All my questions and concerns were answered and I appreciated that I wasn’t put under pressure to make a decision. Micheal was great! He helped my friend pick out a wig. His prices were reasonable and he was so accommodating with everything; even store hours. He stayed behind to help us find the perfect hair. He was patient. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone dealing with hair loss.

My 11 year old daughter needed a wig and from the minute we walked in, Michael was so kind with her and made her so happy. He made this experience for her the easiest part amid everything she will have to deal with. I encourage anyone who can donate hair to do so, they have a great program there.

A friends daughter was going through Chemo treatment. They brought her to see Mike and his staff. They put together the most fantastic hair piece for her and treated her with so much compassion. I will never forget the smile they put on her face. They go above and beyond! Amazing!

Overall experience yesterday with Continental Hair was exceptional! It started with a live chat a week ago. I got a call back from Michael (owner) that same day to book an appointment for my 9yo daughter who have alopecia. Michael was very accomodating and kind, as I told him how my daughter can get very itchy with any hairpiece. Michael said that he would make sure that my daughter would get the proper fit and if he could weave a new one specially for her, he would. We arrived 10 mins early and he seated my daughter, picked the right colour and size instantly in one try. My daughter said she did not know that wigs can be that comfortable. The stylist (Davide) exceeded my expectations, showing my daughter how to put the wig on and off, how to adjust the cap, braid, curl and straighten. He let my daughter practice to make sure that she knows how to properly do it herself. Davide also discussed in detail how to take care of the wig, what products to use, where to pin in place and how to store. Another stylist patiently showed me how to properly shampoo and condition. Thank you guys for making my daughter feel so special. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place, 100 stars!

I can't say enough positive things about Michael and his exceptional team. Our daughter has had alopecia since she was 5 when in a two week period she lost all her hair including eyebrows and eye lashes. We moved and she was going to be attending a new school when she asked about looking for a wig. This is how we ended up at Continental Hair. Our daughter being 12 at the time qualified for the Wigs for Kids program and Michael showed several options that best suited her color and style she was hoping to have. The team helped fit the wig and have had no hesitation making several changes in making her more comfortable with the styling. Since working with the team our daughter has gained so much more self confidence making her happy and loving a life with hair again! Thanks Michael for bringing new joy to our daughter.

The staff all seemed very courteous, friendly, and professional as they helped my girlfriend - also, the couch was comfortable as I waited and there were chargers for cell phones provided

The unprofessionalism is abhorrent. Pass, literally not worth anither second of your time. Also to the owner, just because I only review places when I have had a poor experience to help warn others.that doesn't make my points or others experiences and reviews any less valid.and also complaing about cancer patients in your shop, in reply to their complaint about feeling unsafe, is also quiet disgusting. Be better.

Very disappointing experiences. I purchased 2 human hair products from this place over the years. The first time was a good quality topper. 2 years ago, the one thing I was looking for during my second purchase was a similar quality. Silky, soft and healthy looking. This time I got a full wig, and thought I picked out the right pre fab wig. After having some low lights added, I returned to have it styled. For some reason the hair felt different. To this day I am convened the wig was changed on me. At the time i was unaware of remy and non remy hair. They clearly took advantage of this. I spent over $3000 on non remy, hair. At the time the owner explained that the reason it was not soft and silky is bc it was virgin hair and was not stripped, which is why it was more expensive, and made it look more natural- which in retrospect was a lie. He omitted the fact that non remy hair, which is less expensive bc the hair cuticles are not necessarily all in the same direction, results in less smooth, tingled hair, which is what my hair does. Not to mention, they have people working there that care very little about how they cut hair. I ended up with a lopsided cut and returned multiple time to have it fixed by 2 different stylist, but still it looks the same. Very dishonest people. Can't be trusted.

Michael was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when it came to choosing a wig for the first time. He made my whole experience a very enjoyable and comforting one. During my second appointment, Mimi did an outstanding job colouring and styling my hair piece to match my original hair perfectly! I was beyond thrilled with the finale result and would highly recommend Continental Hair, you will not be disappointed

I went to this salon today with my mother, who is going through chemotherapy - I assume a reasonable proportion of the salon's clientele are also cancer patients, who are IMMUNE COMPROMISED. Still, despite the global pandemic, the salon was VERY crowded, in a space where distancing is challenging. LOTS of staff, all of whom seemed too busy to bother with us, and some of whom who were either not wearing a mask, or wearing them below their noses. We felt like we were an inconvenience. Few options were shown to us - despite asking. Service was brusque, styling was careless. My mother felt unsafe and was deeply upset when we left. Terrible.

After reading multiple reviews about Continental Hair, I decided to take a chance and try them out for my 13yr old daughter who suffers from alopecia areata. We showed up 45min early for our appointment and Michael was so welcoming and friendly. He could have made us wait until our scheduled time slot but instead he graciously started to work with us right away.
QUALITY: My daughter tried on multiple options. The styles were beautiful and modern. Even right out of the box, they looked so natural and perfectly suited to my daughter's face/head. They gave us several options for the wig to remain secure in place. My daughter does circus training, so she is constantly hanging upside down on a trapeze, or doing tumbling/gymnastics moves. When we got home, we tried what they suggested and it worked.
SERVICE: You can get a wig anywhere. But customers choose Continental Hair for their superior customer service. They went above and beyond what I expected. After helping us choose the wig, Michael then paired us with a stylist, Venetia. She was so great with my daughter. Patient, kind, gentle, catering to everything my daughter asked for,  teaching her how to put the wig on herself. You can have the wig cut to whatever style you want, straightened or curled, whatever colour you choose.   But it didn't end there - they offered us beverages and made sure we were comfortable. Michael also informed me that wigs can be claimed on your taxes if we get a prescription. I had no idea!
MISC: The staff wore masks and they provided hand sanitizer upon entry, which was great!  Located in Yorkville, the salon is clean and upscale. Note: If you're driving, the metered parking on Avenue Rd.is only available until 3pm. After that you will have to move your car. So plan your appointment accordingly.  We drove all the way from Stoney Creek/Hamilton.

It was worth every penny and worth every minute of afternoon traffic.) My daughter walked out a completely different girl, with so much happiness and confidence. She can now look in a mirror and not feel sad. I cannot thank Continental Hair enough!

I Donated the hair I had cut off for the program they have which makes partial wigs for children with illness. Very Pleasant staff and a great program!

Michael Suba and the staff at Continental Hair are a bunch of con artists. I paid over $3000 for a "postiche" that looks the same as items on the internet for $35. It is supposed to be human hair and I am sure that it is synthetic hair. When I picked it up and walked out of the salon everyone was saying how great and natural it looked, and I felt like the "Emperor in New Clothes" fable.

This year my granddaughter had her first two episodes of alopecia. After watching her wear hats 100% of the time I searched for a solution and came across Continental Hair. The first person I spoke to was Venetia at the Sunnybrook site. This amazing lady gave me advice and information and told me we would have to go to Avenue road as Emma is only ten.
We made an appointment and were met there by the most wonderful kind and professional staff starting with Kyle on reception. Michael then greeted us and chatted with Emma making her feel important and comfortable. He then fitted her with a lovely shoulder length wig. Laila was able to fit us into her schedule to cut and style it. Michael and Laila showed Emma how to put it on, store and take care of it.
Thanks to the experience Michael and his awesome staff gave to Emma she left the store with a huge smile and a bounce in her step. I have to confess Grandma had a few tears of happiness.

I had such a warm surprise at Continental Hair today. The management and staff at 92 1/2 Avenue Road have been assisting me with my hair since 2017. Today, they just simply went out of their way in their customer service. In 2017, I had walked into the salon with tears. Today, two years on, I still walk out with a smile. Michael and his team of professionals (Vinisha, Laila, Brandy, and others) take such good care of me. The two-year journey that will keep on continuing, has been amazing. I highly commend Michael and his incredible team for their utmost professionalism, integrity, kindness, warmth, and excellent, excellent service. Had an absolutely amazing experience here! Met with the owner who helped me find the perfect wig. I was so devastated and sensitive about my hair loss from chemotherapy, the entire staff was so helpful! I absolutely love my experience with them and would recommend going here if you are a cancer patient going through chemo. Everyone was wonderful and they made sure i walked out happy with my purchase.

I visited Continental Hair and met with Michael because I suffer from thinning hair.
Michael and his staff were all great and caring. I was made to feel very comfortable.
They took the time and gave me excellent information which I used in deciding to purchase a postiche.
On Saturday April 27th my postiche arrived and again my experience was great.
My postiche fitted perfectly, was cut and shaped professionally by Mima. We decided to add highlights which look so good.
Michael's team efforts made it just right for me. I was shown how to take care of my postiche as it is great hair and I want to maintain it properly, so it will last for years.
I walked out of the salon feeling like a million dollars, with a more positive outlook knowing finally after much research in the past few years, I had found the right place for my needs.
Brandy, Venesha and Mima are all so very accommodating, friendly and caring, it is a pleasure to visit the Salon.

It took me weeks to build up the confidence to actually call Continental Hair for the first time. It meant that I had to actually acknowledge my hair loss to someone else (a perfect stranger!), and I was deeply uncomfortable with that thought. I had looked up some information on options for my thinning hair, and I wasn't even really sure that a hair piece would be a good option for me. I'm so, so glad that I finally made that call.

When I called I spoke directly to the owner, Michael. I told him that I was uncomfortable talking about my hair loss and that I was skeptical about a hair piece. I think my nervousness made me almost abrupt with him. But Michael's kind and understanding approach totally put me at ease. At the end of the conversation, I was intrigued and made an appointment to go into the salon just to see what options were available.

The staff at the salon were very friendly and welcoming. There were also several clients in at the time, which, in an unexpected way, gave me a feeling of community as we were all women with this shared experience of hair loss. Michael answered all of my questions and showed me what systems could work for my situation. He was very easy to talk to, and I never felt pressured toward making a decision. One my biggest concerns about a hair piece was that it wouldn't be secure. Michael clipped a piece into my hair, set the blow dryer on full, and then pointed it directly at my head from every angle, showing me that I had no need to worry about secure placement. Haha. I placed my first order that day and haven't looked back!

That was 7 years ago. I was 29 years old. Before going to Continental Hair, my thinning hair was something I thought about all the time. I was always aware when someone was taller than me and could see my head from the top angle, I hated riding escalators when I knew people were looking down at me from behind, I was anxious about getting caught in the rain and having my hair get wet in public. But those thoughts don't travel with me anymore. At all. Now when I leave the house I put on my favourite accessory that lets me feel as confident on the outside as I feel on the inside.

There are not enough words to describe the exceptional experience I recently received from the staff at Continental Hair. Michael went above and beyond to make sure he could get me in as quickly as possible, and he took the time to help me find exactly what I was looking for. Laila, Venesha and Brandy were very kind and professional and they made sure I walked out of there extremely happy and with so much confidence. This is my second time at Continental Hair and it definitely will not be my last. Thank you all again so much!
