COVID-19 Assessment Centre

I just want to thank all the staff working here. I went there for COVID testing yesterday. I was so stressed cause I had some symptoms. They are super friendly and welcoming. Nurses, doctors and front desk administrators all are nice and friendly. They listen to you and advise you in the best way. This centre is highly recommended. I did my test at 7 pm and got my results in 10 hours! They are super fast and organized.

Booked an appointment here but when I got there I was told it was closed by the security guard. Do not go here.

Just went in for my third test today. Lines are long but move fast. Go early. Staff is great. People under 16 and above 65 go to the front of the line between 8am-10am.

I was in the asymptomatic line. One of the nurses came over and grabbed four of us just as we were next to be tested. Turns out she was bringing us over to the line with symptomatic people because it was shorter. We then had to wait to check in again. Not only did I watch everyone who came in after me in the asymptomatic line leave after getting tested while I waited in the line of symptomatic people, my exposure was increased while doing it. Why have two separate areas if you’re you’re just going to merge them and expose asymptomatic people anyways.

PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE. I’ve been here from 8: 10am and now it’s 12: 44 and I still have not gotten through. They have priority lines for people with symptoms and for children and the lines don’t move. This is ridiculous!

Clean and well managed process for testing. There are separate waiting areas for people with symptoms and those with no symptoms.

Very polite and helpful staff. I did everything in 30 min.
Results were ready next morning, less than 24 hours.

I went at 12pm to do the test I got in at 2pm it was ok but the line is too busy and what they did for who has symptoms and who does not have symptoms is a different line.

The test is free under OHIP insured. I

Went on a Friday afternoon and waited for 1.5 hours, and the traffic is due to the lack of staff. Only 1 staff was registering. Not sure if this is normal for GTA.

Be prepared to wait for a long time; read a book, reply your messages, or talk with people in line.

No masks were provided. And don't forget your health card. Be prepared.

My overall experience was pretty good. Security guard was helpful and polite, guiding people to where they needed to stand. I waited an hour before getting registered. After that, I was out in 15 min.

Pros - staff were all very polite and kind, not rushed or aggravated.

Cons - extreme lack in patient privacy in terms of health information. The 2 registration desks are not 6 feet apart and clearly the patient information can be easily heard between them. As well, I believe people who have been potentially exposed or symptomatic were being tested right in front. So everyone in line is standing right there, watching, and most importantly, listening.

Very quick! It takes me total 40 minutes to finish the process (the swabbing testing is only for 10 seconds).

Came around 2: 30 pm on a weekday. Was in and out in under 45 min. Everyone was friendly and the procedure took less than a minute. Thank you to the heroes who work here!

It took most people there almost 4 hours to get tested today! Not sure why it's taking so long now but probably because many are coming with kids and family in the past few days. So plan accordingly: 4 hours, most of which you can't sit, drink or eat.

They are really quick. From standing in the line to coming out, it just took me 1 hour. Get your results in 24hrs!

Super fast results! I got myself tested on Sunday afternoon, and I received my results on Monday morning (less than 24 hrs). Great staff. Four stars because it's a walk-in. A drive-thru style would be better to reduce the chance of transmission.

As a healthy, socially isolating adult I have needed to get tested for Covid 19 in order to have distanced, outdoor visits with my elderly mother in law at a Toronto Retirement Residence. Hopefully I did not contract the virus with my visit to the Branson Assessment Centre. There was little distancing between the people getting tested, especially at the 2 patient registration desk, which had 2 chairs placed within fewer than 18” of each other. By the time I had waited in the (relatively short) line and was sitting down to be registered, I realized I was sitting right beside a coughing, symptomatic young man and the people working there made no effort (beyond handing masks out) to keep him well away from the rest of us being tested. Even after the young man got up from the chair to proceed to the Covid 19 testing area, his chair was not sanitized. I admit I was quite shocked and dismayed. The only reason in the first place that I had gone to the Centre was to prove that I was not sick in order to be able to sit outside with my aged family member, with mask and almost 3 metres between us. With God’s grace I did not contract this virus at the one place I needed to go to prove that I was healthy.

Staff are great and we owe them many thanks but the test site is a dangerous place for COVID assessment. A young man was behind me in the line up and looked very symptomatic. I hope he is ok but I am worried. Why can’t they just swap in a drive through?

Staff were kind and patient. There was not a long wait, entire experience took roughly 30 minutes, enter to exit. Big thanks to our medical professionals!
