It's a popular grocery joint, famous for prices and quality products. I went to buy some water bottles but unfortunately was not available. I was greeted by a pretty cashier (near the exit door) with a beautiful smile.
The cashiers here are nice and I’ve never had a problem with their price matching.
My issue is I’ve brought items home and they’ve been mouldy. This has happened to butter (which is extremely overpriced at $7 per block!) and also bread. I wasn’t able to exchange them for non-mouldy items because I didn’t have the receipt.
Also this store has low stock on a lot of items. If somethings on their flyer don’t expect to find it in store.
Selling expired items + low stock = time to try a different nofrills location. And hopefully one who values their customers and exchanges food that should not have been sold in the first place.
I have been shopping here for sometime. Just recently I see a big symbol of woke-ism plastered at the front of the floor entrance. I am very disappointed that Scott and Laura Conroy started to take part in the woke agenda. You guys should stay with what you do best, selling groceries. We already know that you welcome people from all backgrounds as we can see all the people that you employed and welcomed in the store. There is no need to put giant symbol of woke on your store entrance. Now you just politicized your store. I am very disappointed and will no longer be supporting your business effective immediately.
Rude people work here. I will never shop here again. They treat a customer like they are doing them a favour by shopping here. I would rather drive further for my grocery shopping then to deal with rude people.
I saw one of the cashier getting frustrated with an elderly. The poor lady was having trouble with paying through credit card but instead of helping her out, the lady behind the counter was frustrated and made funny faces and telling other customers to help and let her move ahead
The manager here is horrible. Asked him about a sign on the front of the store only allowing 1 student. There was no discussion to be had. He was defensive, angry, rude completely out of line.
Will not shop here again as his store policies are not right fair or posted! I am an extremely unhappy customer so instead of ruining my day again I will just take my business somewhere else.
Smaller grocery store not far from our neighbourhood. Selection is reduced compared to bigger stores but that's expected. Great service and they do a good job keeping the lines moving.
Trucker protest is the best thing that had happened in the world since ww2. Wake up and realize this Canadian government is making way too much money. Wake up!
I was in a assumption that they don’t carry Indian grocery but they do and I liked it even it’s limited to few items. I would suggest more Indian spices on the shelf which would make me easy to shop all at one stop.
Not only was my aunt mistreated by customers but was also mistreated by the manager. The manager was very racist definitely do not recommend coming here!
Stopped shopping here years ago. Had to run in today to grab a few things and I have never had such rude employees. Customer service is AWFUL at this store. Will never shop here again! Nothing has changed, place has gone down hill big time!
Continue to allow employees to wear face shields? According to health Canada: "Face shields do not replace masks, but can be worn ONLY in addition to a mask. A face shield is used to protect the eyes of the person wearing it. Using a face shield without a mask won't protect you or others from infectious respiratory particles that can escape around the face shield" Not going back until they take my safety seriously.
The young man who is the counter and sanitizes the carts is so nice, professional and helpful. All the staff is really great here but he's a star. Dude deserves a raise or something.
Helpful staff! I could instantly tell they were on top of making sure things were available and sanitized. Short lines (albeit I went at a slow time) and was out nice and quick
It's getting more expensive! I go to No Frills because of the price! Not because of the selection but their prices are going up! I do understand they have extra cost to be covid friendly? And sometimes I'm going to go there but I don't have a dollar for the carts so then I just don't end up going to Metro!
Went in for two things forgot my list and came out with 9 things, lol. Staff are always helpful i even got a complaint about my dancing and singing. One of the helpful staff took photos, with my ok to touch my cell.
Unfortunately my Apple pay was not working and I did not have my wallet on me. I asked if I could etransfer funds and the cashier said that wasnt an option and that her manager would get upset if she accepted an etransfer. We have this technology and customer service is key. So I was confused why they wouldnt help me. I've been to stores that go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service, and I had to walk away with no groceries because no one would take an etransfer from me (which is instant and you can see the money has been deposited!). Please consider this as an option to help a customer out.
I had a great experience shopping at this location! It has self serve check out which is very convenient. I love the fact that this location carries a selection of meatless/plant base products, that I have never seen at other Nofrills supermarkets. This location, is a bit out of my way, but going forward, I will be returning there to shop.
Love this store.been shopping here for a long time. Very disappointed they have no plexiglass up to protect our cashiers as they are doing a very brave thing by being there.
Please train your cashiers to be nice to customers. We didn't go to your store to steal or ask for free items. We are paying for our groceries but your cashiers made us feel that we don't deserve to shop there. The attitude of your cashiers are not acceptable.
First time in my life I was treated like an animal. This old and grumpy cashier lady beside the self checkout this morning raised her voice and told me to step back 6 feet away from her. She could have said it nicely but even the other cashiers looked at her because of her behaviour and they couldn't do anything. I'm assuming she's the manager or maybe the owner. I can not believe this is how she treats customers. This is the most stupid and ignorant human being I've ever seen in my life.
Today is Thursday, March 26,2020 - the day i discovered that the frozen food items i bought from Conroy's No Frills in Whitby, last Monday afternoon, March 23,2020 had an expiration date of DECEMBER 14,2019. I went back to Conroy's No Frills immediately only to be told that I should have checked the expiry date before buying. With this present situation, who will even think that Conroy's No Frills would be selling a 3-month old product to their customers. What a dishonest establishment. I cannot find a 0 or negative rating for this store so i just had to do a 1 rating to be able to post. They deserve a negative 100 rating.
This is the smallest No Frills I have ever seen - I didn't know they made them this small. Definitely not as much selection as a full-sized store, but they have all your essentials, minus many staple sales in their flyer week to week. The cashier I had yesterday was a little snarky, but overall it was a good shopping experience.
Great place to shop a lot of the employees are younge but are very helpful and kind. Hard to find what you would like sometimes but other than that it's a nice place to shop even though it's not in the best neighborhood, but the area is still good.
Back in 2 Years ago me, Javon and Mr. Pauric we’re working there for co-op as we meet Mr. Cowling the former manager of the store to give us jobs to do as me and Javon stock shelves and organize them, checking expiry dates and putting food away on the shelves. That co-op job at No Frills went good and I want to say thank you to Mr. Cowling for all the work he gave us and as he moved to Vaughan for his new job we want to say we will miss him and good luck on that new job.
Great fresh produce, well displayed. Whole place is very clean. Lots of products, not just PC items. Employees are hustling to keep shelves well stocked & to help all customers. I really enjoyed shopping here!:)
Its Is very clean and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable about what the store Carrys. Cashiers are friendly and try to do their best job being quick ringing you out. I would definitely go back and reccomend to my family and friends!
Not as big as many other no frill stores but non the less it was fully stocked, very clean and spacious aisles and clean quality produce. No frills to me is the lowest priced grocery store around.
Bad service when it come to defective food.we purchased 2 cartons of eggs on sale which they were bad so we return them but the sale was over to exchange or money back which we had our receipt.the manager decided to exchange them and pay the different in price.we tried to tell him that it was defective and we dont want the money just exchange with the same product.we should not pay any thing and he refused.i will never go to this location again.head office should have control and rules to these location the manger needs more training or step down
