I initially came in for jaw pain and headaches from TMJ. Dr. Kris Dorkin is amazing, very thorough, and does the most for the best care possible (including X-Rays, concise education, take-home tutorials, and recommendations without pressuring). He does a full examination to get to the core matter of things and even address other concerns.

Specifically for TMJ, two sessions in and my severe TMJ symptoms went away. Dr. Dorkin makes the best out of each session, which sets Core Wellness apart from all the others.

Excellent treatment at a great price, Dr. Dorken is very knowledgeable and personable. Always satisfied!

I have been visiting the clinic for a couple of months. I received a recommendation from a friend, and the first time I went there, I felt a huge sore on my upper back and very tight. Dr. Dorken and his team supported me with exercises for the core, physio and chiro sections. After six sessions, I felt the difference, and I could return to my workout routines and apply several exercises for my purposes. Keeping my back aligned, making adjustments and focusing on the exercises are helping me to keep off the sore. I'm glad I found this team!

3 years ago I was hit by another car while driving. I searched and found “Core wellness” for my physiotherapy. No regrets, This place became routined to up keep my health. Help me through the entire progress.

I was having really bad upper back pain for a year or so before going here. After the Dr. Reset my back, it feels so much stronger and I have very little pain. Some x-rays were taken and some insights already given, but I look forward to my next session to hear about what he has found in my scans, and working with him to correct the problem! He is very thorough!

I went in to see Dr. Dorkin strictly to work on my posture. He insisted on back readjustments (back cracking). The back cracks felt rigorous and aggressive but I had no reason to think this was out of the ordinary as this was my first experience with this.

I started noticing significant pain after the second visit. Dr. Dorkin told me this was usual and it would go away if we continued. So I continued going in weekly for close to 3 months. Eventually it got to the point where the daily pain I was living with was simply too significant and I couldn’t continue. Once again, I had no back pain before I came in for my first session.

Now 2 years later, I’ve been told by doctors that there’s no reason to think the pain will ever go away. I’ll likely be living in regular pain for the rest of my life because of my decision to undergo these back readjustments with Dr. Dorkin.

I emailed Dr. Dorkin that I had no intention in suing but I wanted him to warn patients going forward of the risks involved with back readjustments. So that no one’s quality of life will be impacted the way mine was. He did not agree to this suggestion.

So I suppose this is my way of warning folks. Please please please ask about the risks involved before starting any back readjustment with this man. My life has been severely affected by my appointments with this Dr. Dorkin. I live my entire life in significant pain that ranges annoying to debilitating. I hope no one else has to suffer the same fate.

Dr Kris and team are very accommodating and professional. I've been coming here and my family for years now. I would Highly recommend Core Wellness clinic.

Dr. Kris takes the time to thoroughly explain the problem. For example, he explains the x-rays to you and shows where the problem is, what it is called, etc. With the help of the incredible physiotherapist, I experienced substantial pain relief on the first appointment. A shout out to the front staff, Conie and Mimi. Fabulous. Don' t forget to book your massage appointment with Jessica! She is amazing. Overall, this place is has a calming friendly vibe.

I have tried many other chiropractors in the city and no one compares. The doctor truly prioritizes your wellness and works with your unique issue. No matter where I go, I will always come back to Core.

So happy that I came across Dr Kris Dorken as he fully fixed my lower back issues. I had developed over the years very bad chronic back pain and mobility issues that even the smallest task would be so hard to do.
I tried other chiropractors over the years and while I would get temporary relief, there was never a permanent positive result.
What I really enjoyed from Dr Dorken was right at the start he took
X-Rays to fully assess and pinpoint what was going on with my spine.
Once he found and showed me the problems he got to work with his adjustments.
Also on top of adjusting my spine and neck to their proper positions,
I was given multiple stretching and strengthening exercises to do.
Within 9 months of at least going 2 to 3 times a month for adjustments and then doing the exercises shown to me 3 to 4 times a week at home, I'm so happy to say that I have no more back pain.
Dr Dorken's attentiveness and level of care, along with committing to getting adjusted regularly and doing his strengthening exercises fully fixed me and I am so grateful for that.

So glad I found Dr. Kris after having my first child. I could hardly move or sleep with back pain, and after the first session I felt improvement. Now am pain-free. I had been nervous about chiropractic adjustments, but Dr. Kris is great and you will feel better after every visit.

This clinic is amazing. From the friendly front desk staff to Dr Kris. My husband had severe back pain which was preventing his mobility and when we started seeing Dr Kris, he was able to find relief and see total reversal of his symptoms. The clinic is clean and well organized. The doctor is extremely detail oriented and dedicated to his patients wellbeing. The clinic is busy and at times there is a little waiting time in between appointments. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who is in pain and needs a good doctor.

The new location is super clean and spacious. Right as I entered I was welcomed by the kind front desk staff. Jessica, the RMT, was fabulous. This is by far to be a very genuine and super honest experience/review. 7 months from today I was diagnosed with a lumbar SEVERE herniated disc L5/S1 severe compression to L5 nerve root. With not being able to walk or move, I researched clinics all over Toronto and ended up at Core wellness. From the moment I walked in it felt so right. Dr. Kris and the team were very warm and compassionate. With my initial xrays (he does on site) to my first adjustment. Dr.kris to my surprise called me the same night to see how I was feeling, which doctor does that nowadays.none! From the Physiotherapist to the massage therapist going through his routine has brought me right back to 90% healed. I am quite sure with the results I have now I will be fully healed after a year rehabilitation. A far way from thinking my only option was surgery. I urge people who are in excruciating pain to visit Dr Kris and his beautiful team of professionals follow the routines set forth, give it time and patience. I personally will be always be getting my tune up from core wellness forever.

I started seeing Dr. Kris a few months ago due to hip and pelvic issues caused by pregnancy. I was experiencing excruciating pain that I was told would just get worse as the baby grew. Now I am almost 100% pain free and my hips have stopped popping. I have been sharing my experience with everyone who will listen. I will be continuing my appointments this entire pregnancy!

The environment at Core is inviting and safe. Personnel are extremely kind and helpful. Dr Dorken knows his stuff and has been very helpful to me in dealing with my particular situation. Well equipped, well staffed and authentic passion for health, can't ask for anything more.

We brought our baby to see Dr. Dorken when he was just 8 weeks old. As new first time parents this was a crazy time for us, our baby also had colic and cried about 20 hours out of every 24! The Dr.is amazing with babies and worked his magic, we noticed a difference after the first visit and continued with 4 more visits. Dr. Dorken is a genius! Our baby stopped crying, sleeps better and its now a pleasure to feed him! Babies can come out fast and have blockages as a result taking them here will really help my best advice is not to wait! He performs a very gentle massage technique so its perfect for small babies.

Core wellness is THE best clinic that I’ve been to. They have a well equipped facility. Everyone in the clinic are professional, friendly and accommodating. The environment is extremely clean, which is so important during Covid times, they take all the precautions to ensure the safety of all patients.

Dr. Dorken gets a special shoutout because he really cares about the well being of his patients. I’ve only had 3 sessions with Dr. Dorken, and I can already feel a tremendous difference with my mobility. I can say With full confidence that Dr. Dorken is a master of his craft.

Been adjusted by Dr. Dorken for over 10 years. He is the most loving, caring and genuine person I know. I've also sent many people to him, some from all over the country and they have all loved him. You will feel the love when you are cared for by him.

Amazing, I go one a week for adjustments. Literally changed my life, all senses improved, higher energy, better sleep. Instantly fixed my back pains a few times from weight training too. I’m a lifer.

In just a short amount of time Dr. Kris and Core Wellness Center have been able to take an extreme misaligned TMJ and nurse it back to normal, something I didn't even think was possible. I just had my first appointment went very good the doctor explained to me the problems I'm having did around three x-rays did some few adjustments people in the comments looking for relief form the first appointment witch is not gonna happen with any clinic because chiropractors needs to look at the x-rays and study them and start working on the problems but very nice doctor very nice team

Dr. Kris is a magician, and is clearly meant to be a practicing chiropractor! As a patient that has bounced around from different practitioners due to my travels, I can confidently say that he is one of the best I've been a patient of, and is very thorough in his assessments, which then lead to very fast and effective adjustments. If you have severe pain, limited mobility in your neck from sports (hockey, football, baseball, etc.), very tight muscles from car accident (s), and/or just pain from poor posture, I strongly suggest contacting Core Wellness Centre for the relief you need! And, it is very reasonably priced relief.

I have been seeing Dr. Kris Dorken for the past few months after dealing with acute on chronic neck pain. I was a little hesitant at first, but the neck pain was unbearable. I visited this clinic after doing extensive research online to find help for the extreme pain I was feeling on my lower back. I couldn’t take it anymore and could not wait for my usual place to open (closed bc of Covid). The first visit I had I was super excited because I knew I was going to get X-rays done and an extensive exam (as per info on website) to determine the treatment I needed ($80). I was put in a room and the doctor came in, skimmed through my forms that I filled out, I mentioned FOUR times why I was there but he didn’t really follow into that and was extremely interested about other chiro’s I had visited and how they operated. Also kept he kept interupting me to ask about my job and the protocols for it (I work loss prevention at a big department store). It wasn’t in a way of wondering if I’m on my feet all day that could lead to my back pain, it was about details about everything including if the cops come get you. What does that have to do with my back pain? He took about 6 or 7 X-rays in different positions, Then told me he wouldn’t look at them because they needed to be “studied”. I was a bit taken back because for $80 I expected at least half hour of an appointment, especially from all the info I read on their website stating its an extensive thorough exam. He told me he would adjust me ($40) and left the room without any other info. His receptionist comes in and asked me to sit in the middle of the waiting area to do exercises… I have so much anxiety and having to do that in the open in front of everyone is brutal. She was looking at a print out the whole time. Then I get called to the room for the adjustment, the doctor came in and did the most basic adjustment, did not ask me to breath in and out before doing anything which was very painful because I wasn’t in the right positions or ready. I should mention, before I went there I YouTubed and did lots of research on the Y- axis treatment. I was very excited to try it and read on his reviews that he is one of few doctors who do it. From what I experienced he did not do it properly at all. It felt very rushed, almost unsafe at how fast and careless it was. I have had extreme pain ever since and I was stupid enough to go back to get my x-ray results since he said he would “study’ them. He didn’t even remember who I was and asked me if he had already gone through the pictures with me. When I said no he looked at them for the FIRST time and only went through 2 pictures. It was very rushed and didn’t address the initial problem I went in for! My lower back pain, even after I again mentioned it multiple times. His receptionist also tried to charge me twice for my first appointment and I had to show her my receipt to prove I had already paid. She asked if she could call my insurance to ask about my coverage and when I asked her if she had gotten through to them she said no and walked away, Then I left and she called me a minute after telling me about the call… I was still going down the stairs. I told her I had just asked her upstairs and she laughed and said “I didn’t remember you hahaha”? I am now having to get treatment for my initial problem and whatever this guy did to my neck. I hate that I used my coverage for this. I wish I would have waited. Very un professional. I really wanted this to work but I can’t continue to go somewhere with such a lack of professionalism. Also- They did not follow proper sanitation for prevention against Covid. The table you get adjusted only had the white paper changed on your face. They did not wipe down the whole thing and Doctor did not change his gloves from patient to patient. He and his staff did all wear a mask and checked my temperature but there was no social distancing at all.

I was seeing a chiropractor for a year and half and I wasn’t getting the recovery I wanted. Within 4 visits at the core wellness, I have been making huge progress. I love that the Y strap is integrated into the session as well. I just wish I started at core wellness sooner.

We were looking for a chiropractor that could see our baby that was having issues with colic and reflux. Dr. Kris is one of very few chiropractor’s in the city that is trained specifically to see babies and he was able to see him right away. The team is very friendly and efficient with checking in and out to ensure a smooth visit. We were able get relief with our babies colic after only a couple visits which is a huge relief after we had tried everything!
I would recommend him if you are having the same issues with your baby.

I started seeing Dr. Kris in order to keep my lower back tuned up, which he has done a great job on. At the same time, one of my goals has been to lose weight. We were discussing this and he supplied me with a diet plan, which I didn't follow precisely, but it inspired me to create my own system. At 40 lbs down and counting, it seems to be working. I would recommend Dr. Kris and the Core Wellness team to anyone seeking chiropractic care.

I have 5+years chronic neck and lower back pain and all the doctors that provided me in the States was heat pad and countless trigger point injection, which cause me even more muscle problems in a long run.

Dr Kris purely only use physical adjustments on me. No painkiller, no heat pad, no injection, no BS. Now I feel way better and no more weekly massage because all my muscle knots around my neck and shoulder are gone just after couple months of treatment.

I've been coming to Core Wellness Centre for the last couple of weeks for a chronic neck and back issue that I've been dealing with. I've tried almost everything when it comes to fixing this issue but have been seeing some good results with Chris (Chiro) and Navita (RMT). Dr. Kris is an excellent Chiropractor. My first visit was very thorough; including x-rays. His explanations are very simple and his exercise plan was not overwhelming.
I have visited Dr. Kris for a month now and I feel a lot more flexible and taller. I had horrible back, shoulder and neck pains. ; caused me to turtle forward in pain often. His careful adjustments has brought me back on to a path to better well being.

I originally sought out Mr. Dorkin because he is one of very few chiropractors I found who can help with TMJ release. And have stayed, plus referred my boyfriend to this clinic, because the adjustments/treatments are really helping me in the long term with my posture, TMJ release and neck tension release. I feel a difference when doing this over time, with noticeable shifts and sensations felt in my body. All staff here are nice, friendly, accommodating, and pricing is very reasonable. Overall it's been a hugely beneficial program for me and is the perfect complimentary to my fitness regime. Mr. Dorkin listens to your particular needs and makes custom adjustments based on them.

I’m a chef (33yo) and i needed to stop and take care of myself once for good.
With that kind of job you just destroy your body.
Went to another chiropractor before, not professional and also more expensive.

After a month of treatment i finally went back to full motion and i can feel the energy coming back.

Had a very bad experience with the doctor here. I was in severe lower back pain. As part of diagnosis, the doctor took x ray but never look3d at them and went to attend other patients handing me to the physio. Then doctor calls me and ask to come again to talk about the xrays as he didnt look the last time. Then why did we do it? Do they take pleasure in asking patients who are in pain to come again. Had a very bad experience in one of the worst pains of my life. Would not recommend it to anyone

After my car accident I had so much trouble resuming my daily life and when working I was in consistent back pain. Dr. Kris changed all of that! I am able to work with no pain, I can pickup my kids again.
