Great place to shop with large family and always able to save on bulk items. It has thousands of members and always full of shoppers. Some may say differently as they spend over hundred of dollars per trip but the saving is well worth. It is shoppers choice.
Always a mess. In door space is reducing. Everywhere there are piles of stuff around. Costco needs some serious space management otherwise we are just going to stop as it is becoming hectic day by day
The worst location ever, the receptionist at the tire center very rude and has attitude and hardly working and not helpful at all. She needs to learn how talk to the customers.
Shopped here on and off, for the past 21 years living in this area.
In the low 2000, when my kids were in diapers, we used to go there a lot. Bought diapers, drugs from their onsite pharmacy.
There used to be an optical store there, not sure, if it is still there. When kids were young, used to buy them food, from the fast food store on the premises.
One time in the past, my kids tried grilled lamb, guess they were hungry, to the date, my adult son and daughter love lamb. Thank you, Costco for that!
A variety of all kind of products. From groceries to houseware, jewellrey, electronics, clothes, books, furniture etc. Near the main entrance, used to be a place where you could buy car tires and cigarettes. There is a gas station on the premises.
Last time I went there recently, I tried to buy beef. Found it way too expensive for my liking, bought something else and came home.
Still a good experience and am recommending it, if you need lots of groceries or other Costco products.
It is a small Costco location in size but really busy as it caters to the large section of the population. It will be nice If this Costco wholesale location moves to a bigger & more spacious location close by. It is always over crowded & busy be it weekdays or weekends. Except for the gas station can stay in the same location but it is also extremely crowded & busy even after they recently completed some upgrades and added more pumps & is capable of handling more crowd.
December, 22/2021 14: : 57: 58 Right now I’m in the car and I am writing down this about the manager and supervisor. I explained it to supervisor that I am using self machine because no one Touch my stuff. I understand when you get your receipt at the door they check out, but not at the machine. And I told him it’s not my first time it’s a many years I am Costco’s customer. Cashier lady touched my receipt and she was trying to touch my shirt. One explained everything to supervisor and supervisor giving me really bad attitude. I asked to talk to manager. Manager was around there too. He was kind of oh I’m late I gotta go. Then I explained again to him. Same thing he’s route same as a supervisor. Isn’t it their job to be nice with people and solve the problem.
I did my shopping at costco ellesmere and when inwas sorting out my stuff i realized i dont have my organic honey so i went back to this location and the cart guys directed me to the customer service. So i explain to them what happen and Jaden told me to grab one and come back to him. So I grab one and went straight to him and he escorted me to the door so i wont have problem showing my organic honey. I thought Jaden went above and beyond customer service and my day a very happy one. Kudos to the ellesmere costco staff especially to Jaden
Have been trying reach the administrative staff for past 10 days and have been calling at various times of day, but phones are never answered. Decided to visit the Warehouse and the item I was looking for was not on the floor although their computer said they should have it. Sp to a Supervisor which offered to look into the product and have the night crew search for the item and they will advise the next day of the outcome. Now 2 days later, no callback and when calling the Warehouse again, still not answerinf the phone lines.
Caira’s did an extra miles to help me to look for the item that I was looking for. Most people would just tell you it’s out of stock but she took my information and make sure that the item are place upon arrival. She understand what customer service is all about very good job keep it up
Very good price and very good quality of food! I regularly get grocery supplement from Costco. The only demerit is that there is always too many people on weekends, like you are in a crowded parade. Perhaps I will try a week day visit.
Good store for shopping. Costco always has the best quality products with reasonable prices. For this store, they have some local and store made products that you can't find in other stores. Overall, experience is great. I rated you 4 only for the cashiers disrespect on many different occasions.
Typical Costco store and always fairly busy. Pretty well organized overall. Better to try and visit on a weekday if possible as the weekends get pretty hectic here. This location also has a Costco Cafe for a great value snack after you blow the budget shopping
I was very disappointed the way my partner and I were treated. The couple in front of us (male and female) went through checkout and the wife showed her Costco card. That was acceptable. When my partner and I went through the cashier refused to cash us out until we both showed that we had a Costco card (which we both did have). When we asked why only the wife in front us had to show her card but not her husband the cashier wouldn't answer and still demanded we showed both of ours. I understand the need for showing proof but perhaps this should be done for everyone so there is no discrimination. As a brand new executive member I'm very disappointed in Costco for this archaic process.
If you have to go to the automotive center, good luck. Lines are long and they hardly move. Nobody there to control who's in line or isn't. Disappointing.
It's Costco. You know the deal: absolute mayhem inside the store; absolute mayhem in the parking lot; get in line for 45 minutes to save a few cents on gas. Costco is not cheap, but the quality of their wares is almost always terrific. And of course we can't forget the very best thing about Costco -$1.50 footlong hotdog and pop! If Costco were on fire I would still go in for that hotdog deal.
I would like to pass my appreciation to the young lady, Angie who worked at the tire center, Costco, the branch at 1141 Warden Ave, Scarborough, ON.
She helped me to select the snow tire for my wife’s car and ordered it online, which was a great help since I don’t know very well of how to find out the correct size and type online. I may seems easy for some customers, but it is kind challenging for me.
Angie was doing such an excellent job to help me. One thing that contributes me to post a feedback is that she was threatened by one of the customers to make a complaint to her manager. To be honest, it was quite busy that afternoon for her to deal with all the customers and make everyone happy on Nov 26. The upset customer was very unhappy because Angie was trying to help her colleagues to find out the missed tires for one previous customer. Everyone wants to get attention and wants their requests or concerns to be answered, but they at least need to show respect to others. If Angie was sitting there doing nothing and ignore customers request, it may be a another case. However, the poor young lady was been very busy with her job. She deserve respect and being treated politely. Thank you Angie, I really appreciate your kind help. Hopefully, she may have a better night after the long day working and did not need to worry about that her manager may give her hard time.
People, when your waiting in your car to get gas get your credit card ready to pay instead of waiting til you are at the pump. Maybe costco should put a sign up that says get your card ready. It's a win win for everyone.
So many cars waiting for gas when I get there. Also, a lot of people waiting in line for check out inside the store. Didn't shopping there and would come again after the long weekend. If still so busy, would not come anymore.
Hi, great trained staff there. I bought a lovely kayak two days ago, when I installed the boat, I found a screw nut missed from its packed package which is used to fix the boat ruder. I was very upset because it is special. So I drove to the store and the gate girl showed me to one manager whose first name is Phillips. He is very friendly and professional and told me the way to solve the problem. I told him what I thought and opinion. He finally solve the problem which way I liked in a short time. I am so moved and happy by his efficiency and dedication to customer thinking. Hope the store not only provide best product, also best service further. I like to say thank all of you.
I like the products prices should make more promotions lower as in America, I didn't like being in line to people do not respect 2 meters distance in the very crowded store can barely walk in the aisles has control over the number of people inside.
Super crowded at the gas pumps, even with the new reno. The employees working there could be a bit better at guiding the.uncoordinated.people that don't know how to follow the line. Honestly, when I can avoid going to Warden location, I ALWAYS do it.
Nice prices.everything in just one place. But usually crowded and unfortunately they renew automatically your membership. Like to go there once or twice by year to bring vitamins, canadian curriculum books for the whole year. So better to find a friend who has a membership.
Be careful when you go there. The steroid muscle bound security will try to pick a fight with you when you're exiting the store if you disagree with Costco employee who is checking receipts at the door. Real tough guy to pick a fight with you in front of your kids. Great job Costco for employing people like that.
Disappointed about the rude service we got today. Totally not happy how she (named Katherina) handle the situation. Never experienced such service like that since today which ruined our day. She's the only person saying this and that not possible when in fact we've been doing that since we became member 7 years ago. Don't go to her counter if you don't want to her to ruin your day.
This is an extremely busy Costco. Its one of the few Costco's in the GTA that has a gas station which probably adds to the amount of traffic congestion in the parking lot. However, since it is so busy it means there is a high turnover rate in terms of the products and produce. Thus insuring that you usually get fruits and vegetables that haven't been sitting on the shelf for a very long period of time.
I've been here over half an hour and accomplished almost nothing. 20+ minutes for customer service to process the 9 returns ahead of me. Nearly missed my tire centre appointment because of that. Can't park in the tire centre parking because regular shoppers snatch up those spots to be closer to the door. Food court kiosks are turned off. Even the staff are complaining about the other employees' inefficiency. A worker just walked by the massive food court line and said, "why don't they have the second till up and running? " Why indeed.
This is the compliant I wrote on their email link:
I paid for my pizza and drink so I was holding onto my blue receipt. I walked over to the fountain to start filling my drink with my reusable cup and then a staff member who was filling up her water bottle told me that I cannot use my cup except for water. So I calmly explained to her that I already paid for it and showed her my receipt. She still told me a firm no and told me to go over and pick up my food with my cup. When I walked over to pick up my food, I asked the cashier and she brushed me off telling me to ask management. Then I walked over to the costumer service counter and asked which line should I wait in for a compliant. The guy asked me what the compliant is about, so I told him. Then he referred me to the comment box.
In this day and age, why is Costco still not accepting reusable cups? I was persistent in my explanation of not wanting to create extra garbage, and none of the staff cared. If you are selling the pop at a loss anyway, don't you want to minimize your cost? If they tell me that they have to tape the receipt to my cup or something like that, I would be happy to oblige. However, forcing me to use a cup that I don't need is unacceptable, especially in the upcoming ban on disposable items! I am outraged not only by your policy, but your staff's approach to the situation as well.
Poor parking. Less register. Always long line ups on cash. Last Sunday 1 hour for gas. No mobile gas station a concept which is alien to them. Management like to put people in long lines.
Good snack bar great prices good tasting food waste of money if you don't have a big family regular stores have same or better prices (no membership required)
The pharmacy at this Costco is horrible! I went there to fill a prescription and they were saying my account wasn't registered and I would not be covered. I phoned my insurance company and they said that there was no holds on my account. Turns out the pharmacist was entering the wrong account number. I waited over 45 minutes just to get my prescription filled.
Some of the new gas bars at the Warden and Ellesmere location are not yet open so there is still a bit of a wait. However, splitting the lanes sooner than before is really appreciated. The jockeying for position at the last moment has been eliminated.
Went for propane and found out gas bar is closed till end of November for renovation. Thank goodness propane was still open. One talk was outdated and I was credited back to my credit card, just make sure attendant writes on receipt and signs it
Parking is a nightmare. The wait times for gas are extremely long. Besides that it's great place to shop for quailty products, both food and clothing wise.
Huge store that has almost everything you need at home though you must be a member. Love the meat section and if you have children that love reading, they will be spoilt for choice with books. Prices are reasonable. Try to shop not too early in the morning or too late in the evening. The store can get congested and the lines to pay too long.
Inside is typical Costco. Outside, because there are building more had pumps, a section of the parking lot is under construction. So currently parking is a nightmare at this location.
We all know most Costco locations are always busy no matter what day or time of the week. However, this one is especially busy. It is too busy and I only come here if I really have no choice to go anywhere else and the location is convenient for me.
Wasted 30min to get a card. Waiting for my bf in the seating area, and then 3 senior Chinese ladies barged in and demanded my seat because they are senior. After I refused twice, she took the seat anyways and accused me of not caring for senior people. They said foreigners would be so polite to give away seats to them. But sadly, they didn’t demand any foreigners to give their seats to them because they couldn’t speak proper English. I will just pretend I don’t speak Chinese from now on.
Cheap price compare to other gas station. But you spend around 30 minutes to line-up before you get the price. So be patient and fill full tank if possible.
It was a good store, we trusted it a lot.but now the products quality getting worth and prices getting higher. Especially food. We have to watch carefully.
