My Dad took me to the Limeride Mall branch Yesterday. To surprise me with some Thailand Baht for my upcoming Vacation. They did NOT have any. The Woman working there said If we came back tomorrow at 10 am "they would have some in for sure" I am 54 I do not live near there. I dont drive.and I do not like going to the branch at Jackson Square. My Dad went by himself.today at 10 am as she suggested.and they had NONE!? The woman working there said " it will be in by 11am for sure. " So my Dad went back at 11 am and NO they did NOT have ANY? A proffesional would have said Thailand currency would be any time between 10 and 5! - I am frustrated.

TLDR: go to your bank + order the money in advance. It’s much cheaper (and they won’t try to trick you) I know Continental has a guarantee but trust me the bank is actually cheaper if you have the time to order it in.

This is the worst experience I’ve had exchanging money.

When I arrived to exchange a large sum of money, there was 1 other customer being helped and 3 other tellers available. The teller helped me exchange my money however mid way through I asked her if I could join their rewards club. She stated that we can do it after my large transaction. I didn’t think much of it until I heard the teller beside me ask her customer if he had a rewards card or if he wanted to get one for cheaper transactions and rates.

When I asked the teller why she didn’t offer me the card at the beginning or address it when I asked she just said they are not trained to upsell the card it and it’s only 3$ that I would save. In reality, the website states that I would have saved their 3$ fee and on an even lower exchange rate.

The teller on the side started to give me attitude and tell me that when they are busy they don’t offer the card anyways. I let her know I was only 1 of 2 when I arrived to which she responded “ don’t even. We’ve been busy all day”. I have never been spoken to like this before. She was extremely rude and it actually wasn’t busy when I arrived!

This is just pure trickery and extremely bad customer service.
I will be letting everyone know about this + discouraging people from going.

Worst branch I have ever been to, I wish they were name tags. But the recipt says Carol, unbelievably rude, I work for a cruise li e and often recomend here never again. You should be ashamed if shes representing your company.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! We purchased Aruban Florins at Hamilton Limeridge office, the actual money we received is no longer in circulation. We are now in Aruba with no money. I AM VERY SURPRISED YOU WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN THIS AND ADVISED US. OR BETTER YET STOCK THE PROPER CURRENCY!

This a great location and a Safer location than others. The staff there are courteous and proffesional. I am really looking forward to this lockdown being over so I can exchange some CAD at the Lime Ridge Mall location and travel!

Unsatisfied with the service I received this afternoon. I was told by fellow coworkers that you get an employee discount here if you work in the mall. I went to see if this was true and the cashier let me know that this was true. I provided proof that I was a mall employee and after checking my recipes I noticed that zero discount was applied. The only reason I considered this location was because of the discount. Very disappointed and won’t be exchanging here every again

Since my last review, I have had occasion to visit this branch twice more. On both occasions I was treated courteously and professionally. On Monday of this week, my second visit, I was dealt with by Jessie who, in fact, had been the person who helped me with the Aussie dollar transaction that I mentioned in the last review (see below). My visit and dealing with her was as enjoyable as the first time that I went there.
On the past couple of visits' experience, I upgrade my rating to five stars.

Very mixed experience. I changed some Australian dollars into Canadian earlier this week and was dealt with by a very friendly young woman at the middle cubicle who even remembered me making the original transaction before I went back to Australia.
The day after, I found a few extra Aussie dollars and went back to change them. This time I was dealt with by a thoroughly unpleasant blonde woman in the right cubicle. Please and thank you are not part of her vocabulary it seems and neither is the ability to smile. The next time I go back, I will let somebody take my place in line if she us still there. She is doing your reputation no favours.

Continental Currency Exchange is conveniently located and my location is Lime Ridge Mall. I have never had to wait long for service. I like that there are dividers between the tellers so you have some privacy while doing your transaction.

My experience with the different tellers is that they are all welcoming, easy to talk to and easily address any questions or concerns I may have.

They guarantee the best exchange rate on 160 currencies! The exchange is even a little bit better for me now that I can take advantage of Senior’s Day – LOL!

I've been using this companys services for years, and it's been decent. But yesterday was one of the worst experiences I had dealing with a company. I wanted to exchange $8000 CAD for Japanese Yen. As soon as I told them how much money I wanted order I treated like a criminal.
I had to talk to two women about why I needed so much money. What was weird since I exchanged 10,000 CAD for Japanese Yen with them last year without any problems.
After explaining why I needed so much money I was told they would be able to exchange my money but I would need to bring in a bank draft. Agreeing to their request I put down my 10% deposit and left for my bank.
I never did a bank draft before but I figured it would be simple. Turns out its not and would take awhile to get. Not wanting to go through the hassle I returned to this location and explained the situation. Which two employees and what seemed to be the manager tried every tactic in the book to change my mind on not canceling my order. They wanted me to go out of my way with every option. Asking me to call my bank and ask if I could bump up my debit limit, asking a friend for their debit card, ect. It got to a point where I was getting major red flags and just wanted to cancel my order. Thankfully I got my 10% back, but I'm never using this company's service again. I find it to be sketchy now. Also I just found out my bank has better rates for global currency. I'm actually getting $100 more.

After not being able to trust this company with their lowest rate guarantee and having to check all other avenues, I was reassured they do not have the best rates hardly ever. I’m not sure if this had to do with the currency I desired (Vietnamese dong) but I was appalled and the rate I received compared to what other banks and exchange places were giving. I brought this company to their management and even after having a back and forth with someone who assured me they would make it right at the kiosk, I had to fight with someone there to get them to honour the rate I had found. Nothing was easy or simply and I felt I had to work much harder on my own to ensure I got the best rate. This company does not care and just wants to make more money.
