with a variety of fun scenarios. Only shortcoming was that refs didn't do the best job of outlining field boundaries or explaining rules for those who had never played before. Equipment from rentals was in good shape apart from 1 gun, which they replaced after the first round. Overall great experience, and I'll be returning.

Regarding Owner Response: I think a majority of the problems were caused by our field marshal splitting us into our assigned team before explaining each new field, which resulted in him yelling the rules/boundaries to both groups at the same time, and—since it was a windy day—made it very hard to hear. I addressed it with him after the first field and that helped.

We scheduled a private game for a group. It was so well organized and managed. It’s a great facility with a lot of different fields. Matt was a fabulous referee! Everyone in our group had so much fun.

My son participates in the airsoft games that happen on Saturdays and he loves it.

Been a customer of Commando for many many years. I am always impressed with the amazing field, attention to detail and safety. I've had my son's birthday here many times

BUT

This year takes my impression of not only the field to another level but their commitment to community. During Covid lockdown, they never complained, they made adjustments as required to keep everyone safe AND to top it off they held a FREE drive-in movie on Halloween so kids could have fun and be safe and responsible. I am thoroughly impressed and greatful. This is a Halloween that either way would be memorable to my son and thanks to Commando and their community partners (please name them in a reply if you see this) this will be a great memory during a difficult time instead of the year he missed Halloween because of Covid.

Nous avons été invités à une fête d'anniversaire il y a deux semaines et dès mon arrivée, il y avait cette attitude aigre dans l'air du personnel. C'est comme si nous les dérangions en posant des questions aux débutants, pas très axés sur le service client.

Ce n'était pas très accueillant et leurs règles de sécurité COVID ont duré environ 2 minutes pendant que vous faisiez la queue pour leur donner votre argent, après cela, ils n'ont pas appliqué ou ne se sont souciés de rien, votre personnel a besoin de plus de formation.

J'ai vu un membre du personnel se tenir sur une table de pique-nique pour parler à 7 enfants. C'est là que les gens mangent, c'est absolument dégoûtant que vous fassiez cela et pendant notre séjour de 3 heures, j'en ai été témoin à plusieurs reprises avec d'autres groupes.

Je ne recommanderais jamais cet endroit, il n'est pas du tout propre et il n'y a pas d'endroit pour amener les enfants qui jurent, boivent et j'ai vu des gens fumer de la marijuana dans le parking et le personnel n'a rien dit.
Pas pour moi.

Great place to spend a day or afternoon. Staff is awesome as is the general atmosphere of the place

This place is the best paintball in Ottawa. If you get a large enough group to go in the winter that’s the best way to play.

Get in the spirit of getting dirty and tired and you'll have an awesome day. It's a huge compound and you can easily do every field so you don't get tired of anything in a day.

If you’re not playing at Commando you’re not playing.
Staff always helpful and friendly.
They take photos to make your weekend memorable.
The owner Dave is always talking with players and staff to improve the field.
So overall 10/10. Quality field.

I've been playing for over a decade and have visited many fields over the years. The owners of Commando obviously care about their clientele having a fun, and most importantly safe experience. Highly recommend.

Been playing for 20 years, this place is fantastic! The owners and staff are dedicated. The grounds are well kept. The fields are fun and challenging!

Excellent time overall. Polite and well trained staff. It is the best and longest established paintball facility in the area.

I just played Airsoft for the first time today! And I can not even start by saying how much fun I had. Everyone was so caring, kind and respectful. We will DEFINITELY be going back.

Our first experience was great because the staff really enforce the safety rules and make them very clear. The premises are clean and great to bring your lunch and eat by a nice pond with turtles. They offer the choice to order pizza as well. Paintballs are expensive however, the referees are in the game with you and they memorialize your game by taking pics and making them available on their FB page and ensure everyone is playing by the rules. They shine from a customer service perspective. We will be back.

I had a great time during the d day event. I was with my friend and with the mirabel army team. It was epic as hell. Also there was Reper the man, the mith, the legend.

Good place to get all your paintball/ airsoft supplies the owner is very nice and I got my airsoft gun from here about a year ago and its still like new

Participated in D-Day 2019 and absolutely love the environment you guys have, from the positivity, staff, field, everything! Even when things go astray you guys are always on top of it! I will always enjoy coming to Commando because you take players safety seriously and make sure everyone is having the time of there lives!

Make the trek from East coast Canada every year for the Annual DDay Tippmann Challenge. Always worth it.

Legendary paintball field with owners that care. Marked it down one star due to loud music in the staging area.

I used to paintball here all the time. It's an expensive sport but Commandos prices are pretty competitive. They also do a bunch of other events. I did the Mud Hero run the last couple years and they are very well-run. The staff is great, and prices, while high, are very reasonable for what you are getting. The owner, Dave, and his wife are amazing people that seem to do a lot for their community.
