Costco Wholesale

Bad fruit, Costco used to be quite vigilant in ensuring fresh produce entered our homes. Now a bag of apples have rotten cores. Meat lasts a day, when are we going to stop giving these stores our hard earned money? Wake up guys!

Around 5: 30pm today (January 15th 2024) I went to return one of the boxes of Quaker Harvest that was recalled. I have not needed to return anything at Costco before. As I entered I approached the blond about 55/60 years old, I asked where I go to return this item she said the the membership side. Ok, I needed to grab a different cereal at the same time so I tired to continue on into the store. She yelled at me stating "you can't just take that into the store", and she wanted me to return it before I did anything else. She was really rude, there are other ways to notify someone of policies. I got my refund and decided not to go back in, that woman was nasty.

Prices on beef roasts and steaks seem to have skyrocketed. Even stewing beef is no longer an economical option. Lean ground beef higher priced per lb than the local grocery stores. And it would be very nice if companion products could be found together. Why aren't coffee filters in the same area as coffee?

The store is very clean and checkout was super fast.

Nice place to shop and save money, good product and good servive and the return policy unbeatable.

Great Costco location, not too rushed and also has very nice employees which are super helpful. I come here very often and always leave happy!

Large lots if products but you need to know your prices. Some products like buns bread, cake slab, cream, are really good prices all the time but your bill is largw because other products are sold I multiples. Check out was fast and you're are also self checkout. I was disappointed when I tried to buy a sundae and had trouble ordering it on a computer.

When you see one you've seen all. Its a place to see large sized stuff. Sometimes well priced and they price match. Nice

Worst Costco I have ever been to in my life! They denied me entry with my service dog! Not caring I had the proper documentation they refused to let me go in, so disrespectful and I feel ashamed knowing there are people in this community who don’t care are uneducated on this topic, very dissatisfied…

After so many years of being an Executive Costco member, I have to say my yesterday's customer service experience was absolutely horrible, from the lady that was doing our return to the manager on duty! He was rude, would not listen at all, he absolutely didn't care what I had to say, I felt like I was at Walmart; So very disappointing! Costco, PLEASE, when you hire new people MAKE SURE they ARE PEOPLE PERSONS. Keep your standards high.

I purchased a iPhone from Costco at Ritson today, and I was indeed very happy by the guidance and advice I got from Haroon. He was extremely helpful and explained everything very clearly. He very patiently answered all my queries. Haroon has a very in-depth knowledge and I appreciate his help. I wish him all the best. Also appreciate all the help that Keesha gave me.

I love costco anywhere. The croissants were delicious, the kale salad was great and I even found some great clothes!

Good store, seems to have more unique offerings than my home store in Ajax. They have sushi (not very good though unfortunately). I think it's a bigger store than the Ajax one which might explain it. In any event it's Costco, you know what you are going to get here!

Pure Christmas vibes in there. Lot of things are different and lots of things were missing when I compared to my local Costco at Vaughn.

Better Costco warehouse on the GTA East. Way better than Scarborough and Ajax locations. New Costco warehouse location opens up at North Oshawa that will cater Whitby, Brooklin, Scugog and Port Perry customers.

Just re-joined after 4 years.
Don't have a lot of things we used to like.
Great prices on some bulk items we bought.
While they're meat is great, at they're high price point, I can do better at a local butcher.

You know what it's bad when the store causes you body injury to some degree and online (email) support tells you to go in and request to fill out an incident report. Which I will be this week.

We went for the very first time. Joined as new members. We were given coupons for a free can of their coffee which was a nice bonus. Store is clean, well stocked but busy. I joked and said was it a national day off for employees.it was a Tuesday and it was super busy. I think I'll stay away on the weekends, lol

Decent deals, but not a fan of other customers. They are all over the place and don't watch where they are going. I had a double stroller with 2 kids under 2 and they were almost hit multiple times

Normally, Oshawa Costco is excellent.this time, not so much.waiting in line at the pharmacy went on & on & on.only 1 person behind the counter to serve (not her fault). All I wanted was an over-the-counter item.not an Rx! Told passing employee & she suggested about talking to manager and I suggested she should! Left & came back.finally 2 behind counter.why can't OTC items (Hylo eye drops) be more easily served?

Well stocked and laid out the same as most costco's. Stock changes often, but the general popular costco items are always there. Meat quality is slipping though, I used to work as a butcher and the chicken is getting watery. Plus stop blade tenderizing your good cuts of steak if your cutting them 1" or more thick, no one is spending $20 on a high quality areal you have to cook to ar least medium. It makes no sense.

This is my first time going here while having a membership of my own. But I didn't go in or get anything. Mostly because my anxiety was through the roof and I wasn't quite ready to face humanity and attempt to pick up a card from the front. So, I'll just wait till next time. I'm sure I'll use this poor impulse membership one day!

Costco always has the best quality products with reasonable prices.
For the Oshawa store, they have some local and store made products that you can't find in other stores.
Overall, experience is great especially with the great customer service.

Better get your Xmas gifts nice and early. They have a good collection of adult and kids gifts but if you see something you like grab it and decide later because you'll probably not find it.

The visit that this review pertains to was actually for the gas station. The line was short, the gas was expensive, and no one knew how to pull out when they're done to let someone else in.

This Costco is bigger and have more items and most importantly cleaner. Staffs are really nice.

On the way in while at least 40 people walked in they selected me to produce my membership which I had but I was the only African-American walking in very dissatisfied Costco you're better than this.

Beside being incredibly busy at any time during day, Costco doesn't accept Visa card and will try and push there own mastercard on you.

Good selection of products but strangely, some items I wanted were sold out (not toilet paper)

Not crowded when I went. Plenty of open cashiers, and no waiting in line to pay.

Bought $50 with of sirloin steaks. Got home to realize the steak was not good (dark spotting on it). Put it in the freezer, and arranged to have it exchanged or returned the next time we go for another grocery run. (Live in Bowmanville, so 2 weeks later.) Took the meat in, and the woman at customer service (manager), said sorry the meat is past the expiry date (expiry date was 3 days after we bought it). Told her it was bad when we got home and stored it. Manager said you should've called us to arrange a return at a later date.

Disappointing experience for $50 with of meat. I purchase on average over $5000 in groceries from them yearly. I see Costco has lowered their customer service standards, in exchange for financial gains.

Not going to be going here anymore.

Able to get everything on my list plus some. Arrived at 10: 30am on a Tuesday morning, not busy at all until we were leaving at noon.

They did a pretty poor job keeping everyone separated, especially in the food court.kinda just a free for all

Booked an oil change a week in advance only to to be told that they don't do BMW cars when I arrived on the appointment date. I had already provided them the make and model of the car when I booked the appointment.

Well it wld be nice if Cosco posted a sign letting the " Front line workers" that took care of people during a world pandemic know that there will no longer be " front line privilege". A sign wld be better than some rude employee yelling and pointing " No! Get to the back of the line" and humiliating people. Shame on the lack of professionalism. Really disappointed in Cosco. Pathetic.

Great as usual except for the other shoppers. I just don’t understand why Costco brings out the worst in people. Leaving their cart in the middle of an isle to go look at something. Letting their kids push the cart as she runs into other people. Check out was smooth, didn’t wait a minute.

Crazy busy this morning with lineups to cash out for self serve and cashier all the way back to the frozen food section. Plan for lots of time

No real covid protocols in place. No door count, well over 25% capacity to the eye. Directional markings are worn or not present at all. Cashiers not wiping down the belt between customers. No social distancing by customers or staff. Very disappointing visit.

Excellent customer service! When I needed help due to a knee injury, they were right there to assist when I needed help.

Actually not too bad. The place was not too busy for once. Zero waiting in lines to get in or out cashier was extremely helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking.

I find that the staff here think they feel they're better then everyone else in society, I definitely feel they're not approachable in anyway. I asked and employee a simple question of where an item was, I was told a few isles that way then they walked away from me. The store is starting to go down hill. Definitely not renewing my membership.

Everytime I visit this Costco the staff will stop only myself and my family to ask for membership. I never see them stop to ask non POC for their membership. They let everyone else enter the store without asking for membership. Moreover, while in the store, I’m constantly watched by staff. What’s up with that? The store needs to do better. If you’re a POC, beware.

I don’t know how so many people shop here, it’s so expensive. Last time I checked a 6 pack of bagels was 6.99$ at Costco when I can buy a 6 pack of bagels anywhere else for 1$. Was watched the entire time in the clothing section and then criticized for looking at a shirt. We had a super rude cashier, made us feel really stupid, never greeted us and made mean comments when we asked a question. Left the store very upset. We will not be returning any time soon.

I try to go in the morning when it's not crazy busy! There are lots of great deals. The gas they sell is cheap and my truck has been getting way better milage. Very happy I got a membership

Lot of great products at reasonable price, membership price could be little less, could do better with tire centre, convenient propane fill up and gas bar, hours should be longer, be prepared to spend some time to find parking, and once in store be prepared to spend more cash than normal because of bulk packages, more value though. Great for large families and getting lot of things for parties.

Always find what I want, prices are always good and the staff here are always great. There is a reason why I should here more often than I'd like to admit.

Gotta love Costco. Lots of great deals. Don't be fooled not everything is on sale because it's bulk. Jewellery is your number one score especially diamonds. At costco they only mark up there jewelry 15 percent. Where as you go to a jewelry store in the mall and they mark it up 200 percent. If you bought a ring for your future wife and were planning on spending say 15k at costco the same ring would only coat 8-10k. And the Costco ring might still be better. And yes better then then Spence diamond store. Better cut color clarity

I love Costco because of their great prices for the quality products you are getting. Whether its electronics, books, kitchen tools or clothes, Costco usually offers the best quality at the best price.
Overall, I'm just confident in what I buy there. One thing to keep in mind is that the food usually comes in large quantities that make it somewhat inconvenient for smaller households.
Also, Costco manages to be very busy most of the time, which tends to make parking annoying.

Best American retailer in Canada. Lots of selection at great prices. Well kept store. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. No need for a union in the organization, because they treat their employees well so there is no need for one. Support local jobs and save a dime at the same time.

So my friend and I were ticketed $100 for parking at the side of Costco, the ticket said it was because we parked near a fire route. We've taken pictures, and there is no sign anywhere near where we were parked, and there were other cars parked there as well, with no tickets. We went back another day, and 2 other vehicles were parked in the exact same spot, we took pictures, and they had no tickets. We will be fighting this ticket, AND we will be petitioning to have Costco add more signs to indicate a fire route. Once these goals are met, I will add more stars and rewrite the review

Bought my Himalayan salt block from this store a while ago when it went on sale for $9.97 each. I love cooking pork chops on this salt block on my Broil King. Leaves a nice salt flavor on my pork that sprinkling salt on top wont taste the same.

The store has good prices and some great items/meat in stock. However, the place is always swamped with people, and most seem to be either in an incredible hurry, or a foul mood.

I don't really find I can do my regular grocery shopping here. Gas price is good and I like to pick up the odd grocery item.

Parking Lot is poorly designed with awful traffic flow.
Inside gets very crowded, but the checkout lines move quick enough.
Grocery and Household items are priced comparable to other stores, many things can be had cheaper when they are on sale at other stores. Seasonal items and clothing are usually a good value here.
Tire shop is absolutely terrible to deal with; I don't recommend the tire shop at all.
Snack bar can't be beat for a quick lunch at a very low price.

You can find almost everything here. Prices are good as well. Although for clothing sometime it's hard to find your size.

I hope they build another in oshawa, everyone goes there. How about ritson north at Taunton old Zellers lot. That would be great especially with how much the Shwa has grown.

*Water will cost you $0.25 at Costco. $1.50 for a Hot Dog with unlimited pop! I rarely drink pop. I like to drink water, but that'll cost me another $0.25 it's at the water vending machines. Just another water disposable water bottle to fill up this planet. They don't give water at the counter and they don't let you have water at the dispensary. So why everybody is enjoying one or two glasses of their fever soft drink, I go to the vending machine and put my. $0.25 on the vending machine. There's no reason why they cannot have their drinking fountain changed to also fill up water bottle or they're cups!

It takes 1 experience to ruin it forever. Came home with 12kg of rotten beef.took it back for a refund.yes I got my money back.

Costco is my favorite place for shopping near Christmas becoz in November they starts for marketing it's different variety of chocolate s and Christmas cakes, which r loved by all.

Mostly good selection on grocery, clothing & etc. Sometimes there's lack of personnel when leaving the store to check receipts or process refunds.

Great store and good shopping experience, except for the tire center. Never get an answer from someone on the line in order to make an appointment for oil or tire change. Even complained to administrators about this, who told me they would give my number to the tire department, and never got a call back. This has happened twice. Not happy about the way this has been handled. Have to drive 45 minutes to get there because we live out in the countryside. So driving there just to make an appointment is not very acomondating to customers.

Checkout lines are very hectic so prepare! But it is a good place for buying food in bulk. There are food taste stands but only at certain times while Costco is open. There is also very cheap but tasty selection of food (hotdogs, chicken wings, chicken fingers and fries) which I definitely recommend. Very pocket friendly but belly building!
