I still cannot get over the fact that we’ve been in Oakville for 2 decades and only just realized Connon Nurseries exists. We certainly plan to make up for lost time after our first visit earlier this morning

Apart from the fabulous range that they have to offer, the aesthetics of the layout, the spaciousness as well as the friendliness and accessibility of the staff, all made our time there extremely special and enjoyable

But the icing on the cake was Paul Bandiera. A thorough gentleman and professional amd someone for whom Customer Service comes so effortlessly. He was so knowledgeable, patient, courteous and absolutely honest and transparent with his advice.

Thanks a to Paul… we will be back soon

We visited Connon for the first time this past weekend. We were blown away by the selection and quality of trees. And then we had the pleasure of dealing with Paul, we were thoroughly impressed with his helpfulness, knowledge and enthusiasm. He truly made our visit a wonderful experience.

This is our first season visiting Connon Nurseries and we were very impressed by their selection and quality of trees and plants. We had the good fortune of being helped by Paul on our first visit. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us wonderful suggestions for which plants and trees would work best in our garden. When we returned to Connon this weekend, he recognized us, gave us a warm hello and helped us pick out the most beautiful tri-colour beech. Paul patiently answered our many questions and his passion for gardening is infectious. We'd highly recommend Connon Nurseries and ask for Paul when you're there!

If you’re looking for advise on trees ask for Paul. He’s worked in the field for many years and his knowledge is exceptional. Paul also gave me advise on many other plants required for my complete landscape job. So much help! He was patient and kind throughout my visit as well. Do yourself a favour and ask for Paul!

Got some orchid bark, but really came for pond fish. Seems they have stopped carrying them.

Customer service is outstanding every visit. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable when choosing plants, shrubs or trees for our garden.

Pros: massive selection of trees, shrubs, and flowers. The biggest selection I've ever seen. They also have a wide variety of tree sizes. You can get baby trees or very mature trees. Also, some of the employees here are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Cons: trees and shrubs are EXTREMELY expensive compared to other nurseries and big box stores. I guess you're paying for the selection and customer service at this place. But ironically enough, some of the employees weren't all that helpful and one older woman was a bit rude. One of the employees couldn't even speak English.

If your going to charge people exorbitant prices for plants, at least make an effort to have decent customer service.

A solid selection of plant supplies, including the Elho plant mister that I can’t find anywhere else. Lots of tropical houseplants year-round. Love coming here on Saturday mornings during winter for their winter farmers’ market.

Their garden centre has a dazzling array of trees, shrubs and perennials, all in excellent condition. But I must take exception to their selling of plants widely known to be invasive. Plants listed by the Ontario Invasive Plant Council are being sold at Connon, presumably because customers are looking for them. And they’re buying invasive plants because they figure a plant can’t be harmful if a reputable garden centre is selling it.

Although a garden centre is a business, not an education centre, Connon could at least put a cautionary sign beside invasive plants, with suggestions for alternatives. And on a related note, we are trending towards gardening with more native plants. In-demand Ontario native plants are sold out everywhere I search. Please carry more Ontario-specific native plants next year, not merely cultivars of plants found across Canada. This way, Connon could look like a leader in the horticultural business, rather than a carrier of legacy plants.

Pretty store and friendly staff. They dont have very many native plants, they mostly sell cultivars. They also sell invasive species without labelling them. Nice selection of annuals!

Good selection, lots of inventory and I thought the prices were fair. However if you want delivery, be prepared to wait. Was told 4 weeks when I inquired and over $200. Thankfully the tree we got wasn't as big and staff were happy to help load it into the U-Haul. 30 min of safe driving and it arrived in my backyard:)

Overall: very bad. I don't recommend buying trees from there: My experience is only related to their location in Waterdown.

Good things about their nursery:
1- The quality of their trees is very good.
2- They have warranty for 3 years.

Bad things about their nursery
1-Their employees are poorly trained.
2-The customer service is terrible
3-It is very difficult to replace dead trees during the warranty period.
4- Their trees are very expensive compared to other nurseries.
5- It is very difficult to find someone at the nursery to provide you with information. When you find someone, usually he or she doesn't know anything
6- Their cashiers make mistakes and end up overcharging you

Milli helped my wife and I pick out the perfect tree for our homes front yard. Would go back again just for the Milli magic.

Good variety and I frequent here often, unfortunately had an odd interaction with an employee last weekend. Simply asked the employee roughly when they will start getting vegetables and fruits in as this is my second year of growing vegetables and his answer was "what month is it bud? " In a rude manor waiting for me to answer "April" and he goes "exactly, so we don't have any" I was simply just curious to know when they'd be in so I can return back in a month or whenever but now I'm second guessing ever coming back. Left a horrible impression which is very unfortunate as I really enjoyed going here.

Visited Cannon Nursery to purchase a tree/s.we selected a 6 ‘ Serbian Spruce. $515.00. Expensive but it’s a well established professional outfit so I’m paying for experience and warranty.
I ask how much to deliver. That can’t tell me and say at the cash out is where they will quote after I paid. Well I walked away angry after they wanted $620. For delivery And install the tree was $515.00. Plus 13%tax.
The install point is literally 10’ flat from the street. Does got get easier! Outrageous. Asked how much for delivery alone -$330. We are 21 min from their field. Gets even better. Up to one month for delivery. So not even a dedicated truck.
I was very disappointed but calmly said that I do t like being gouged. And the tactic of disclosing delivery and install costs when in the cashier line is opaque. And left empty handed.
I will gladly pay well for quality but don’t go to Cannon unless you like being price gouged.

Finally made it to the Winter Market, plenty of local artisanal vendors of foods and crafts inside the pleasant Connon retail greenhouse.
Farm Market closes April 01.
