Costco Pharmacy

Horrible customer service. Not sure why they put someone who makes no effort to serve customers at the front counter.

* Lined up to ask a question - Does Costco offer Shingrix vaccine injection at this location. Guy behind the counter said "Yes".
* I asked if I needed a prescription, to which he said he wasn't sure but most people come with a prescription.
* So I asked again on whether I needed a prescription and he answered same that he's not sure but RECOMENDED that I get one.
* I asked for the 3rd time and he gave me same answer.
* I finally got impatient and asked if he can go and confirm with someone else on whether I needed a prescription. He finally went to the back room and came back and said that a prescription is NOT needed but there's a few dollars discount on the vaccine if I have a prescription.

Did I have to tell him to reconfirm or should he automatically take the initiative to reconfirm if he is not sure? I mean, isn't this very basic customer service and common sense? Why would I waste my time to go see my doctor for just a prescription (which my doctor probably wouldn't given it to me since one is not needed) & jack up OHIP medical costs unnecessarily? Unbelievable. No confidence on staff at this Costco pharmacy.

They lost my prescription between them and another Costco pharmacy and gave me the run around. Refused to help me and I’ve been without my prescription for 2.5 weeks.like that’s not dangerous at all.

My mom and I took our flu shots this afternoon (Nov 25 2021) at this pharmacy. The Chinese young man who administrated the shots was absolutely incredible. He took time explaining different kinds of flu shots to us (coz my mom is 65+). He's efficient and very kind. I recommend this location for your flu shot. Remember to make appointment online and fill out all required forms before visiting the pharmacy. It will speed up the whole process.

The staff here is hit or miss, some of them are very rude while others are very kind and knowledgable. In terms of getting my medication I have never had a problem, they are always efficient but do tend to have long wait times. I believe they are understaffed or the people working the register are just very slow. Probably a bit of both I guess.

I have always been a member of this store, and I really like their management sales model, but the service I received in the pharmaceutical department today is sad and frustrating. One person name called Mahama came to the man to serve us, and looked disdainful and thought that he was the police, and we are like the heinous criminals. I don't know if he will be the same ugly to the ethnic groups outside the Chinese. At that time, I only had one idea, why do we have to look for it!

IT’S COSTCO. Most of the staff is really nice there. I think they should have a bit more accommodation to different languages.
