The service and food at this restaurant are good, better than any other restaurants in Toronto.

We order delivery from here often. Normally our go to place. Except tonight. Everything g was good should say EXCEPT the Singapore rice vermicelli…. As soon as I opened it I sensed something wrong…one taste and we couldn’t eat it. It was so burned tasting it was inedible! We might as well have just burned a $20. Very disappointed and off putting.

This was my first visit to Congee Chan.

Positives:
-lots of space
-friendly staff
-fast service
-extensive selection of dishes

Negatives:
-my shrimp Lo Mein was pretty bland and lacking ingredients
-found an arm or an eyebrow hair in my food
-condiment bottles were extremely dirty
-prices are a bit high for what you get

I'm not sure if I would recommend this restaurant. I have had much better meals at other similar establishments.

Did they pay people to write good reviews? Lol. Some of the reviews seem so fake. Don't come here unless you wanna disappoint yourself.

Seafood Garlic Fried Rice, Spicy Fried Shrimp & Turnip, Beef & Shittake Mushrooms all so good. Must be try.

Service is great, I went there last week with my family, the manager set up the menu for us and food is amazing.

Good food, but not the best service.
Made a reservation for a large group but when we arrived got a smaller table without enough seating (we were on time for our reservation and did not show up late for our reserved time). Was told the walk-ins took up some seats/tables. There is also a mandatory 20% gratuity for larger groups, but the service provided was not up to par (had to ask for water, napkins, etc.for the table several times, someone at the table dropped their spoon and never got a replacement, had to get up and get things myself, and had to ask for the fortune cookies at the end)

This garlic mustard is really good, and the salt and pepper squid tendrils are also my favorite

The service is very good, and they will ask if there are any taboos. The dishes are served quickly, the portions are large, and the taste is unique. It is worth trying.

Ordered the lobster combo for 2 ($99.88) that included multiple different dishes. The food was beyond amazing.

The waitresses are super nice and patient, and will recommend delicious dishes to guests. The squid tentacle is really delicious, you must order it! ! ! !

I really like Maggi beef cubes, and I often have dinner with friends! I will always choose the restaurant in the future, the waiters and sisters are very nice!

This place has become our number one go to for Asian style food. Highly recommend. Great quality and quantity

Very disappointed. Every time I went there the utensils and the cups were dirty and not properly washed. Last time we went they asked us to rush because there were other people waiting.seriously? We weren’t even there for an hour!

They did not let us sit where we wanted and they never asked what we wanted to drink, only two menus for three people and much more, but the worst thing was seeing the very unpleasant and dirty windows at the entrance

Spring rolls, fried rice, pork, chicken what not, by far the best taste I've ever found

They’ve really fallen downhill since the Pandemic. Their fried rice noodle is soggy. There is no “wok hei”. Rice noodle is not supposed to be wet. It’s dried rice noodle beef. It’s supposed to be dry and bouncy when you bite into it. There is also supposed to be “wok hei”. There isn’t.

Some people written that it’s comparable to GTA. Not even close.

This place is named Congee Queen, Congee Wong in Toronto and the quality is much higher. Everyone in GTA knows dry stir fried rice noodle is not supposed to be soggy and it’s supposed to have a charcoal-like flame taste called Wok Hei.

ANY Chinese or Asian restaurants that don’t have Wok Hei means they are horrible. Period.

This one key thing evaluates the entire restaurant. They used to have it until COVID. It was the only restaurant that was good but I felt shameful bringing my friend here from Toronto.

How should I put this? It’s like having a Big Mac without Big Mac sauce. A real meat hot dog vs plant base. A hamburger without sauce or cheese, just the bun and meat, no salt. The list goes on.

I hope they change, because this was the only decent place until 2020. Now I go to the Korean restaurant.

That Wok Hei goes into all stir fry like fried rice, fried noodle, fried meat, etc.if it’s not there it is not authentic.

We ordered the Cantonese chow main, the size is crazy huge and taste good, we will come back soon.

Flew here from Calgary, this restaurant was quick with service and food. However, this Chinese restaurant tasted horrible compared to Chinese restaurants in Calgary.
