Community Care Midwives

Decided to use a midwife for my second pregnancy and wow am I ever happy I made this decision! CCM was able to take me on as a client even though I found out after my initial appointment that I was having twins. The care and professionalism that I received from every midwife I met with on Team 2 was extraordinary. Aleia, Veronique, Ashley, Kaylee and Kyla were the loveliest ladies and I felt so comfortable with them every step of the way. They even held my hand during my c-section and came to my house to weigh my babies on Christmas Eve when I was nervous about their food intake. The 6 week follow up care is essential for any woman who has a baby. I strongly recommend CCM for any woman who is considering midwifery for their pregnancy journey. I only wish I had used CCM for my first pregnancy! Thank you all so much for everything.

Can’t say enough good things about Community Care! I worked with Team 2 and they were absolutely amazing every step of the way, especially when it came to my delivery. As as first time mom, I was very scared and nervous, but Kayleigh and Ashley were incredibly supportive, professional and gave me all the confidence I needed. I will forever be grateful to them.

I had the most amazing experience with Community Care Midwives and would recommend them to anyone. My team was fantastic. I am so beyond thankful for Steph, Lesley and Morgan! They made my prenatal, labour, delivery and postpartum experience excellent. I could not imagine another care situation for birth given how individualized my care was. I overall felt very empowered to bring my baby into this world in a safe and secure way. Every question I asked was thoughtfully answered and I felt at ease going into the final weeks of pregnancy and birth. I also experienced amazing postpartum care which made me feel prepared and capable of taking care of both myself and my baby.

Had the best experience with team 1 from day 1 when I conceived till last 6 weeks postpartum care. Can't recommend them enough. As a first time mother, we got very professional but personal attention. I feel lucky that I went with them.

I have so much gratitude for the midwives, I worked with team 1. I cannot recommend the care of a midwife enough, I wish I had known about it during my first pregnancy. I appreciate that there was plenty of time to ask questions, get more information which allowed me to really enjoy my pregnancy while feeling safe.

It also helps that the initial visits are in home and takes the stress of leaving the house with a brand new baby. This also includes plenty of support establishing my breastfeeding journey.

We used Community Care Midwives for both of my pregnancies (February 2020 baby and March 2023 baby), and they are fantastic. We were with Team 1 for both pregnancies. Most of the midwives from Team 1 are no longer there from 2020, but we had a wonderful experience with Lesley, Morgan and Stephanie from Team 1 with my recent pregnancy and birth. The ladies are all very professional and knowledgeable, but also personable and approachable. They provided us with all the necessary information to make informed decisions during pregnancy and birth, and provided a judge-free space to let us advocate for the pregnancy and birth my husband and I wanted. They fully supported any decision we made. We also loved the in-home and in-person appointments to check up on me and the baby until 6 weeks postpartum – I wish we could continue to see them for all our baby well-visits.

I would 100% recommend them! I think they are the only midwife clinic in the area that has privileges at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. So, if you’re thinking about using their care, reach out ASAP and DO IT! You won’t be disappointed.

By far one of the best decisions I made during pregnancy was to recieve prenatal and postnatal support here. I had no idea how stressful pregnancy could be or how my anxiety would play a role in my experience with my newborn. Team 1 was always professional, kind, knowledgeable, available and patient to my 10000s of questions. I am so thankful for the quality care I recieved and would reccomend to anyone looking for that extra care during pregnancy and beyond.thank you team 1! I'm only sad that I couldn't stay longer after my little one was born:)

I had a great experience with team 2 and would recommend Community Care Midwives. Although I was disappointed my birth did not go to plan, the midwives were so helpful, compassionate and caring (Alea & Veronique were both amazing). The postpartum care was great, too. I loved that they do at home visits during the first week postpartum.

My experience with them was great I would have liked my delivery to be at home but due to health problems it was in the hospital but they were with me at all times I highly recommend them I was from team 2 I will be very grateful to them

My son is now 13 months old but I decided to write a review this late hahah.
I was with Team 2 and decided to go the Midwife route with my second born- and I really really loved the care I received. I was a little upset that it ended up being an emergency C-section but that’s on my body and not the team. They were there to support me even through the surgery and be there for me emotionally. I’m going back to them this time.

Would definitely recommend them to everyone!
