I do not write reviews even when I have had an unpleasant experience. However, yesterday was a different story. It was my first time ordering food from here and it was during the lunch rush. I ordered a battered fillet with potatoes and a salad. (I want to mention that I ate nothing unusual for breakfast or dinner yesterday.) The fillet was cold and so were the potatoes. 3 hours pass and my stomach felt uneasy. I now have the stomach bug and had to call in sick for work today. As for the staff, it looked like a big social gathering behind the counter. The lady serving me didn't even ask which size of fish I wanted after realizing there were two sizes. If you want great Portuguese food, go to Churrasqueira Nova Esperanca in Brampton. I went there for years and never had an issue. Staff is respectful, helpful and there to work.

Worst customer service.
Called 3 times to ask for availability of food.
No confirmation over the phone
But when walked in multiple items were unavailable.

I have been ordering from this good Portuguese barbecue chicken for over 30 years starting at the original oak wood location
Tonight was awful
No taste overly done
Not impressed
Maybe they have become too big
Will consider picking up from them next time

Great food and service but at this day and time CASH ONLY makes life inconvenient having to pay banking fees+ ABM fees to have a meal (that could be used towards the waitress' tip)

This was close to my work and always smells good. I went for lunch not long after it opened. I got a lunch combo which was $14 and reasonably priced. The chicken was good.the potatoes were a bit disappointing.it tasted like it needed to be cooked a little more and warmed up. The vegetables were okay.

It really depends who serves you. For some odd reason a level chicken dinner two sides, the lady that served me gave me 90% rice for both my meals and 10 potatoe balls for 1 order and a tiny scoop of vegetables for the 2nd order. Maybe she was the owner but the side proportions is ridiculous. Make sure to pay attention as they are maybe low on potatoes and vegetables than rice.

Worst customer service ever. The staff here is not polite, they won't even share availability of dishes over the phone. When walked in multiple times, multiple items were unavailable.
What a waste of time.

The food might be good but when you order for pickup they give you what they want and not what you ask for.

This is the second time that I order for take out and again I ask for MEDIUM potatoes and MEDIUM rice and that give me Large everything and tell me that I HAVE to take what they prepared and won't give me what I ordered.

Last time I ordered 2 whole chicken and they gave me 3 and told me the same thing when I went to pick it up.

I was looking for a place that had barbequed chicken. I read good reviews and thought we would try it via Uber Eats. I ordered 1/2 chicken and thought it was delicious, very moist, fresh with a barbeque grill flavour:) I love chicken and find some can be very dry however this was excellent! We will order from here again!

Went to restaurant for takeout - heard good things; about 4: 30pm. I ordered a whole chicken, med potatoes, small veggies.
I believe this had to be the smallest whole chicken I've ever received. When ordering, I wanted moist - the girl at the counter, and a cook said to get the rotisserie vs grilled. It was totally dried out. Disgusting - almost inedible. But flavour was OK.
Potatoes were good.
Veggies - seemed frozen, without flavour.

Should have gotten my meal from Loblaws - you can see what you're getting ahead of time.

It's a place that when you sit down you may not want to leave. If you snooze you lose an hour sitting in good service. Hahahaha. Give them a try. I know I've been there twice and their ribs are top five on their menu

A lot of people and service process disorganized. Messy at counter. Fast service. Food is standard but NOT the best. Limited choices in their menu and they only were accepting payments in cash. So it made even more hard. This counter is always crowded, maybe because of the location but certainly NOT because their food nor their service.

This is a little gem at Wilson and Keele! The good was excellent! The staff were very friendly and kind! Did I mention the food! Delicious will definitely come back!

Food is delicious and no complaints.
Only problem happen on June 23 2022 at 4: 07pm
They forget to add part of my order (half ribs) that is compressive for massive orders they have.
But when I went to complain they sent me to hell and the Latin woman who was there did not want to attend to me. Later I tried to call and they only told me we are going to call you and they never did. I would only like that they have given me a good treatment and have solved my disagreement

Food is always good and service is fast. Unfortunately, this is a cash only and the ATM machine on site only accepts debit cards making it incredibly inconvenient.

This place is not portuguese.
It's all mexican run and operated. The food was absolutley terrible. How anyone can give this place more then 2 stars is beyond me.also no A. C working

My fav go to place. The best portugués chicken in Toronto HANDS DOWN! I just wish they can accept debit/credit
