Great spots for good quality Cantonese dishes. Pretty much all dishes here hit the spot. Must get items is definitely the roast meats, any fried rice/noodles/rice noodles, any veggie & meat dishes. Service is always prompt and efficient. Staff will always try to accommodate your requests and answer any questions.
Place is always busy, so for large party a reservation is highly recommended. Do douse your dishes with their flavorful chili oil, will add additional dimension to their dishes. Plus ordering a bowl or two of steam rice is highly recommended.

Love the food, so many great tasting dishes and variety! Food is fresh and delivered quickly. Big tables are great for families. Will definitely go back!

Fast, good, authentic Chinese food that won’t break your bank account. It’s busy here, so expect to wait.

It is a Hongkong style meals n snacks. Good to have a group of people to share food n visits.
Price is reasonable n lot of free parking on site.
It is also a place to share food n laugh together with family meals.
Staff are friendly too.

Update: I called the restaurant to let them know and the lady on the phone was apologetic and nice, however, only offered to give me a credit to order more food! I already fed this to my child and no offer of a refund was offered.

Ordered takeout and there was a beetle in our food. Absolutely gross, we threw away everything.

Dishes we ordered all used the same sweet and sour sauce which is super sweet, fish was not fresh at all (even a little stinky…), service was non-exist (no water refill, no napkins given, couldn’t find a server when needed) and even worse, we got an attitude from our server after we tried to communicate about their food quality… worst experience ever and won’t go again

First time to eat dinner at this restaurant. The food is yummy, I like it so much since it's a healthy food and no wonder there's a lot of people coming here in this restaurant and would love to try more of their food.

Good food and better service! Went for dinner with my partner and ordered the chicken and seafood congee (fyi it's all minced seafood and chicken mix. But tasty) seafood hor fun and half chicken double boiled. Food is classic and delicious. Clean environment with screens for covid precautions and we appreciated the friendly and attentive staff. Would recommend this location for family and friend outing.

The family is always happy to come here. There's enough variety of congee to satisfy our different preferences. The roast duck is predictably good and especially soft. We also look forward to the braised snowpea vegetable dish. The place is always full, proof that its many patrons attest to the high quality of food and service.

I love the congee queen restaurants but not this locations so much. I went in to get take out today, I watched them drop someone’s piece of meat (the ones hanging in the display window) on the floor and then use a wet rag to wipe it off before packaging the food. The food I got was also not good. Wonton noodle soup I got was mushy did not taste fresh, and the black bean chicken was 95% onion and pepper 5% actual chicken, I feel ripped off. After watching the staff package food that was dropped on the floor, I won’t be coming back to this location anymore.i understand it is expense to just throw out food, and it slipped onto the floor as you took it out of the display, however packaging it is completely unacceptable, and it makes me question the quality of the food I’m being given. It’s unfortunate i witnessed this because like i said I love congee queen as a franchise and even the staff at this location are always friendly but todays experience was enough for me to never go back.

This place is ok. It took awhile for someone to help us, even though it wasn’t that busy. My partner ordered a mango bubble tea, and it was nothing like the photo in the menu. It also had a weird after taste, so he barely drank it. Also had to ask twice to get rice, before they brought it over. I found this odd that our main dish was served without it even though we asked for it. Food is pricey for the quality. Not a restaurant I feel drawn to go back to.

When we called to place a reservation, the lady who answered told us that there's no need for a reservation, just a walk in. Upon reaching the place the guy on the door asked if we do have reservations.
But the most uncomfortable experience we have that at the end of paying the bill, we gave the lady server an $18 tip, thinking she will be happy but instead she took her pen and paper and calculated the tip all in front of us, count the cash that we paid and asked for more. We ended paying her a total amount of $36 tip amount. First, a tip is a tip, and we paid Cash, obliging customers and calculating in front of the customers is such a rude behavior, knowing we are also in a pandemic and all we planned was to celebrate together. Our friend had the same experience too, on this place. Such a shame and a poor customer service. How many still will experience this unruly behavior?

This chinese food franchise is hands down the best place for chinese food. From Vancouver to Toronto, I found the quality was always above standards. Thanks and please open more in the prairies.

Food tastes good, but customer service is really bad. Unfriendly, hard to get their attention. Their gloves are nasty, they use it to clean the dirty tables and at the same time use them for getting your plates and cutlery, really nasty.

Good food, but uneven, all good but Congee was not spiced properly so was bland. Avoid salmon fried rice, cooked ok but the combination does not work together, just comes out oily with a fish taste but one of our guests had to try it and $17+ is way more than regular fried rice. Steamed rice is still the best to me. Not crowded at 630pm Saturday Nov. 13 but dress warmly, if there is a line up people are sent outdoors or to their car to wait. Prices have inched higher but still good sized portions, fresh, and good taste so we forgive the occasional cooking error. Five stars to me because the price and size offset the occasional error but you should check them out.

This place is serious about food and safety! 1st off, the duck is AMAZING! Highly recommend! Excellent congee. We had the seafood congee when we went and it was loaded with white fish, shrimp, scallops and crab. We went during the pandemic and they have to be the safest restaurant I have ever been too! 6 feet apart tables, plexi glass far above what is required, masks on all staff the whole time we were there (not once down the chin when they thought no one was looking) AND they checked out vax passport and photo ID very carefully. They have take out, which we saw was very busy and separated from the dining area. Prices are what can be expected these days but the portions are large so it balances out.

My Friends and I ordered the duck along with a few other dishes and everything was cooked perfectly.it tasted really good and the staff was also very nice. We will surely be going back here again.

Horrible service, rude host with no manners so you don't deserve tips since this place has no hospitality towards their customer.
If you guys need tips provide the diverse hospitality with no rude and racist slur plus first impression is important guys
Next time before asking for tips provide service worthy of tips if you cannot atleast a smile with warm welcome which might make me feel like giving you tips

Great place to dine-in and for takeout. Service is always quick, food is always fresh and always taste on point! Personally, have been going to this location and the Congee King up at Finch and Leslie for years (since I was a petit boy). Do call in for reservations though as lineups are a frequent for this location unless you don't mind waiting 15 mins. Highly recommend!

Always a trusted favorite, they have a really wide delivery zone too. Food is always quick and most importantly consistent

The taste of the food is okay since it is the take out, however, the portion definitely shrinks a lot compare to dine in. The wait time is outrageous- i waited 50 mins after paying for the order. Maybe i will give it another try if i am really starving and no other places open

The server named Iris was very impatient and rolls her eyes on us just because we are a bit slow thinking about what to order.

We ordered the eggplant, vegetable fried rice, whole BBQ duck, tofu & corn congee and squid. Everything except the congee was amazing! Squid was a little salty. Congee was good but would not say excellent. Left fully satisfied

This spot constantly delivers. They serve good food for affordable prices, there is no waiting time even when the spot is full.

We love Congee Queen. The food is amazing and staff is helpful. We visit often for their 6 grain congee and flat rice noodle and seafood.

Don’t understand why some certain servers DEMANDS higher tips when we pay for the bill.it’s so disrespectful, disgusting & unacceptable the fact they’re really greedy when it comes to money. Would never come here again, this happens way too often at this location.

Amazing restaurant I love this place so much. There are several locations and their kind enough to verify that you're at the right location when you call them. A few times I've called other restaurants with multiple locations and end up driving to the wrong one. Their Congee and deep fried turnip cake is amazing.

My usual go to. Well organized low contact setup for pick up during the lockdown. Efficient and good quality food as always. I enjoy the no fuss process. Prior to covid time those places is always busy and the staff are quick.

I originally gave a 4 or 5 star rate to this place. However, I went there many times after and every single experience was worse than the one before. Therefore and unfortunately I am updating my review to the corresponding rating now. I hope my experience improves in my next visits.

Ordered Cantonese chow mein and the assorted meat platter with jelly fish for CNY and it was underwhelming because the portions were small for a $70 total. Would have been better off going to a BBQ place elsewhere. Cantonese chow mein has such classic flavours there but I can’t fathom the price there. Hope Congee Queen had a one off since it was a busy day.

Congee Queen has been one of my favourite place for Cantonese/Hong Kong style dishes for a while. I’ve visited almost every single location that they have, and their menu consists of endless items, every time I visit, I can find something new. None of their dishes every disappointed me. And a must try dessert is their Golden Milk Pudding, I believe it’s their original creation (don’t quote me on that), and it’s one of the best asian dessert from a restaurant I’ve ever had. Highly recommend all of their locations. Great price, great quality!

This place does Western Chinese fare well. There are less known items which will introduce you to slightly more interesting cusine. The congee bowls are large and are available in a variety of flavours. Service was good as long as you understand how these places work. Eye contact and raise your hand if you're new to this type of restaurant. Bring friends so you can share and sample a bunch of stuff. Good experience and would return to try other menu items.

Good authentic Chinese food, speciality in noodles and other dishes, reasonable prices and good quality

This place is always packed but you still get food quickly and service is fast. Food is awesome and at a decent price.

Congee Queen - this restaurant serves very good chinese food. The food are cooked and served very fast, we don‘t need to wait very long. We ordered the fried chicken (炸子雞), which most restaurant would cooked it very dry, but here the chicken is cooked just right. The chicken meat was cooked very juicy and the skin were crunchy. I will rate the overall experience four star.

Congee Queen is always on point with their food, but just their other location it can be busy, good thing we went in the morning for brunch. Pretty quick service, friendly staff. Can't go wrong with this place when looking for a quick bite.

I love this place for several reasons - the food is phenomenal, the service is efficient, and the value is so good it almost doesn't make sense:) Truly delicious food, and a great experience. For this type of restaurant, it definitely is a 5-star experience.

Oh boy! Probably one of the worst experiences i had dealing woth a restaurant.
1) we had reservations for 630 for party of 12 and we showed up at 6. They told us to wait outside which is ok since it was still mild out.
2) 630 comes around so we go in. To our suprise they gave us 2 tables of 6 on opposite ends of the restaurant. Yet people who came in after where sat down on tables next to one of the 6 people one. So instead of saving the table till 630 to at least have us side by side they decided to fill the tables and give us whatever was left open by 630.needless to say we walked out since we were there for a birthday dinner.

Not Bad, Your typical Cantonese congee place. One thing worth noting is that the portion is HUGE of fried rice and congee.

Very poor experience. Waiter was rude and food was not cooked properly. However I like the Heartland location of Congee Queen.

Not my favourite doubt I'll return. Like a dive trying to do upscale. All items we shared were way too oily.

Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Staff are courteous and tried their best to get your order and food as soon as possible. However pretty long line up and sometimes the washrooms are really filthy.

Always crowded. Line up for dinner from 6pm pn. Food is average but prices are good. My favorite dish is the salt and pepper deep fried squid roast duck and snowpea leaves!

Wait staff are efficient and fast but still pleasant. English is spoken here thankfully fir rhe CBC like me who speak a joke dialect and not mandarin or Cantonese. Food is Cantonese style. Quick and good.

Decor is pleasant but for Chinese bare walls are fine because it's all about the food. Place is clean. Mostly asians come here but the residences in the neighborhood also come and they ate primarily white and over 70. A good mix of clientele.

Good food and plenty of choice, but I prefer less diversity, and enjoy one kind at the time.the food is good, fresh.
I like to take my time when I go eat outside at any restaurant. I do not want to be push to eat fast.regarding the stars I marked was a mistake I wanted to put 3 or 4 stars not one.the computers are too fast for me they do not let me think of what I want to say so I cannot believe on what they post. So may be that is a waste of time to ask for opinions if they do not care to hear what one as to say.

Oh, you can never go wrong with Congee Queen! This is one of my family's go-to places for dinner on a regular basis.

This particular restaurant is packed during the evenings, even on weekdays. The staff are always busy but do their best to maintain a friendly attitude. I love how it's not just Asians that come to this place and that there is a little something for everyone.

Pictured below is a stone pot chicken rice that you have to wait 20 minutes for, because they prepare it fresh. The rice along the edges, touching the bowl, are crispy and golden brown, just the way they should be.

Consistently good food. Longer wait times during peak periods and don't expect fancy service, but you'll get good food here.

It's a busy place at lunch and dinner. The array of menu choices is extensive. It's targeted at a second generation Asian palate. It's like a Chinese version of Cheesecake Factory except food service is super fast. And, it's not a place to hang out for hours unless you dine after peak hours.

Food is great as always, love the portions and their prices are reasonable. BUT! The service is TERRIBLE! I called and ask if it's okay to book a late reservation at 11PM and whoever I spoke to said that it's fine. I ASKED FIRST! Then when we got there before 11 and told the server/hostess named YAQI that I have a reservation and she told me "we close the door at 12" then I told her we called and asked then she gave me this big sigh and grab the menu looking really mad. She went to talked to all of her coworker, talking in their language and pointing at our table. When we were giving her our order I tried to be calm as nice as possible but she sass us like crazy while taking our order. Thought she would stop from there but NO! To make it short we tried to finish as early as possible, so we finished before 11: 30 and still giving us the ATTITUDE. I used to come here a lot but I dont think we will come back here. I guess that's why centerpoint mall is busier than here because of the bad service! Will let everyone know how bad their service is.

Good food. Terrible service, but nobody expects good service at this restaurant because you get your food fast. Tastes delish and moderately priced. There is free parking.
