I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Carroll. Every time I have needed to see her, she has given me the best of care. The team at Compass is also very personable, easy to communicate with (and fast!), and very helpful.

Ciara was wonderful. She took the time to explain the process and recommend the best procedure. The results were amazing.

I have been coming to Compass Dermatology for well over 10 years. The quality, care, and professional services are exceptional! The entire team, from the administrative staff, to the nurses, and to Dr. Carroll and Dr. Cook are professional, positive, and very patient oriented in all aspects of my visits. Everyone keeps me informed of what is being done, along with what will come next and any recommendations for skin care products. Dr. Carroll makes me feel at ease and comfortable with any procedure I am having, and I am never told to do anything that isn’t beneficial for me.

I also want to note that Patricia, Nancy and Ciara are caring staff members and always go out of their way to accommodate schedules and to have me leaving the clinic with a confident and positive attitude. I highly recommend this incredible team to anyone needing dermatology services!

Dr. Carroll and her team are experts at skincare and I trust them 100%. I am in my 50s and when people find that out they are shocked (they think I am much younger) - and I credit Dr. Carroll with that. She and Ciara keep my skin healthy and well-cared for, which in turn keeps me feeling good about my appearance and myself. I wouldn’t go see anyone else in the world - we have the best here in Toronto!

Waited 6 months for an appointment, and without much observation, Dr Liu prescribed me Accutane. They make it really difficult to get the medication from the pharmacy of your choosing, as they have their own pharmacy, you'll have to jump through hoops to get it somewhere else.
Since then, over the 9 month period, I thought I had virtual meetings with dermatologistsof this clinic, as they'd renew prescription and used to give me recommendations, but one of them admitted that they're not dermatologists, and if I wanted to speak to one, I had to make another appointment, I did, and it was still virtual, the so called dermatologist said on the one hand that Accutane would not help with my acne but on the other hand, prescribed me higher dose, and said that if I wanted to have a in person consultation, I would still have to get a referral from my doctor and still wait another 6 months, even though, I am currently on Accutane course and it takes the two of us to continue, they have to monitor, but don't. So I'm just stopping taking Accutane and will see a real dermatologist somewhere else. These guys have no moral compass.

Reply to Reply: as I said, they have no moral compass to even own the fact that their pharmasmart pharmacy is the one getting prescriptions, and you have to make efforts to get prescriptions somewhere else. This is a fake dermatologist clinic, definitely not recommended

I didn’t want any more time to pass before I gave a loud shout out to Dr. Redlick at Compass dermatology.

For a number of years, I had been going to see Dr Redlick for annual checkups and last year, she noticed a spot on my face that she said didn’t look right and although she was very busy, she took the extra time to take a sample for analysis. Turns out it was cancerous and within weeks, I was in a specialist office having this removed.

They did a fantastic job and were able to remove everything quickly and with almost no scaring.

I am so thankful for her wonderful care and attention.
She is always pleasant and cares for her clients.

I went back again today and, to ere on the side of caution she removed another small discoloured mark on my arm that she said was likely fine but didn’t want to chance it.

We always seem to hear the bad stuff about Dr.and our health care and I think we need to change this.

Not only is Dr. Carroll extremely personal, she is mindful of her patients’ time - she has never made me wait past my appointment time, which is typical at all other doctors offices I’ve ever been to. 10/10 experience!

I’ve struggled with the appearance of my skin for years. I’ve had scars on my nose since I was 18 so I decided to try micro needling at Compass Dermatology and I can honestly say that the scars on my nose are way less noticeable! I just can’t believe it! I am so happy. I started crying this morning because I’ve always had to try to cover them up. I’ve tried so many creams and peels in the past but THIS is the one that has changed my life. ️ I plan to do more sessions because I am blown away by the amazing results! The staff are so sweet, knowledgeable and friendly! I love it there!

Dr Caroll and the staff at Compass Dermatology are top notch professionals at their craft! My partner (Pam) and i have had several experiences with the team over the past few years. We always feel that we get great advice whether it’s a simple prescription or more involved treatment! We highly recommend their services!

My experience with Dr. Annie Liu over a year ago was one of the worst dermatology experiences to date. She was insensitive, passive aggressive and visibly impatient during our short consultation. She abruptly hung up on me near the end of the call, told me the only option for my minor acne is accutane, and made no effort to even pretend she was engaged. Hands down the WORST dermatologist I’ve ever had an interaction with. Waste of time.

Dont bother with this clinic. I went there many years ago for an issue. I received a marketing email trying to drum up business so I reached out about an issue and basically was told they're not receiving new patients by Dr Carroll. So basically if you don't go there for very expensive cosmetic treatments they aren't interested in you. People should find a clinic that treats the whole patient and with alot more kindness and respect.

My esthetician T.and Dermatologist Dr. C.were very thorough in explaining what they were going to do and what to expect. I will say that the Ultherapy is less comfortable than the way it's advertised on the web although that may be because I declined the painkiller with codeine. Although it's been less than 24 hours I have very little swelling and no bruising or discomfort. I recommend Compass Dermatology to anyone seeking natural-looking results and exceptional professional care.

Compass Dermatology is truly amazing! The front desk staff and other employees are always so kind and helpful, and the dermatologists are professional, patient, and caring. I have been going here for over a decade and only have good things to say about Compass Dermatology - if you are looking for a welcoming environment I highly recommend you check them out.

I rarely complete reviews because I have little time or if the service is poor I forgive easily. This is the second time I have been to this clinic and both time were sadly very disappointing. Dr Lui treated me both times. While the reception personal are lively and welcoming when I was seen by Dr Lui She was not attentive at all. Took only a quick glance at what I was worried about and rushed me out as quickly as possible with zero interest in me as a patient. I am always a pleasant and considerate patient and her interaction with me seemed uncaring and dismissive. In total after waiting 4 months for this appointment she spent less than 2 minutes, rushing out the door and seeming much too busy to discuss or explain what she had diagnosed. I will never go back there. Shame on Dr Lui. The Hippocratic Oath seems to be lost on her.

We are so happy to have found Compass Dermatology! The team is very welcoming, cheerful and professional. All our questiions were answered and were not rushed. Dr Cook is amazing and explained everything in detail! Thank you!

Do bother trying to go here. I wasn’t able to see a different doctor because I saw one for barley 2 minutes years ago. Long story short, reception is just as useless and said that I have to pay a ludicrous amount of money ($200 I believe) to see the doctor and when I said it’s OHIP covered I was told straight out that the wait is long (like I didn’t know) and that I should pay because it would take too long through OHIP. On top of that, I could tell they were not going to even bother having an OHIP waiting list. Only if you pay you can see someone here and even if you do they don’t seem to care. It’s all about greed.

The technicians and service people at Compass were very attentive and I enjoyed getting my services and products there. It was easy to get my appointments set up which was very much appreciated.

Dr Lui is a very thoughtful and intelligent doctor. My daughter saw her for acne and she was so professional and friendly and made us all feel at ease at once. We were really worried about her skin, but after listening to Dr Lui’s explanations and meeting her I would follow any recommendation she gives. My daughter could not be in better hands!

I would give 10 stars if I could. I had an excellent experience at this office. Starting with booking the appointment with Patricia who was nothing more than accommodating and extremely professional. Dr. Redlick is excellent. I had multiple concerns. She spent the time addressing each one and I never felt rushed at all. I will be bringing my whole family here in the future.

Tia is amazing. A true expert in her field who has a wealth of knowledge and helps assess exactly what treatment (if any) is needed. Cannot recommend her enough! (A skeptic at first - the Halo treatment was worth it - amazing results!)

My husband had an appointment here today because of a skin irritation. After waiting 30 minutes past his appointment time in a doctors office he decided to leave to go back to work. As he was leaving they stopped him and asked him if he would like to reschedule or see the doctor now. Dr. Cook only took half a second, barely looked at and decided to prescribe him something stronger than he’s already taking. She took no time to see what was the cause of the problem. And on top of that he was charged $180 for nothing. A waste of time and money

Years ago, we discovered Dr. Carroll when our dermatologist moved to the US, and referred us to her. What a great referral!

On the medical side, Dr. Carroll is very vigilant - she ensures anything suspicious on my Mom's skin is checked, as my Mom has a history of skin cancer. She also researched an unusual condition for my sister. We really trust her.

We also use Dr. Carroll for cosmetic dermatology - we love that she makes us look refreshed - never fake.

The staff at Compass are amazing - all are personable and welcoming, with a special shout out to Nancy, Maura, Raquel, Patricia, Page and Magda.

And, thank you for the ability to text to book - so easy!

I have a long relationship with dr. Carrol. Over the last 10 years she took care of my daughter's skin with enormous care and professionalism. Recently she treated my husband who developed a lypoma on his lower body. She removed it with precision and it only required 2 stitches. I highly recommend this doctor and her very professional stuff.

I visited Compass on a referral basis from my family doctor for issues I've been going through with my hair and scalp. My experience with reception was exceptional. She took her time to listen to my concerns and to find a suitable time slot that worked with my schedule. The positive experience ended there.
When speaking to reception, she mentioned that since it would be my first visit, I should expect a 45-60 minute appointment as it was common protocol for the doctor to get to know the patient and ask thorough questions. My visit with Dr Annie Lu lasted less than 15 minutes. I felt incredibly rushed. She did a quick examination with a self-assured diagnoses. It felt as though she was trying to cut the appointment short by standing at the door for the remainder of our short conversation. She didn't actually take the time to listen to the concerns I had for certain treatments and instead offered solutions that are 'based on science and are therefore my only options'. I really felt that Dr Lu lacked compassion and patience. As someone seeking support and guidance out of vulnerability, I was hoping to leave my appointment with confidence. I drove home completely defeated. I will not be returning to Compass, nor will I ever recommend it.

I took my 9 y/o daughter who had a suspicious mole to see Dr. Carroll. My daughter was understandably anxious to have a mole removed from her neck (essentially at the jugular), but Dr. Carroll and her assistant, Magdelena, were total pros. They calmed her, made her laugh, and placated her with sweets (after thoughtfully asking me if that was alright). In no time and with very little discomfort the mole was gone. I highly recommend Dr. Carroll and her amazing team at Compass. Much gratitude!
